What is going on with this Rahic guy, Bradford must be the only club in the country who have German in a prominent position at the club who are doing crap.

Next club to fall foul of the foreign owners who don't know what they're doing.

I don't know if the apparent racist incident happened or not, I wasn't there. I'm inclined towards scepticism but it is a serious allegation so should be investigated and dealt with properly. I wish people would stop linking the allegation to any behaviour by Accrington players, one does not excuse the other (if it did happen).

What pisses me off is how irresponsibly it has been dealt with. One person heard it and immediately tweeted it with incredibly misleading language ("disgusting scenes... Luton fans...") implying it was mass chanting, which is clearly not true. Based on this one tweet it has now gone viral and is being reported in the national media, with everyone reading it not bothering to await the results of any police investigation before deciding that Luton fans were guilty of racist chants. It's completely irresponsible reporting and even if it turns out that the incident did not happen, was misheard, or even if it was just one idiot, the shit has been thrown and stuck to the wall now and we as a club have had our image seriously tarnished.

If she had just reported it to the police and awaited the result that would have been bang on and the right thing to do based on what she thought she heard. But what she has done is utterly irresponsible IMHO and extremely damaging. If the police investigation finds no wrong doing we should consider legal action, this isn't just some random fan on Twitter it's a BBC journalist so she knew exactly what she was doing using such incendiary and misleading language.
It’s the claim of “monkey chants” (plural) that I find completely abhorrent. Hence my complete scepticism over the complaint. In the court of social media and public opinion, LTFC are already guilty. Are The Sun, BBC, these Twitter journalists going to retract everything if/when it’s proven to be nothing of the sort?

How’s Taylor Moore been Kim? Seems to be getting on better in L1 than he did last season in L2 strangely.

Bloody brilliant, when he plays poorly our whole defence plays poorly. Looks equally good in a back 2 or 3. Don't think it's been any coincidence that since he's been a starter we've got our form together and look much more solid, especially away. He's good on the ball, in the tackle and in the air. Sometimes gets caught out positionally but what defenders don't in League 1 and he's young and learning, so hopefully getting some good input.
I spoke to him at Wycombe after the match, said he was really learning from Turner and Chris Powell and really enjoying his football. He's someone I wish we could get permanently, but he's playing well enough to deserve a shot at being in and around the Bristol City first team I'd think.

We’ve had some doughnut groups of fans on here in the past but Luton are the worst, aren’t they?

Upset because someone claimed Luton fans were being racist after filming Luton fans being racist because it isn’t representative of all Luton fans yet are calling Walsall fans racist.

Having a moan about an Accrington player after he was doing - by a Luton fan’s own admission - something that a Luton player does.

Being on the other side of the world but knowing for a fact that something didn’t happen but believing something far more farfetched did.

What a tedious bunch.

Ah they were pissed? That’s alright then, carry on.
I’d forgot being pissed was a reasonable defence for racism, my mistake.

No-one said it was reasonable or acceptable, I had a little joke about a ridiculous comment that was made.

Your fellow Luton fan replied almost exactly the same regarding claims of monkey chants. Was he being glib?

Luton double standards, becoming a regular theme on here.

No your comment tried to justify racism as being "nothing new" and they were pissed as if that makes it better. Didnt notice any comment from Luton fans being glib about racism, if they did then yeah thats poor to me too.

No double standard from me here either, I want the Luton fan related incident investigated properly so do seemingly all the other Luton fans here (not that I have to justify what other people think about something simply because they are also a Luton fan), so not sure what youre getting at there.

No, my comment was about football fans behaving like clowns not being anything new whether that be fighting, being racist, homophobic, general drunken silliness. Doesn’t make any of it right but that’s what you see and hear at football all the time, why spend your entire afternoon being offended?

I made a joke at the expense of a stupid comment, not at the racism.

Firstly we know its not new, secondly that is the very reason why it should be taken seriously and not merely shrugged off in a "boys will be boys" type fashion that you seem comfortable with.

We seem to be getting far too lost in this racism argument so for clarity, my glib (I honestly have never seen this word used so much in my life) comment was in respect of Kenneth’s claim that he knew something as fact despite being 7000 miles away and nothing to do with racist chanting which obviously should be taken seriously.

My post about fans acting like knobs was in response to you taking a flippant remark too seriously.

I shouldn’t laugh but sorry Wimbledon, those highlights are outrageous. People said on the forum we were awful but jeez, we some how we finally won and scored after not scoring for 6 games.

And let’s be honest, the 2 goals are the most pathetic and stupid mistakes from Wimbledon you will ever see.

Nice to get some luck though, need to try and push on there here

I’ll say it again. There is no chance that any monkey chants took place at Kenilworth Road.

Kenny all due respect but you cannot be certain of that. I was there and Im not certain that 1 or 2 idiots didnt do something....well idiotic.

Lets face the reality here that we do have some less than high class characters who support us, some of whom are well known which is probably the reason why the story has been very easy for the press to pick up. It isn't right to dismiss the possibility out of hand.

Ok that’s fair enough. It should be investigated through proper channels, but not via social media. The damage has been done. The club will not file a defamation case, but when the club are trying to get a stadium project over the line up against a corporation who openly admit to using fake news, it is extremely frustrating.

So our next two league games are long journeys to Accrington and Bradford. We are without our main Anchor man Tom Naylor v Accrington, but we have the joint best away record in the division. Having dropped a few too many points at home, we need to try and get maximum points out of those too. Accrington having only lost once at home will want to get back to winning ways. Hopefully Bradford won't have sacked their manager just yet!! We should have N Thompson back after he missed Tuesday due to his Mrs giving birth. Maybe a few fresh legs needed as apart from N Thompson we played the same starting 11 in Sat and Tues.

Luton is often teased as Britain's crappiest town and is one of those towns that has a large ethnic population that usually gets shit from people that live in 'whiter’ areas. It does one of two things to locals. It can lead to bigatory or harmony and as people are people some go each way.

So yes we do have some morons. But I'd suggest we have a lot lower percentage than most places. We're not perfect but we're not devil's either.

I loved Gary Sweet's (our CEO) comments on it today. We will find them if it happened deal with it. But let's educate them in their wrongs and teach them rather than just a simple ban that just transfers the problem elsewhere.

We often get detractors like Bobbin who brand the whole support on one or two individuals actions or comments, but I just laugh. I love my club. We do things differently these days.

Well a local derby coming up against a form team in Blackpool, McPhilips has done an excellent job, even more so when most Pool fans ( a few hundred ) thought the club would go pear shaped after Bowyer walked out

Now as for young Joey Barton without doubt he is still learning his craft. Two narrow defeats against the top 2 teams is no shame but tbh I would have hoped for at least 1 point from these games. Still a work in progress as they say and will be for a few more months

The Bloomfield road lot have the best defensive record in league 1, Fleetwood have failed to score in the last 2 games, time to register a 1st ever win against our neighbours 3-2, and start the new week with a spring in the step and a smile as big as that f.....tower !

Out of curiousity, what other club has forced away players to the back of the stands due to violence in the modern era. I seem to remember York players fleeing the pitch after beating Luton in the play-offs.

Is that the best you can do? That was 8 years ago now. Nothing has occurred since.

Across the whole support - I include the loons who come out for special occassions and rarely attend - we definitely have our share of idiots and probably a few more than most. I was taking exception to those on here all being tarred the same as was inferred. Kenny has always enjoyed being controversial but people like TFCH are some of the most objective fans on here.

I guess we got derailed........

So...... AFC Wimbledon away this weekend. Hoping for a win but we don't seem to do too well against them. Still have nightmares about our FA Cup semi defeat at White Hart Lane

This has probably all gone too far than it really should have done on here so apologies for derailing a thread that should be about football. Let’s let the police do what they need too now as it’s clear we will just argue ourselves in circles otherwise.

As for the football - the real dons for us tomorrow. Really hope we’ve put a clause in the Jake Jervis loan deal so he HAS to play against us rather than not being allowed too! Big opportunity for us to win only our 2nd game away from home where we haven’t quite hit the heights of the home games. With how well we counter attacked against Accy that perhaps shows the blue print for success away from home than our usual approach to it.

Luton fans on here are sound, one or two have rose tinted specs on when it comes to their club but all clubs do. I got pretty defensive a few years ago when some Doncaster fans accused us of singing about Billy Sharp’s recently deceased son en masse at a game I attended and heard nothing, but there was 3000 of us there so it’s not unlikely there was some stupid c*** who might have crossed that line.

I'd be shocked if he got sacked regardless, apparently nobody would take the job in the summer hence us starting the season off with a total amateur. He may walk though.

Any way enjoy the win, don't get to carried away when you play us off the park though, even Wycombe did.
