When will York fans really truly start to get angry, Jason McGill's tenure has been a DISGRACE lately, too many just muddled along grumbled and prepared for the new season, York City just lost to AFC Telford at home in the Conference North with a manager who is stubborn, outdated and not up to the job if he refuses to change and make effective tactical decisions, living in the past, he's not the same Mills we first signed.

There should be fucking riots at the state of this club, instead we'll grumble and plod along.

Thank fuck I am boycotting.

Jesus I didn't realize things were as bad as that at the club, It's a shame really for a great football club like York City. I hope things turn around sooner rather than later mate.

Great win today against a tough team. O'Keefe was crap as always.
It was a great win, that is very harsh CFC4LIFE, I am no O'Keefe fan but he put a shift in today along with the rest of the lads, terrific TEAM performance, wouldn't criticise any player of ours today. Roll on Tuesday v Salford.

It's abysmal, at least when you, Stockport et al all struggled and very sadly declined you had financial nooses strangling you into incompetence on the pitch, we are well funded but are handicapped by a well meaning but clearly completely out-of-his-depth chairman who simply makes atrocious decisions and is way too emotionally invested in his employees to pull triggers and be ruthless when necessary.

Mills should never have been rehired and absolutely should have gone when the gamble last year failed, we needed an upcoming talented national league manner with the right nous to stabilise the club, instead we kept him.

We are such a farce and nobody is any where near as angry as they should be.

Yeah we were hoodwinked by a devious clueless freaking con merchant.
Well believe me they should be angry, because it's only gonna get worse in the long run when the rot sets in, well that's if it already has set in? Speaking from experience from our affairs.
Good luck, nowt worse than a chairman that seems to fall on deaf ears.

Some totally unexpected results in this league today. Think I did the right thing steering clear of the NL North prediction league

Which one? Reynolds, Houghton or Singh?

Hmm! I'm leaning towards Mr Reynolds out of the Three Musketeers.
Took our beloved Feethams ground away from us, and started singing 'I promised you a miracle'

Meh I think Reynolds was in it to screw the workmen who built the arena more than screwing the club, he was just an incompetent thick cockwomble who didn't have a clue, the other 2 were much worse devious 2@s with alterior motives towards the club

Typically just our luck over the years that these leeches worm their way in to our football club.
And basically they couldn't run a piss up in a brewery. They'd nick ye shoelaces if ye fell asleep.

Its only probably going to happen for us probably this once.....so silly or not i just thought i'd put up the top of the table to see 'how its going'

1. Curzon
------------------
2. Harrogate
3. Southport
4. AFC Telford
5. Alfreton
6. BPA
7. Brackley

Mind only just noticed......not a single draw, so really is also Chorley, Darlington, Leamington and Spennymoor also top.

And we head right back in with more fixtures.......

Fixtures Tuesday:

Monday:
BPA vs Southport

Blyth vs York
Boston vs Alfreton
Chorley vs Salford
Leamington vs Tamworth
NFU vs Harrogate
Nuneaton vs Kidderminster
Stockport vs Curzon
Telford vs Brackley
FCUM vs Spennymoor

Wednesday:
Darlington vs Gainsborough

Firstly i'll sneakily say.......I think Curzon will win on Tuesday at Stockport....secondly i can actually also see York and Salford also losing (they have tough games) and the 3 Faves being 6 points back already!

Harrogate i think will destroy NFU as their defence isn't good enough.

Harrogate made Nuneaton look poor yesterday with a comfortable 4 0 win. Belshaw looked solid in goal though only tested a little in the 2nd half. The whole team worked really well as a unit. An all round good performance. My cheeky tenner would be on Town this season. Roll on Ferriby on Tuesday!

It was hard to fully judge NFU yesterday really, other than defence being inept. we scored 2 goals early then we frankly sat back on our lead first half, so for 30 odd minutes NFU looked quite good, had all the ball, got it in and around box without ever really looking like scoring, but i am unsure if that was a case that they are an ok team with a poor back line or an out-right poor team which just looked better because we sat off them.

then half time gave our lot a kicking and we scored an early 3rd then their hearts dropped and frankly stopped doing much than trying to keep score down., we then switched to a more attack based formation, but at same moment they went down to 10 men so of course we created much in last part but again unsure if it was them being really poor or the situation.

but they do look a downbeat club...brought about 16 fans......for an opening day game (even we would have more and we're smallest club)

didn't really notice the fixtures at the time to see your lot had a much better looking start than others and could gain momentum.

We were shite yesterday. We play the same shape in all our friendlies, and then set up completely differently for the first competitive game. Strange.

I don't think Spenny looked much cop either, but what do I know.

I'm still trying to work out whether we may have actually put a decent side together, or whether Boston had a shocker yesterday. I'm sure they can't have been a good representation of this level.

I was quite optimistic about our chances yesterday... That went well
Di worry about us up top. Hawley isn't the answer. Beatson is getting rinced at left back. We'll need to defend like we had been doing in most of the Preseason games.
Hopefully we'll get back on track in the next week or two

It depends who you refer to.
Some fans hate chairmen and blame him.
All fans hate McNamara and blame him.
The chairman for me always backs his manager to the hilt and always provides them with a good budget which normally comes out of his pocket.you could def say he runs the club badly due to his shit choice in who he appoints, last season we had a million pound budget or top 3 budget to go back up,problem he allowed McNamara to spend it,then backed mills with healthy budget from xmas, then results picked up.
This season meant to have a top 3 budget.
Is that a sign of bad run club or chairmen.
Whether Mills is right choice is something we will find out this season.

It sounds like all cloak-and-dagger stuff goings on at the club, interestingly, that sounds promising a top 3 budget for the manager to test the water with a few more additional signings maybe?
Well, if and when needed like.

Is he the lad from Glossop North End?

If so I don't understand why we weren't in for him, seems to be highly rated.

Yep, been raving about him all pre-season here and he delivered on saturday.....has all but one thing really, an excellent first touch, pace, skill to beat a man, a cool head, can shoot from inside or outside the box quite easily,, can head a ball, has tonnes of energy and effort, probably would get 30 goals at this level if he was at a stronger side which create more, probably just 18-20 with us as we don't have the support/creativity others have, but was glad from what i have seen so far as we HAD to replace warburton and probably have.

Only thing he lacks is that bit of muscle to shrug someone off who gets more physical.....probably will get a few defenders smash the guy over season.

to be fair to Gannon the reason you won't go for him is he's a 'gamble' you needed proven because you want top spot and need players you know score at this level.....we on otherhand have to look around a gamble on players either from lower leagues or failures elsewhere and hope they do it here.

where i was maybe surprised with Gannon was him or others not going for Naill Cummins who has to be one of the best 'target men' in the division, plus someone able to grab 15-20 goals alongside it.

With Weaver in charge... Nah. He wouldn't win a raffle if he the only one in it

Southport nabbed a 90th minute winner to look like winning at BPA 2-1 to go top...............ah well was fun being top while it lasted!

Promotion should be the minimum expectation for us after the £75k Dan Bradley signing.

Ridiculous how we have ended up with no pot to piss in 2 years ago with Hockaday leading the headless chickens, to now being able to dish out fees of that magnitude. It's an excellent signing, and if we can't go up with a midfield of Croasdale/Elton/McQuilkin/Bradley I don't know if we ever will. You throw in Daly, Vaughan and Ironside as the other big names and there is serious money being thrown at it this year.

Gordon is a self-made millionaire, but he's been drumming down our ears about the club being self-sustainable. Whether his University/College link has erupted, then I struggle to see how it is the case.

I can't pick our full strength XI now.

Hall
Vaughan, Daly, Williams, Keane
Brown, Bradley, Croasdale, McQuilkin, Ngwatala
Ironside
With Webb, Weeks, Austin. Nti, Sonupe on the bench

That would potentially be it.
