Poor Brad he's been giving his money tree a really good shake, he's a had a good look down the well and that looks dry, what next? Obviously if that's the case over a million that is some investment. Which surely that can't go on forever?

The club surely must be running at a loss, they've got a canny few high earners at the club.
I think they've gone as far as they can go, pyramid wise. Whether they'll get the investment that is required is another matter.

I think they need another 250 seats by March 31st next year. No doubt money in the bank Groves will get that sorted out one way or another.

Looking forward to travelling to Nuneaton tomorrow, especially after last weeks performance against Stockport which I thought we were unfortunate not to take all three points that afternoon. And the lads should really be buzzing and up for it.

I'd have to say we should be looking into getting back to winning ways tomorrow against Nuneaton. As they seem to be struggling at the moment - 5th from bottom and 25 goals conceded.
I'll be very disappointed if we came away with nothing from tomorrow's game. If we want to get in the mix of the playoffs we've gotta win tomorrow, especially with a few teams having two games in hand on us after Saturday's game.

Leamington 0-1 York and Nuneaton 1-0 Darlington are scores so far.

Looks like we have ridden out a barrage of pressure early on, Spenny had 3-4 good chances, had ball in net once, but disallowed......shall hope we have ridden storm and creep back into it.

blast Spenny 2-0 Curzon and live text reads like we've been pummeled really so cannot complain.

Only good thing is after today we've pretty much played all of the top half of the table (apart from York) and have some games we can realistically win coming up........big big games for us them ones.

oooh we have a chance now in our game having been outclassed first half.

get a pen early in second half, they go down to 10 men and while miss the pen we hit in rebound so now spenny 2-1 Curzon and them down to 10......good chance of nicking something from a game we've been second best in.

Get in 2-2.

They have another goal rules out for offside before we have a stack of pressure, 2-3 good chances and Cummins grabs a second.

We may nick this one considering they are much better than us it will be a real bonus.

Another Curzon pen........3-2 Curzon!!

Ok how much have these officials been paid today.......2 spenny goals disallowed, 2 Curzon pens and Spenny red card.....ah well maybe Spenny should have paid the ref than players.

oh its also Nuneaton 2-0 Darlo, Leamington 0-2 York and Stockport 1-1 Blyth.......think Stockport really need a winner in that one.

Spennymoor 2-4 Curzon and i think that should now be our first away win bar something else dramatic.

LEamington score to make it Leamington 1-2 York with about 5 mins to go.

Blyth score 2 goals in injury time to win 3-1, that must be putting Gannon in serious danger of the sack.

Results:

Leamington 2-2 York
Nuneaton 2-1 Darlington
Spennymoor 2-4 Curzon
Stockport 1-3 Blyth

That was one massive result for us. On 20 points now and above the likes of Stockport, Darlington, Kidderminster.

Two important games coming up Vs Boston and Gainsborough, if we win both of them (possible) could well be up into that top 7 which would be amazing considering we lost 5 of our starting 11 in the summer, our goalie, captain, most creative player and a 15 goal striker, with limited resources to replace and using cast-offs, lower league players or youth to plug them gaps.

Still looking at that 38 point mark to clinch i think safety then can see where we go.

So much for the lads been up for it? Fucking hell we should have been dead and buried by halftime.
It's a good job we weren't playing anybody decent, coz otherwise we'd have got absolutely hammered.
I did think after last weeks performance we would pick up a decent result today, in a funny sort of way we probably should have done with the amount of possession we had in the second half.

But once again certain individuals were absolutely shocking in the 20 minute onslaught of the first half.
Galbraith the main culprit, how on earth he gets a game week in and week out god only knows. He's fucking dreadful full stop. Scott was just as bad. After we weathered the storm a little bit we gradually settled down, but once again Bartlett kept us in the game and thankfully we managed to go in at halftime just 1-0 down. Second half starts and then we give another soft goal away.

