What was the crack at the FCUM game at the weekend? Leamington score, and there's a group of away fans right in the centre of the home end without any segregation?! And also others dotted around in the same stand.

Northern teams get northern opponents.
Midland teams get midland opponents
Brackley gets shunted into the south-east FA cup regional draw and has to play London clubs. If we're in the south-east of England we shouldn't have top play in Conf North. If we're in Conf North we should be in the midland section of the cup draw. It's not that I dislike Conf North - its brilliant for a little club like us to be playing with big non-league clubs and ex-league clubs, and some of the levels of support in the division are really brilliant. Just don't think the midland clubs get a good deal from the north / south divisional split. Sorry, I know this is my hobby-horse...

Its non segregated and I've not yet seen any bother from FCUM fans at Curzon games.

On sat I'll probs stand in in among 500 odd of them as I like standing on terrace they usually over run

Not harsh at all. Completely true actually. Last season our 433 worked when ZFA and Gnahoua we're down our left side but we've not properly replaced them. Sonupe is a great player on the right but Bradley isn't a winger.

A system change is needed but isn't happening. And if it doesn't happen we're gonna be sat in mid table for the rest of the season.

If Eustace goes we need to do everything to get Bignot in. He's previously said he'd love to manage us so he'd be perfect.

We had the exact problem with Bradley. Very good player but the manager never really knew where to play him. Personally for us I thought he was better on the flank of the 3. Where does he play for you?

Lm but we never get the ball to him. But I think its more a situation of the whole team not being set up right leaving him isolated. If Eustace puts him in the middle he'll shine like he did against Alfreton but that remains to be seen.

That Telford Vs Blyth game looked bloody ridiculous. Telford should have scored about 14 and Blyth should have scored 14.......ridiculous amount of chances.

Away at Leamington tonight. Looking forward to ticking off another new ground and a first ever visit to Stratford too.

On the pitch we really need to be picking up 3 points. No excuses otherwise this horrendous away record is going to et worse and worse.. We will need to up our game from Saturday though and stop shipping cheap goals

Grabbed an early goal from corner, now sounding like we are creating a few chances......wish we'd attack more we look more comfortable doing so.

Getting sick of this. Curzon and Boston were both poor, really poor and we were better but not great. Last season we'd have got 6 points comfortably and probably scored a hatful. Fans are turning very quick on Eustace who in his first proper summer recruited awfully with awful preparation and we're paying for that.

That's as bad as I've ever seen us play, and I've seen some crap over the years. We've got away with sluggish starts to matches this season, tonight we didn't. A deserved battering.

Can't sugarcoat it, your lot were dreadful, pretty much from the beginning. Even before you had the red card (which was maybe a bit harsh, Oswell stumbled but it was silly of your man to clatter into the back of him) I couldn't believe how much space we were being given.

In fairness, we set out a midfield diamond with Stephenson ahead of Winter & Walker and Ball behind, and we kept it central so that helped overload things in the middle. After the red we just did all the right things you do when you have an advantage, and kept up a high tempo, and importantly took our chances.

I'll be honest and say I'm disappointed that we made changes after an hour and didn't push for even more. Halstead was in goal during the nadir of my time following County, the 7-0 battering at Grimsby, and the vindictive part of me wanted a seventh to make up for that (even though he wasn't really at fault for most of it)

No-one would've predicted anything like this result after Saturday, although looking around the division the same is true of other results. This division is a bit daft at the moment

Also, just to add, Jimmy Ball should've been MOTM tonight, as well as last Saturday. Come on in leaps and bounds this season, after being the designated boo boy.

Sam Walker was probably second place, glad to see what he can do when he gets a more central role rather than being stuck out wide like Jim kept doing before. Even Winter, who was woeful against BPA, looked much better.

Fucking roadworks didn't get back till 1ish from Chorley. What a night our team are absolutely fucking garbage.I can safely say we won't make the playoffs this season going of tonight's performance.

