Seems like we were well off our game today and got dominated by Rochdale. Under those circumstances a point is decent as we rarely seem to play poorly and get results under Jones and we seem to have done that twice in successive away games.

Annoying from Hylton really, followed up a hat trick against Accy with a (stupidly) missed pen and a sending off, needs to be a bit more professional at times.

We used to be better away than at home but that's 4 home wins on the bounce at Adams Park i can't remember last time that happened :bravo:We just need to sort out our away form now as we've only won once away so far this season and that was at Bradford :sna:

Amusing to read all the Posh fans on their forum whine about how shit we are.

Apologies for not bowing down to the Barcelona of L1 and gifting you the win. We’ll take the 3 points, thanks.

Hope Evans’ cheeks recover from bright purple to their usual impending heart-attack red soon.

Not a great performance by us today but not complaining either. Rochdale won the tactical battle and stopped us from playing our passing and movement game. We just didn't seem to know how to break them down. Don't think we helped our cause with Lee, Hylton and Collins all included. As with the Wimbledon game (goal apart) Lee seemed to be unsure as to where he should be playing and often ended up too deep. We had other options on the bench and could have brought on Lee later in the game as a replacement for Collins who was in the pocket of his marker all game. Hylton won't change and it must be as frustrating for NJ as it is for us fans. Not entirely sure it was a red card offence either but whats done is done. Not sure whether we should appeal as three games is a harsh punishment for that type of tackle. Not dangerous but a strikers tackle and just badly timed.
Rochdale desperately need a striker. They had a fair number of clear opportunities to score and failed to convert any of them, thanks partly to Shea but mostly due to very poor finishing.
I'm fairly content with the point which makes it 4 points from last two (away) games.

A bad day at the office for Fleetwood, Gills on a run with 7 scored at home in 2 successive home games and none conceded, how the hell have you managed to lose 8 games so far ?
Tom Eaves the tormentor in chief, personally I think he should have been allowed a day off !
Its no good having a great win last Saturday and then just not turning up today, Gills are a good team but the manner of this defeat hurts

Mowgli, everybody wins at Bradford, I cant believe how dreadful the Bantams are, no doubt by the time we play them they will have recovered some form and time to eat humble pie ( again )
You beat a good team today, only 7 points off the play offs, sounds good eh

Pretty much dominated a decent Luton outfit from start to finish, but somehow didn't score. As 0-0's go, it was very entertaining, and even the inconsistent referee didn't spoil it as he seemed to let things go for both teams.
Not sure how a couple of Dale's chances didn't go in...would have been easier to score. I thought we played some lovely stuff but just couldn't score. Hey ho.

Luton nowhere near the worst team to visit us, likewise not the best.

Red card looked correct, but was on the opposite side, so will wait to see on TV.

Great numbers from Luton...well done.
Very disappointing performance from us - I’ve not seen a full game for well over a month but going by results, I’d say it’s probably one of our poorest games. Earlier in the season we would’ve lost that so kudos to the team for not capitulating.

Rochdale looked a neat and tidy side, but without a real threat up front. Andrew looked typically cart horsish and had very few touches during his run out. I can see where Hill is saying about consistency - they look capable, but can’t see more than a lower mid table finish.

We’ve gone from destroying the opposition to scraping 1-0 wins. Points are points though.

I didn’t go yesterday but it sounds like we played alright though and had our fair share of chances

Still not quite sure how we got away with that yesterday but Bradford's awful finishing explains why they're at the bottom. That miss from Akpan is one of the worst I've ever seen.

We've been playing like shit all season and yet still manage to win games consistently. It makes you wonder when our luck is going to run out...

You could've had a couple first half (as could we) and then second half Cox was free 7 or8 yards out but decided to carry out all the way across the box instead of pulling the trigger - literally had about 5 opportunities to just slot it in. I thought you took the game to us for 15 mins then the rest of the game sat back and tried hitting us on the counter, which nearly worked tbf.

Overall though I think we deserved to win - had more chances, possession and ground it out in the end. Not a pretty performance but an important 3 points.

I have no problem with you being on fire, all I ask is you continue with this fine run when you play Blackpool on Tuesday and despatch them accordingly

Let's hope so! We've got some very winnable games this month, with Blackpool and Luton at home and trips to Oxford and Bristol Rovers following a couple of cup games - 10 points well achievable I reckon.

I think that's a bit harsh, Don but I get what you're saying. Jackett has built a hard-working team that's very solid at the back and occasionally explosive up front. He plays percentage football which isn't always pretty on the eye but hard to argue with going by results.

It's so different to the Paul Cook approach, though. Cook is a football purist who imposes his style on the opposition. It's like we've gone from a cut-price Guardiola to a bargain-basement Mourinho (well, early Mourinho anyway).