Bartlett easily man of the match followed by Saunders, but i think I'll be saying that every week from now on with Bartlett, Gillies wasn't too bad without getting too excited, Collins and Marrs did the best they could with a shocking defense.
Turnbull looked tired running the show on his own, Wheatley had a good game when he came on along with Syers. I noticed Paulo Mendes warming up with the lads, again wasn't named in the squad.

Quick word with Adam Dawson he said he's going back to Tranmere, he never came of the bench today.
Also I said to Tommy Wright - Well is it a 'yes or no then' he just laughed. And said not another one asking.
Great turnout from the Darlo fans, considering the shite we have to watch.

Well done that's a fantastic result down at Spendymoor! Safety have you looked at the league table, you've got a really good shout at finishing in the top seven with results like that. At least the two games more that you've played have both been good solid wins. Not like us we could be in trouble?

I think you'll be fine, NFU and Gainsborough i think are certs and while the 3rd relegation spot is open ground, I think teams like Boston and FCUM have more to worry about. Still think your just an odd player or two off a good side, maybe players returning from injury or new signings, but either way it should get better. Think your main problem at moment might just be your team/club at the moment after 3-4 positive seasons hasn't seen a set-back yet so needs to adapt to it, a new manager should install back some confidence.

We were fortunate yesterday and had one of them days decisions went for us, they had 2 goals disallowed, got 2 pens and they had a man sent off, but i've developed little sympathy having read a small portion of their fans who have seemed to belittle Curzon over twitter who suddenly have decided they are now set on some higher pedestal than many other Conf North sides, even though they were the same size club as Curzon but got bankrolled up here...we're a poor, hoofball tinpot club.......I think B2TF will have much fun with Spennymoor fans if they go up.

Blyth is the very interesting club at present, they have massive momentum to them, 8 wins out of the last 11 and looked for me much better than Salford and Harrogate.....not sure if they can plug the gap between them and top, but be interesting to see.

That was awful. We have good players capable of playing good football for small periods. But their mental strength is shocking. As soon as something goes wrong they fold like a pack of cards.

I assume Gannon doesn't have many games to turn it around. I've no desire for him to leave. Not because he's doing an especially great job, but because whoever else we appoint won't do any better so it just seems pointless.

I hope you turn it around for two reasons. Firstly i do think your fanbase deserves to get out of this level, you've stuck through it when its been crap for so long........secondly as i 100% know who you'll want next and it's bound to be our manager which i think will put us in serious crap.....plus i don't think its the right appointment for your lot either.

Flanagan remines me very much of Coleman at accrington......simply suits the small fish in a big pond, a club that lets him control everything and has limited demands and one where he's been at a long time and has it all built around him.......he won't get any of that at Stockport and would doubt it would work.

I think Stockport just need some sort've scrapper who will get them out of this division kicking and screaming, much like Halifax did last year, but just unsure who they can get who would do that as i don't know this level enough.....this level's sort've Martin Allen.

Blyth remind me of Fylde, don't worry about defending just outscore your opponents. Hence some of their high scoring games.

I don't have a clue who we'd appoint next. Our problem is that if we want someone who has managed a club our size before it will have to be someone who has failed already at a higher level and is willing to drop down. Or we go for someone who has a good record at our level or lower, but at a much smaller club (ie. Flanagan). Some people are suggesting Alun Armstrong, but I don't want to see him ruin his reputation as a manager and ex-player by taking the poisoned chalice.

The funny thing is that Spennymoor fans are all convinced that they are a well ran club, ran within it's means, and Groves puts next to nothing in.

The amount of players we've lost out on because they can easily outpay us...

Armstrong is rumoured to be the next Darlo manager.

That's far more likely as I don't see him moving from the North East for a part-time job. Regardless he's only been in charge of a handful of games at this level so he's not exactly proven yet.

Just been reading County's yellow board and I couldn't believe there was a thread on there with posters seriously believing that Gannon is doing shit for them, because he's actually far too good for this level!! :brill:

Now rumoured that the Armstrong move has fallen through over terms, and he's staying at Blyth.
