Actually spent the day Harrogate, it's lovely place did some Christmas shopping. Also, Harrogate is a great club, friendly people and staff. Really enjoyed the day. Even better when there's a decent game at the end of it.

You've got a decent setup, parking being one of the only issues but you've got some good foundations to work with.

Our plans are still with the council as far as I'm aware. Our chairman has said we'll hear when they hear.

Glad you enjoyed the trip up and our welcome. Was exciting at the end and always a nice feeling to grab a point or three at the death as an away fan.

Sounds like Aggborough could be for the chop then. Ridiculous given where the new site has been proposed. Tidy earner for your chairman.

So....Ben Clapison who we signed 6 days ago has left already after 1 game and has signed for North Ferriby :ffs:

Edit - Asked the man himself on twitter and he has confirmed it only meant to be one game. Hmmm. We are a total shambles.

Chorley fans, how's the weather up north? Any chance the game tomorrow will be off?

It's cold in Chorley as you would expect, no snow here, the covers are on the pitch and will be removed tomorrow morning, so I would think it is likely the game will go ahead as scheduled, looking forward to it.
Hope you all have a safe trip up the M6.

Away at Blyth tomorrow. Already prebooked a weekend up here in Whitley Bay. Otherwise I wouldnt have bothered travelling. Absolutely freezing up here. Although strangely there is more snow back home than up here. Still would be very surprised if the game is on.

Absolutely freezing up here in this neck of the woods, precautionary pitch inspection at 9:30am on Saturday morning ahead of our home game against the champions (or is it too early for that talk) Salford.

Although, I don't think the game will be in any doubt. Well I hope not I don't want to be playing Salford later in the season, need to get this match out of the way - I'd take a draw right now. Come on Darlo................

Entertaining match at Edgeley Park, absurdly so at times.

County were absolutely rubbish for the first half hour, the ref gave Spennymoor a generous pen (I don't think the lad was going to get to the ball, it was going away from goal, don't think O'Halloran even made contact... but tbf if you leave your foot out like he did, you're asking for trouble). But then we equalised through an even dodgier looking penalty ourselves, everyone I've spoken to thought it looked like the defender cleared the ball for a corner.

Second half, we were much better & (mostly) more than a match for the visitors. Oswell gets his second of the game to put us in front, off the post after a smart turn, only for us to completely fall asleep defensively, letting them score with a free header in a crowded box. Then Oswell gets a third with a nice header. Obviously, having completed his hat-trick, that's the MOTM award sewn up... but the sponsors decide to give it to Steven O'Halloran, who had, in the kindest possible terms, a forgettable game. I've heard the crowd cheer a MOTM award, I've heard them do a collective shrug, but I've never heard them burst out laughing before

Just noticed we ain't had a home game for a month now and only two in over 2 months!! we must be having to rely on our 3G pitch to keep the resources going at present.

Southport have signed Billy Priestley from Alfreton.
Absolute Joke.

John McDermott is doing a damn good job of destroying the football club.

Billy Priestley was probably the only outfield player putting effort in. Had built a formidable partnership with Luke Shiels which was the reason for our decent start to the season before he got injured which has dogged him and he has been unable to recover. Another reason behind our horrific recent performances in that we havent been able to get Priestley and Shiels as a partnership.

So you have spent £15k on an injured player. But once he is fit he will be an excellent acquisition. He went the whole of last season without any injuries so is not that injury prone. The fact we have sold to a relegation ribal is another farce. John just has not got a clue.

He has sprouted another load of bollocks today. Contridicting himself and he apparently tires to make out that Shiels and Allan are first choice?! He is delirious, .

Seriously disillusioned with the club at the moment. Big test of just how much shit we are in v Boston. Lose that and we are going down for me

Its a Total circus . We have wasted so much more on shte it wouldnt surprise me. John simply has not got the first clue full stop but certainly not in the transfer market.

We are simply crashing through the floor at the moment. Change needs to be made otherwise we will be relegated. Fact.

I make that 3 crucial goals this season now from Brad McGowan that have gained Boston 2 wins and a draw - that defender that John forced out as soon as he came through the door. :hb::bang:

DarkSithLord how is Bradley Wood for Alfreton? He's managed to cock up my FM save by saying he's too big for the club, and turned the dressing room against me. Even Craig Westcarr wants out ffs...

 Unfortunately thats a very accurate representation of Wood and to a lesser extent Westcarr in real life!

Neither give a shite unfortunately. Wood has committed a few misdemeanors off the pitch and Westcarr is lazy and helped to get our previous manger out the door as they didnt see eye to eye.

Latest through the revovling door at Alfreton is Noel Burdett. A 20 year old striker who was released by Scunthorpe this week. Had loan spells at Harrogate (surprise, surprise) Gainsborough and Frickley while at Scunthorpe. Scunny fans seem to rate him. Hope their right!!

Very big game for us tonight at NFU........attempt number 3.

With the way this relegation battle is going every single blooming point needs scrapped for and with how poor North Ferriby are this season we really have to look at this for 3 points.

On flip side our away form is bloody horrific so that gives NFU a rare chance to grab a much needed win.

Won 1-0, a vital win. seems like we had to cling on 2nd half, NFU seem to have improved with their new signings but maybe got them a good time while it all gels together

another 3 points closer to safety and can now go into the huge match saturday with less pressure.

Saturday we make the shortest trip of them all. Away to FC Curzon of Ashton. Last season's away game was a cracker. Curzon scored with about 15 mins to go and I recall Connor Hampson goading the County fans. But 2 goals in the last 10 mins with the winner coming in stoppage time turned the tables and didn't Mr Hampson look a fool. Shortly afterwards.....we signed him!! Haha!

Anyway, our form has been very up and down this season so it's a difficult one to judge. But a home win against high flyers Sp£ndymoor and then an away win in a tough fixture in the FA Trophy against Lancaster City will give us a boost in confidence. Oh.......and we have Jason Oswell!

I'm always impressed with the way Curzon play and it's a massive credit to John Flanagan and the players for how well they are doing once again in a tough division.

In theory, we should be the fresher team with Curzon having to travel to NFU this week. So I can see us sneaking this one narrowly. I'll go for a 2-1 or 3-2 County win.

and i am sure fans of both Stockport and Curzon agree it should be our Boxing day game and is bloody ridiculous we're at BPA and they are at Alfreton instead........probs cost us 500-1000 fans.

oh well should still be our biggest home gate of season i'd hope, worst time of year for it being just before christmas but i'd think by now a few people want ANYTHING but shopping this weekend. i dont think us playing last night will hurt us as i'd expect our players will get extra energy for this one, but us winning midweek helps ease pressure on it being a must win....can now just try our hardest and hope for the best.

Problem is we seem to always lose against stockport, i think team maybe tries too hard but they are the bigger club Curzon seem unable to beat.....although maybe law of average suggests we due something.