If it wasn't for our keeper Bartlett who pulled of one of the greatest saves I've ever seen, we should have got beat about 8-1.
Chorley we're pure class at times, especially the no 7 (possibly haughton) who tore us apart. I even applauded him of the pitch when he came off.

I'm not sure where we can go from here, that was fucking dreadful to watch tonight from Darlo's point of view. Well done Chorley!!

Leamington 2-3 Alfreton

We got the three points in the end but boy did we make hard work of it. Below par first half performance where we were extremely fortunate to be level at half time. Yet again for the umpteenth time we gave away poor goals to the opposition.

It was the unusual source of the Goalkeeper, Tony Breeden, who put Leamington ahead from the spot on 12 minutes. A good run from Adam Smith 8 minutes later allowed to draw level as he fed Westcarr who smashed home in of the bar. Both sides squandered chances before we conceded our 5th goal from a corner in our last 3 away games as Stefan Moore fired in. We managed to scramble home a leveller just before half time via Luke Shiels after a melee in the box. We grew in to the game in the second half as the hots began to tire and with just minutes remaining Tom Platt lashed home after a Daniels corner had been half cleared to send the away fans delirious.

Its our first away win since February 4th at Gainsbrough, 11 matches ago and our first away win since Nicky Law left!

Must say it was an absolute pleasure to visit Leamington too. A great town and a lovely, welcoming club. Hope they stay up and I cannot wait to go back!

Took in the delights of the Spennymoor - York game last night. Thoroughly entertaining game for a semi-neutral. I left the game devastated that Spenny lost in the end. First half was fairly even, although York showed more promise and controlled the game. Two hand balls from Joe Tait and two well dispatched penalties from Jon Parkin made it 2-0, then a lapse in concentration from Tait lead to Louis Almond slotting home nicely. 3-0 to York at half time. Thought that would be curtains for Spenny, especially as they were now playing up the bank. The pitch is genuinely about 10 ft lower at one end to the other, couldn't believe it.

Anyway, second half was an absolute onslaught from start to finish from Spenny. York didn't get out of their own half. Spenny had about 5 or 6 clear cut chances, and they should've been walking out of the game with a comfortable win. Tait made up for his mistakes by slotting home yet another penalty that was awarded for hand ball. A nicely worked goal for the Spenny sub (not sure on name) to make it 3-2 with about 10 mins to play made it an exciting finish. Spenny could've had another 3 in the 10 mins, but after throwing everyone forward in the last minute the ball fell to a York player in the centre circle and with the keeper out of his box he slotted the ball away to make it 4-2, much to the pleasure of the travelling, very disgruntled York fans. "Well that will paper over the cracks" they said on the way out.

Based on that one game, of the two teams I would expect Spenny to be up challenging at the top end, and York to be well below them. Some very nice football from Spenny, better than most of the turd I have watched Hartlepool serve up so far this season. Number 8 (Ramshaw??) and the right back (Griffiths??) the standout players for me. Very good. Almond the best of the bunch for York when he was involved, although he was fairly quiet.

We talked about this big promotion battle, but I think the relegation battle could be even grittier.

No one seems to be dropping off cliff like last season, although I think table is showing the battle line drawn already. Certainly looking like 3 from Curzon, Nuneaton, Gainsborough, FCUM, Leamington and NFU.

But all seem able to compete, none will drift miles off the pack and gonna be a scrap.

Massive weekend for us with home games to FCUM and Leamington

Lost Brown, Hunter and Galbraith from our defence to injury, and replacements coming back from injury don't look ready yet. Ferguson, our best attacking player early on, has dropped back to full back, which is a waste. Our reliance on Beck also seems to have been worked out and countered.

We are fucking awful at the minute.

That's an understatement at the moment, tuesday nights match at Chorley was absolutely torture to watch.
Must have been one of the worst I've seen in years, totally outclassed from start to finish.
Oh! Sorry we had 5 minutes of pressure when Saunders scored.

Same home games as us, the latter game we play on Saturday. If we drop points against these two (no offence to FCUM and Leamington) we are in serious trouble.