We seem to dominate until we score a goal, then seem to go into our shell and we can't keep the ball. We need some better composure as we don't seem to have the ability to kill teams off. Hopefully that will come as the season progresses. Still well happy to be top. If we are still there after the xmas fixtures i'll be more than happy. Some say we were lucky to keep a clean sheet, but our defenders/goalie have been on form all season

Yeah "playing like shit" is a bit harsh but it's not great to watch at times.

Still, the main objective is getting out of this division by any means necessary but surely our luck has to run out at some point?

Thought Plymouth played much better than their league position would suggest, they play some neat stuff and their main striker was a real handful. If not for McLaughlin's goalkeeping it could have been an entirely different story.

I was slating McGeady for all of the first half for not matching my perhaps unreasonable expectations of him taking everybody on and smashing it into the bottom corner. He certainly proved me wrong on this occasion.

Another win, another clean sheet, back in the automatic promotion spots and a game in hand away from top. Shouldn't really complain but we do continue to be fairly underwhelming, hopefully that just means if it does finally click we start brushing teams aside.

We had won about 5 games in the last 5 years and now that we've won 5 league games in a row I still think we should be doing more. Can't win with football fans.

Yeah I was never expecting us to come to you and outplay you. I was expecting a 3 zip loss so just genuinely pleased/surprised that we was in the game.

Yes, all the stats say we're exceeding our expected points per game by quite some distance. It will take some effort to keep pace with Sunderland and Barnsley as the season progresses.

Traditionally we hit a rocky patch through Jan and Feb. Doesn't seem to matter whether we're high or low in the table - when New Year comes around we come down with the decorations.

To finally draw a line under racism gate from the Accrington game that was discussed at length here, the police investigation has concluded with no evidence to support the claims made. Pleased that the investigation has ended in that manner and that it was taken seriously by the police and the club.

Hope everyone involved, including the club and Oatley et al learn from it really, both sides jumped the gun and unnecessarily escalated the situation.

I doubt however an apology will be forthcoming.

Yes very doubtful. It does rather call into question a lot of what was said post the initial allegation. Fair enough if she though she had heard something absolutely the correct action to report to the police (although its disputed that she did that!) but then to seemingly fabricate a whole host of things around that report, other fans hearing things, Stewards going into speak to fans the "disgusting scenes" etc. Difficult to understand how no evidence could be found if she was in any way telling the truth on any of those other things. Very bizarre.

Interesting game against the Saddlers tomorrow, they sit just above us but we seem to be getting some form at home, equally our away form has deserted us

Good to see Conor McAleny coming back into the team, he is a quality player but sadly plagued by injuries over the years, we also have Kyle Dempsey starting to show some of the form which saw us pay a club record fee of £400k

Joey Barton is not taking any prisoners, the guy has made it quite clear this week that some Fleetwood players are not taking their chances when presented with a first team place and will be leaving the club come January, I like what he is doing, clearing the way for some our our younger players to break into the team, that has already been proven with Nathen Sheron now a first team regular and a real find

I think we can nick this 2-1

Luton take on Plymouth tomorrow which going on form looks like a home banker. A home sell out so no doubt plenty of expectation. Hylton serving a the second game of his 3 match ban but we've coped without him earlier this season thanks to having sufficient squad depth. Can't see too many changes. Not sure if Potts is fit enough for a return or whether JJ keeps his place. Bradley will certainly be up for it against his old team and it wouldn't surprise me if he nicks a goal. Looked at the Plymouth Sunderland highlights and by all accounts it seemed as if Plymouth had a few decent chances. The problem when you are down at the bottom of the league is that these chances don't get converted. The only thing going for Plymouth tomorrow is that they have a fairly decent record at KR. Let's hope they don't continue that record.

Shock horror there has been no apology; although to be honest I’m actually ok with what Karen “F” has said:
“I will not be making any further comments on this matter. I reported what I heard in true faith to the police immediately during the match and I would like to thank @bedspolice and @LutonFC_Police for their investigation and ongoing support.“

But Jacqui Oatley’s response is down right insulting:
“Good for you. Intelligent people (including the police) understand that a lack of audio evidence does not necessarily mean it didn’t happen. Shame you’ve had to put up with so much vitriolic abuse for doing what you felt was right. Time to move on.”

Can you imagine her in a jury?

Yes saw it, fits with the character she has displayed throughout the whole affair really. Doubt she will ever be welcomed here if we ever pull a plumb FA Cup tie or something! Really odd behaviour given she wasnt even in attendance.

She has one thing right, time to move on.

Plymouth tomorrow should be an interesting game. Think they may be in a bit of a false position and have had a few better results of late. Carey has always been an impressive player, and the forward Ladapo has hit a good scoring form. If he has a bit of pace about him and can get us on the turn (something we have been good at not letting happen of late), then could be an issue.

Don't think we will change too much from what has been working pretty well of late, especially as it seems some of the reserve players didn't exactly too much in the tinpot trophy on Tuesday. As we are at home I do fancy us but I don't think it will an easy game as some may think.
