    Stickied League 2 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2018/2019

We've currently got Kingsley Eshun - a striker released by QPR on trial, he scored in a friendly against Oldham last week. Also got a couple other un-named triallists. Anyone know where David Edgar went? He turned down an offer of a trial with us back in January because of location, since then...

CUFC Derby (4/6) Colchester v Carlisle

We've looked pretty disjointed since Pressley came in. Not through his lack of ability, just because the players who left weren't just good players in themselves, but also we had set up under Sheridan to play to their strengths and so Pressley comes in to a squad that needs reorganising and...

    GOOD NEWS!

Yeah I'm sure Harvey was just a puppet and they'll find a new puppet. I mean, worth noting that the Checkatrade is just a footnote in that article and it was offending the top Championship clubs that ultimately cost him his job.

    The League 2 Promotion thread

We've been a bit lucky I think with other results over the last week. I think I said we needed a minimum of 6 points from the three games Exeter, Crewe and MK. Given other results we could maybe have gotten away with 4 points, but not 1 point.

If the season was only six months long then you'd be right, I'm just going off what I keep hearing about Lincoln's attack, regardless of the number of goals scored, not being all that.

They're a less well-rounded team, relying on an excellent defence to make up for an average attack, opposed to Mansfield and Bury who have very good attacks and still good defences. Something like an injury or just an individual player losing form could affect them much more.

Conversely I think if anyone is going to drop out of the top three, it would be Lincoln. Even though they're well ahead of the others, I feel it more likely that they'll go on the poor run required to drop out than either Mansfield or Bury.

Fair Play Derby (Crewe v Carlisle)

We have different ideas of conclusive, I don't think it really shows anything more than the other angle, Devitt's foot is near Ng's head, contact is probably made, nobody knows whether it was an attempt to play the ball or a deliberate stamp. It really doesn't matter now does it? Well it...

    The League 2 Promotion thread

It's never just about winning a game or two though, it's consistency, which few contenders currently in mid-table have. I can see one or two of that group getting within sniffing distance of the play-offs, but they then have to kick on, and so far this season none of them have really done that...

It's only an outside chance though, 1st to 15th could be anywhere? More like 4th to 8th with possibilities of maybe only Tranmere and Oldham sneaking in.

If we're still in with a shout of playoffs on the last day then that could work nicely for us. We're at Yeovil :woo:
