Anyone else attend the Northampton game? I should be confident, but that, our last away game, was abysmal. Play anything like that and it’s easy pickings for Port vale.

We are down to the bare bones. We have 4 fit defenders, so one injury away from a disaster. We have one 18 yr old striker but will probably lineup with 2 wingers and Devitt as a false 9 again. Sowerby s final game which will be a huge loss and another big nail plunged in to burst our bubble. We’ve weakened the squad so much, it’s inevitable that we are going to drop.

Can see us getting a point here based on last weeks performance, but as I say if we play like we did at Northampton it could be 3 or 4-0 to Port Vale.

LMAO! 3 or 4! We’ve got probably a more water thin squad than anyone! Pope is out, Miller is hit and miss, we will set up negatively and may even play a kid from US college football that we’ve signed unless Harris is chucked straight in.

Every game we’ve won to we’ve kept a clean sheet but mostly by the odd goal and away.

last time HG was this glum was when we were last chasing promotion, when we were in the top three. I'd say his mood is inversely proportional to our points total, the more we get, the worse he gets.

We struggle score that many in the space of a month so am pretty safe in saying that won’t happen. All Carlisle need to do is score first and it’s an easy three points as we lack either the skill or creativity to come back.

I was more glum that season because we were showing signs on the pitch of an absolute collapse on the horizon, then we weakened our squad in the January and sure enough our form turned to relegation standard. We scraped into the playoffs at the end then produced shit football and got deservedly beaten. I called it that December/January and I was right. I may not be right about everything but I was right about that.

This time (Northampton away aside) we’re at least still showing promise on the pitch. It’s the way the club are obviously doing their upmost to weaken the squad to ensure we drop like a bag of shit that is pissing me off.

How can you not be annoyed by our January transfer business so far? 5 out 2 in, 3 of the outs are some of our better performers. It’s going to take one almighty turnaround by our director of football next week to save this squad from dropping.

Northampton hadn’t won at home since god knows when, then we rocked up, played shit and they won 3-0. I’m just saying that if we play like that again you’ll stuff us.

we don't stuff anybody except Stoke youth team

I’m not saying you’ll stuff us, I’m just saying you will stuff us if we play as badly as we did in our last away game. Stoke youth would stuff us if we played that bad.

By the way, we only scraped a draw with stoke youths in the check trophy group

Carlisle are a bit like us in our first season back in league one, all or nothing side it appears. We lost 21 games and finished 9th! As we never hardly drew!

We’ve been poor at home (best defence on the road worst at home!) so depends how we do at the back. Crookes was outstanding on his debt at Crawley so hopefully that’s a good sign but will learn more tomorrow.

Hopefully Harris starts and is the real deal. We are likely to be unpredictable tomorrow in that without Pope we will have to get it on the deck. Did it well last week but away form is good. Hopefully by getting it down at home we can perform better as teams generally sit in and strap two centre halves on Pope and we just lump it and it comes back.

Three big games this week ahead of a run of games against fellow strugglers, 4 points from the 3 games this week would be decent enough at this stage to take into those games.

Luke Joyce was suggesting your pitch is a potato field in a radio interview I heard today. Is he right or exaggerating?

We like to play football, but our defence prefers to face hoof it teams, so if you are indirect it won’t suit us defensively.

Wouldn’t say it’s a potato field to be honest the ball is usually 50 foot above the grass most of the time!

We usually hoof it but that’s down to hitting Pope. Miller is a short striker and so is Harris i believe so will have to get it on the deck. Joyce has actually had a decent game when we had to play football at Crawley!

Big protests tomorrow against Norman for the first time so could be interesting although some rumours tonight he had been in a car accident in Burslem??

Confirmed now by the club that the chairman Norman Smurthwaite was hit by a car near the ground last night.

That's just weird. I don't get why he would be walking down there at that time of night.

Very strange, can't see him populating Burslem's pubs in the current situation and happens the day before the first protests. Hope he is ok as much as I want him to leave I dont want to see any harm come to anyone.

Not happy with it, but not annoyed particularly, or going around throwing 3 and 4 nil predictions about. If we win today I will continue to be happy with the way things are going on the pitch.

Some reports saying he was hit by a taxi. Maybe the banner at Crawley was a warning

Uber negative at home yet again. Miller alone up front, new lad only on bench and shock horror Whitfield has slight ligament damage... ie off to Colchester.

Well done Carlisle on your easy win today.

More goals on the bench than on the pitch!
