Wealdstone 2-1 Concord Rangers (Att: 752)

Deserved win however we did make hard work of it in the last 10 minutes. First half hour we absolutely blew Concord away and should have been 2 or 3 up (Ricky Wellard's got miss of the season wrapped up as you'll all see tomorrow) before Elliot Benyon scored a scrappy goal. Concord scored from a corner at the start of the 2nd half and a mishit from Dan Fitchett won the game 10 minutes after that.

Didn't like the timewasting in the corner so early on but I'll take the 3 points.

Bath City add trio

Bath City manager Gary Owers has added three more players to his squad.

Connor Lemonheigh-Evans returns to Twerton Park on a two-month loan deal from Bristol City.
Having played three times for the club last season.

Goalkeeper Luke Southwood has signed a six-month loan deal from Reading, having featured in City's final two pre-season matches.

And winger Jack Compton has also signed for the club. Released by Newport County at the end of last season, Compton had been on trial with Yeovil this summer.

Pompey pair join Poole on loan

Jez Bedford and Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain have signed for one month on loan from Portsmouth to bolster the Poole Town squad.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, 19, and the brother of Arsenal and England's Alex, has yet to appear for Pompey first-team, but has had plenty of loan spells at various clubs.

Poor display at Chelmsford, we had a lot of the ball and failed to do much with it. Surprising line-up too with Cundy not even playing and Kotwica, our second top goalscorer last season, put on the bench for Ethan Moore who has been crocked for 9 months. And didn't look remotely interested in the game. Truro tonight at Evesham, need to get a result...

I am guessing you weren't great against Truro, who were one of the relegation favourites, and are now surprising, if temporary, leaders.

We were dreadful to say the least. This keeper we have from Hereford looks frigging awful so far. Not quite sure how he didn't stop the first goal as it was hit right at him. The 2nd goal he was in no mans land. When it's thirty minutes into a game and the small band of away fans are already ironically cheering when your keeper actually catches the ball that might be a cause for concern...

Meanwhile we produced very little. We got given a penalty for what I thought was a pretty harsh decision, the Truro lad having no chance of getting out the way of the ball. But anyway, pen given. Ethan Moore steps up with all of the confidence of a teenage virgin being told to give a 40 year old porn star the time of her life. His tame effort is hit pretty much straight to the keeper and chance fluffed. This lad was out injured all of last season and our fans paid for his operation. It would be nice then to see him break into a sweat once in a while...

Darren Mullings continues to play in this new Beckham like quarter back role, sweeping up at the back and picking out players with precision long balls and switching play.

Only he doesn't. His long balls go straight out of play and the majority of the time he dithers on the ball and gets into trouble. And hey presto he does precisely that for their third. Game well and truly over. Team selection and tactics totally wrong, again.

Early days maybe and we do have 3 out injured but 3 or 4 players do not look anywhere near good enough right now. It was a 45 minute drive for me each way and I won't be rushing to do that again in a hurry with that kind of performance. Truro were well organised in defence with some tall lads back there, shame all we resorted to was lumping it in the air at them. Absolute crap.

Oh dear. Whats gone wrong. You were excellent last season? Whats happened to Kotwica and Joe Hanks etc?

Both of them had poor games by their standards last night but the difference is we had Hopper peeling off the last man or getting across a defence last season, giving them an option. So far this season we've had Ethan Moore just stood there like a Top Shop mannequin. Why he took the penalty when Hanks scored every one I think last season God only knows.

I notice Cundy isn't playing, was expecting him to go straight into your first team. He's match fit as he played plenty of pre-season games and looked sharp.

St. Albans City 2-1 Wealdstone (Att: 654)

Fucked off. Immensely fucked off as it's 3 points dropped.

Absolutely dominated the first half without much effort on goal, Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick hitting the crossbar before a Danny Green free kick found Josh Hill at the far post to dive in and deservedly put us 1-0 up.

Saints equalised with their first shot on target just before half-time, a through ball allowing Sam Merson to slot below Jonathan North. But the second half is where I'm frustrated...

