Dunno which games. Our local rag is saying Gray included him in the squad during pre-season.

Gray might have included him, but he didn't play mate. Gray snapped him up with him making some impressive appearances in the Wearside League.

Massive game for us today. Nothing but a win will really do for Harrogate if they want to keep up with Salford (no offense to DSL I just can't see Alfreton getting anything) and we need a win if we want to close the gap on those 2nd and 3rd spots.

Nowt to lose game for us today, we won the game that mattered midweek, today can just have a go and hope for best, we should lose, but I expect we will make York work much harder for it than Salford did last week.

That will be York managers main aim today, to convince his players today away at a club with 200 fans is every bit as important than playing top...........easier said than done.

Segregated due to problems when playing Stockport, getting into home end tougher than Tower of London. May be able to say hello tang behind fence......say if there today and will tell you where to head

Hmm sudden pitch inspection at 12. Curzon will be very unpopular if this is suddenly off, that is quite unprofessionally done.

Mind it’s a bunch of pansies these days, won’t be that bad

Were there problems at our game? If anything the problems were caused by segregation - not enough toilets, not enough turnstiles, bar running out, etc. However that's a pretty standard experience for us at this level.

some away fans ended up in the home end (as no real segregation) and i was told was a fight.

Mind i would say that was probs caused by stroppy home fans moaning they should not be in our end.

Today..................not kidding, due to fights in home end you HAVE to show a season ticket, supporters membership or a special token club gave out this week to be allowed in home end...............even if you are a regular and the turnstyle operators know your face

1-0 Curzon

Completely opened up York who were asleep all over place in defence and left 3 men at least totally unmarked.

Though goal scorer maybe offside but York deserve to concede for their total lack of basic defending

2-0 Curzon And it’s still an unfair score line.........should be 4 or 5-0.

York have arrived in total arrogance with zero effort vs the hardest grafting side in conf north and it’s costing them big time so far.

As I’m sure the Stockport fans will testify arrogance will keep you down here a long time.

Just gone 3-0

Curzon 3-0 York

It should be 8-0 have not seen a defence and midfield as poor in a long time.

Expect a very hard second half but least we have a strong lead to dig onto

Not true, I wandered up at 14:55 and paid to get in the Curzon end without anyone batting and eyelid!

Great result for you boys today. York were just hopeless!

We kept getting told on our facebook page that was going to happen so they clearly slacked off........they cannot complain if incidents happen in home end if they slack off on precautions to stop it.

We played superb, McKenna and Dunwoody have added masses to our team. I'll give Flanagan credit for that, while all the others at bottom panic buy after panic buy and change 4-6 players here and they he stuck with most of them through 1 win in 14 games while finding the correct 2-3 players to just improve what we had and its worked a treat.

York lost through sheer arrogance in my view, very little else, I seen it with Carlisle when in the conference, i am sure you have seen it at Stockport down here.......they turned up today, strolled around marking nobody, no running, no effort, no energy...............we just for most of the first half had numerous players unmarked all over pitch.

Was shocked at their awful approach because they have a manager who knows full well how we play and would know they have to work hard, plus he must have been used to having to scrap previously when Darlo were in lower leagues.

Well Chorley finely got a win, and a goal! Have to say, very poor first half, much improved second, especially with the introduction of Matty Hughes for Molyneux who was poor, though not sure what role he was supposed to be playing. Newby looked excellent and is a good signing. Gainsboro were very poor, not a shot on target all game, they are going down with the Ferriby. On now to Nuneaton but we still find it hard to score though one week some team will cop a hiding when all the chances created go in!

Alfreton 2-3 Salford

Well we lost as expected. Gave it a decent go. Had Salford under some pressure at times but I do think the 3-2 scoreline flatters us a bit.

Todays referee should have worn a Salford shirt today. Bottled a clear red card for Scott Burton on the stroke of half time . Salfords second was clearly offside too.
Salford were the better side no doubt about it but disappointed by the nature of the goals we gave away.

Think we have enough to stay up. But we struggled to create anything of any note in open play again and looked limited and our long ball tactics make us extremely predictable.

Nuneatons and Leamingtons wins werent ideal but I was very thankful for Tamworth`s last minute equalizer v Telford. Keeps us 5 points above the drop zone.

On to Tuesday. Another free hit.

Wasn't it Burton's first game back from about 7 games out?

I mean.... It was a win, not much else. Newby looks very good. Wilson played well again. Carver touched it about 5 times all game. Not much else.

Well done Curzon, deserved that and as stated could have been five or six up at half time. We didn't show up at all. Really frustrating after beating Salford last week. Might be the worst performance in our entire history...got beat at Guiseley 6-1 last season but...

Was Parkin's red a straight red? Cos I hope that means he'll miss our game against you as he always scores against us.

Our game today we weren't good enough. We both had the same amount of chances but Harrogate take there's, they look like a title-winning team to me.

Shoutout to another shocking refereeing and lino performance lost control of the game after about 10 minutes and never regained control. Lino somehow deemed Ironside to be offside after Weeks free-kick cannoned off the bar. I'm fairly confident he was stood onside as the free kick was taken but the Lino disagreed. Also, think their number 2 should've gone for 2 yellows the first one which she gave was fair but after diving in the area and taking Waring out as he ran down the line I dunno how he didn't get a second yellow.

Credit where credit due we’ll done Curzon it could of been 8 at half time.
York deserved nothing totally didn’t turn up.You won match in first minute, your number 6 tackle on Patterson was appalling and should of been a straight red,you scored with him still hobbling and then had to be withdrawn.not complaining it’s non league football and this happens.
It the fact that the bottling bastards never went anywhere near him in first half.
For pro players to bottle it is a disgrace , only good thing to come out of today is that our manager ripped into them and have new respect for him.

We are a dirty side this season, but they do it smartly and think only one red all season.

It was all on attitude, the positive hope you can take us maybe it is a warning to you not to take any game as ‘easy’ going forward which could end up vital later on..........you may look on today in the end as a positive

I'm not all that bothered with this result i didn't expect anything from this match, I didn't realize Styche was out until i got to the ground. We had far too many players missing from our previous games to match Brackley, but i suppose we did in various stages of the game, I thought their defender was fortunate to stay on the pitch with him hauling down our 7st striker Saunders, especially with him being last man.

I thought the scoreline didn't do us any justice 3-0 flattered the home side, Brackley were pretty decent but not brilliant, another couple of soft goals on our behalf. They were well organised as a team, and their third goal was an absolute beauty from Armson, but we just couldn't muster anything worthwhile getting excited about. I suppose the pitch won't have helped, looked very heavy in parts.
Other than another fuckin missed penalty from Galbraith, absolutely nailed on to miss that penalty, surely somebody else could have took on the responsibility of taking that spot kick.

We had plenty of possession without really troubling their keeper, he had an easy afternoon with our toothless forward line, and Gillies what a lazy man he is i hope he leaves in the summer. Oh well back to the drawing board for the visit of Kidderminster on Saturday.

Well done Brackley great away day, and great fans to have a good craic with. Great place The Locomotive Inn for a pint, and a big thumbs up for getting us another bottle of sambuca :sl:
