Jake Jervis is never the answer. In any circumstances.

And if he is the answer, I don’t want to know the question!
He did alright out on the right, what he is not so good at is leading the line on his own. He was good enough nine months ago for you to kindly give us a load on spondoolies. Thank you kindly.

Very disappointing to lose in the last kick of the game at home to Walsall.

Don't think either team really deserved to win/lose, but we did - which is why we're in a relegation battle this season

Happy to see the kids club to the right of us properly wicked off too, strange lot them.

That's where we put most of our nutters. They demand to be within shouting/gesticulating range of the away fans. There's something about the fact that some people support other teams that they just don't understand.

Never understood the whole bravado mentality anyway - Especially when you're being comfortably beaten at home by a relatively poor side!

Even though we lost that's the first game I've enjoyed in about a year(not exaggerating). I have no problem with a playing having a penalty saved it happens, but he should have tapped home the rebound it was a sitter. Should have got a point and were good value for it as it was a very even game, even if they did have a lot of possession.

Play like that all season and we'd win more than we lose, Barnsley were better(although we have improved since we played them) but they should go up.

Also a very good atmosphere in the ground, which Valley Parade always have when someone brings more than 10 fans.

From the Midland Road stand I was certain Cattermole's shot went wide so just stood there thinking what are the players doing!? Turns out it was a very smart finish from Maja. Come the 2nd half Bradford came at us and our full backs went missing, leaving half their team free at the back post to equalise. Nice for Jack Baldwin to get a goal as he's turned into a fan favourite and seems to be really enjoying playing football at the moment, there's also something extra satisfying about scoring during the opposition's rendition of "you're not singing anymore".

Then Max Power. Max Power, his 2nd red card of his career and coincidentally his 2nd in 4 games in a Sunderland shirt, what a knob. Should have scored earlier as well.

McLaughlin saved another pen and Tom Flanagan made a superb save on their dilly-dallying striker for the rebound, Chris Maguire went full shithouse after that, 7 minutes injury time and then a bit of handbags on the pitch and down to 10-a-side.

So all in all a very exciting game on a sun blessed Bradford and even the train from the interchange had a driver in it.

No game next Saturday so hopefully similar results to last weekend.

Very tough game in store tomorrow vs Luton. We're missing 3 key players in Kieffer Moore, Kenny Dougall and Adam Davies due to injury/international duty and haven't been as impressive at home as we have away this season. Hopefully be a good game and another 3 points to put us in touching distance of the top with a game in hand.

Jacob Brown should stand in ok for Moore, Walton is a good back-up keeper and if we can't find someone for Dougall in our stacked midfield squad then we may as well give in.

Also this game between the two massivest clubs in the league should have it's own thread.

Away to Oxford tomorrow, 24th vs 23rd. A win would be 7 points from 3 games and the real kickstart our season needed. A loss and it all looks very grim again.

Expecting us to get beat by Barnsley tomorrow. From what we have seen so far there is a significant difference between a top 6 side in this league and the rest and whilst we we have shown a lot of promise the last few weeks, not sure we are quite ready to go toe to toe with a club of Barnsleys level just yet, especially away from home. Right now id say we are probably top end of "the rest" at this level.

Id absolutely snap your hand off for a point but it should at least be a decent game given we do like to play. We are due a slightly off performance though so hoping we dont have another Peterborough type showing on the tele!

Would be good to see Hylton make a return to the bench at least, As for starting 11's there will be calls for James Justin to play, could see it happening in midfield as this does seem to be the sort of game we might vary our normally dogmatic approach for, and if we look to sit back and counter attack I think he is more suited to than some of the other players who might play there.

As usual FCH a cautious preview and assessment of our chances this season. I'd say 4 clubs are at a different level to the rest based on results, squad and current position and they are Portsmouth, Sunderland, Peterborough and Barnsley. We've played three of those and done reasonably well apart from a terrible first half at Posh. We shouldn't fear going to Barnsley especially as we have improved our overall game the past few weeks. That said I believe this game will be our toughest to date. I tipped Barnsley to win the league due to their championship quality squad. I still think we'll give it a go and come away with some credit but unfortunately with a narrow defeat. The fact Lee is a doubt and Hylton may only play a bit part means we will be lacking up front. Without that firepower we are unlikely to threaten the Barnsley goal as much as we would with a fit front three.
Of course in this game you never know what might happen and we are fully capable of turning in a decent performance and snatch something. Barnsley are also without key players which levels things up a bit. Will be a fascinating match and I hope we get a few more answers to our chances this season which I confidently feel will be around the play off spots. Would like to see Lua Lua play a role tomorrow after his very promising performance against the plastic ones.

Ive said all along that I think we are probably a top end of mid table type side, don't think I've seen anything to dissuade me from that view point really, we are good i think and there is no doubt that we are a good side to watch with how we like to play, but just feel we lack that extra bit of quality to make us a playoff calibre type side.

It still might click yet as the ingredients are there and we are improving as a side I think, with the last few games we have some decent momentum.

Brizzle tomorrow at home.
I am fed up of “we played well and got nothing “ statements from the players and management - so an ugly 2-0 win would do for me.
We need points. I genuinely feel we are better than our position but we keep throwing it away each week.

You absolutely shouldn't fear us or expect to be beaten tomorrow. I'd be a lot more confident if it was at Kenilworth Road as Coventry aside (which was down to the hoodoo of us not winning there since 1923) we've battered most sides away from home. Home games we failed to break down Wimbledon, could easily have lost to Plymouth if their striker could finish and haven't looked quite as sharp.

I wouldn't be all that disappointed with a draw tbh.

Saaafend at home tomorrow. We have a decent home record against this lot of late, which makes no difference whatsoever. Play like we did at Pompey last weekend and I fancy us, but I'll go for a draw and further dropped home points.

1-1.

Donny, at home.

Both teams to score. Dale to score more, hopefully.

I’d snap your hand off for a draw if I’m honest.

No game today for us due to it being postponed. My bets are on Barnsley and Pompey to win but in difficult circumstances and i reckon Peterborough’s game will have BTTS, not sure on who will win that one as they are both good.

Our defense against Peterborough's attack could get ugly.

2nd worst defense against the best attack, they'll get 2 minimum.

Good strike from the Barnsley player, but dreadful in the midfield there from us, had about 3 chances to make a challenge and didn’t to any effect. Barnsley looking a step above us already really knocking it around nicely.

Dammit, perfectly good goal disallowed by an incorrect off side flag. This linesman is having a shocker as he's missed another one.

He finally got one right!

2-0 now and that’s game over for me, their midfield is so much better than ours, but at least we had 5 mins of decent play and should have had a goal.

Noticeable that Moncur put his head up and picked a player whereas JJ in the same position earlier on just blasted it with players available. That’s what I mean when I say we just lack that final bit of quality to tip us over from being mid table side to a top 6 one

Such a contrast between how calm Moncur was in the box there with how Luton players act when they get in the box.

Shame as Luton had been enjoying a really good spell then.
