We are due a new one I think and this year's has been reduced in the club shop so expecting one at some point, both home and away. Think we are still with Errea who have done a decent job to be fair, although stock availability hasn't been great but that's down to Andreas Carter Sports who seem to be the distributor or something. Hangover from the non league. Think I read somewhere that the main sponsor deal has run out for Bishop Grosseteste University so interesting to see who we get. I imagine now we are back in the league and with recent success we will feel we can get a better financial deal.

We're sticking with Errea, which is no surprise, apparently there are no other manufacturers who are prepared to do our kits, or at least that's how it feels.

We're allegedly having a tribute kit as it will be 20 years since our first promotion to the Football League, so expect something similar to this

I'm interested to see what clubs with that Errea collar pattern think of it, we had that this year and hated it to begin with.

Also quite interesting that we seem to have the Errea design for a season and it gets copied the next by their other partners. Lincoln especially seemed to have our 15/16 design for a couple of years.

We’ve had bespoke designs almost every season with Errea. The England 80s style last season was popular.

Which colar though as we’ve had a few different ones!

The Grimsby/Shrewsbury one for the coming season, or our one for 17/18 is the collar I mean. A strange one that I hated at first but I just about tolerate it now.

In our 21 years with Errea we've had a mixed bag of bespoke kits (see our current home one) and template kits. We have had every kind of collar going, from the far too open, to the barely get it over your head catastrophe.

We've had ruined in the first wash to the still look brand new now kits.

I can't complain in fairness, as Errea by and large have done us a great service, some of our kits, our 11/12 125th anniversary kit for example, have been absolutely gorgeous, as was our 14-16 home kit. In terms of away kits some of the yellow and navy ones have been fantastic, as have the Inter Milan style kits. They've also had some shockers mind, our 08-10 home kit for example.

I just think it would be nice to own something a bit different than an Errea kit.

How do kit suppliers actually work?

Who reaches out to who for a kit deal?

You often see a lot of clubs change to the same supplier at the same time, e.g. Cabrini, Avec, Macron, Errea etc... seem to rise and fall in terms of popularity.

Some clubs get completely random suppliers, Bury have gone from Surridge to New Balance, then Kappa..

Accrington went from an unknown supplier in Samurai to Adidas?

We've signed a deal with TAG Sportswear for next season. They are based up the road from where I work in Burton. Always struck me as a small outfit (pardon the pun) but they supply Albion as well. Must be cheap, that's what our board look for.

I think we are still staying with Joma, I like them, they have done a good job for us so far.

We have been with Umbro the past few seasons but we've signed a deal with Macron for this season.

I think - though don't quote me - it's to do with the distributor and not the actual manufacturer.

Our kits from the turn of the century were all distributed by Sports Italia or some such who basically distributed Errea kits in the UK. When they went balls up, or changed manufacturer, we stuck with Errea ourselves and formed our own agreement with them at source.

Ours apparently is a UK based firm that has never done an EFL club before, an insider on OVF suggests they supply a couple of non league sides but are mainly in other sports...

Well that’s a worrying sign... but also you’ll be their flagship team, so you might get a good bespoke kit.

Hope you have better luck with them than we did/do.

The kits looked nice but had a terrible fit to them, the main take away from us was the horrendous baggy collar on them, they were reminiscent of old PE kits from the early 90's, there's been loads of issues with their customer service as well, people were getting replacement shirts sent out to them that had clearly already been worn.

I think we're all hoping for a new supplier this season cos it's been a disaster.

Errea that we have used have had the issue that the sizes are done Italian style... so you had to order a size up from normal or it would be too small so will bear this in mind and try it on first!

Is the material quality any good? A Saracens follower Vale fan has suggested it should be if based on their Rugby gear!

I really liked that the Errea kits were a decent fit.

Hopefully we will have better luck with them.

Loved Errea so hoping these are decent.

Sounds as though its an asymmetrical home kit with a gold and black stripe on one side with a purple away kit.

I don't buy kits these days but it was the general consensus that they were of poor quality and had the fit of a black bin bag no matter what size you bought.

Same mate, we are taken for fools with teams changing both kits every season. Our new shirt is the same as 2 seasons ago apart from the designers pen leaking over the bottom

Only downside to Errera kits are the sizes. Mediums are more akin to an extra small.

Ours is/are due out mid-June.