Handball on the line is given and we're awarded a penalty whilst Tom Bender is sent off for the Saints. Elliot Benyon though misses the penalty and not long after Zane Banton skins past 3 of our players before beating North at our near post.

2 shots on target, two goals - sorry Northy but questions need to be asked there. Decent turnout of Stones supporters tonight who will be hoping for a more positive result at Gloucester on Saturday.

Your defence sounds awful going by that!

Just one of those evenings, absolutely criminal how Josh Hill let Zane Banton go past him so easily. As for Northy Look Out There Are Llamas, he'll pull off an absolute blinder sometime soon to shut people up.

He's so institutionalised having been with us 7 years and counting I sometimes wonder if he's immune from criticism.

Ah well, tonight happened, put it right at Gloucester on Saturday.

Seagulls snap up Exeter youngster

Making his Weston-Super-Mare debut in the first Seagulls away fixture of the season at Hungerford, the latest loan signing by the club, 17-year-old Archie Collins, has joined the Seagulls from Exeter for an initial period of two months.

Better today and a deserved point after totally dominating the second half but no good when you have a clown between the sticks. I guess Hereford pissing the league meant he didn't have to do much last season. If we had Jas Singh still we'd be sat on four points now.

Our brand new team all recruited from the lower leagues are playing some great footie with club legend Brad Quinton as manager. If we keep playing like we have l am optimistic for this season unlike last years rubbish.

Gloucester City 2-2 Wealdstone (Att: 403)

That was rather shambolic from us. Midfield completely outmuscled and no discernible pattern of play, in fact it was frustrating how many times the ball was being kicked out of play preventing any flow to the game.

We'd have lost if Alex Harris hadn't blundered in Gloucester's goal for the first (still have no idea why he came off his line). Total malaise from the supporters yesterday where I think there was one chant in the first half and that was it.

Wealdstone 0-1 Havant and Waterlooville (Att: 922)

Consider knives sharpened and out, already plenty of clamours on Stonesnet for the board to act in the coaching department (which looks rather tinpot from the outside, 3 people giving orders and not being followed - no accountability for any one party). Havant scored from a free header from a set piece which we did against Concord and Gloucester so lessons are not being learnt and who's responsibility that is I don't know.

We huffed and puffed second half but apart from a Dan Fitchett header, Ryan Young in the Havant goal didn't have a meaningful save to make. Decent crowd on a Monday night and we do that - classic Wealdstone.

WSM 2 City 1. We bossed the opening 20-30 minutes and should have been out of sight. But as the half hour came we sat back further and further and Weston got a easy equaliser.

Second half though and we were totally inept, I'm not exaggerating we were woeful. We didn't even have a shot on goal. Weston's 2nd was a fluke, free kick deflected into the corner but they deserved it. Real problems already for us, 2-3 players way out of form and the same amount who clearly aren't good enough anymore.

4 games in and no forward has scored and Joe Hanks has missed the last two games due to work. Hmm.

We are great going forward, but we need to tighten up our defence. Scored 10 goals in 4 matches but conceded 9 mostly from defensive errors. Get the defence sorted out and we have a chance.

Welling United will play Hungerford Town at Park View Road tomorrow with three new signings in their squad.

Ahead of the game, the Wings have brought in 26-year-old forward Lloyd Macklin, midfielder Jack Jebb and winger Jeffrey Monakana.

Macklin joins from Bostik League Premier side Metropolitan Police and is a strong forward with pace who can play as a striker or winger.
Also joining is 21-year-old midfielder Jebb from National League outfit Sutton United.
The third new signing sees 23-year-old Monakana join on loan from Sutton.

Winger Adam Page has joined Gloucester City on loan from Sky Bet League Two neighbours Cheltenham Town until January.

Page is looking for fitness following a year out with a ruptured ACL.
He impressed on loan at Hereford FC, scoring 8 goals before the injury, and that persuaded Robin's manager Gary Johnson to offer him a one-year-deal for the 2017/18 season.
