Takes a lot more than money and a squad to build a team. They still may go up but it's hard being the big dog where everyone lifts their game, take double to SoL than elsewhere, and faces a stadium of people that have really high expectations. The players prob expected a cake walk too. Football. What a leveller at times.
Their fans still expect a cakewalk...

Blackpool doing pretty well all things considering..
I agree, McPhilips has done an excellent job with the lack of investment, unbelievable s......training ground and continued boycotting of matches by 000's of Pool fans
D day apparently is today when a judgement will be handed re the legal battle between Belekon and Oyston, I hope it is the right call for the football club and their fans

Hopefully Oyston ends up being absolutely skint but keeps the club.

Blackpool:hail:

And also Oxford for Saturday :hail:

There's a :hail:waiting for you too Stanley if you can stop Sunderland winning on Friday
It would involved Accrington actually scoring a goal.

Didn't Burnley win a game 2-1 a few weeks ago without having a shot on target thanks to two own goals?

The case went against oyston which is great for the fans but will lead to a points deduction of maybe 12 to 15 points

Great news for Blackpool fans. Doubt many will give a shit about a points deduction as long as the Oystons sling their hooks.

Luton at Highbury this weekend and their 19 match unbeaten run is in serious jeopardy. Lets face it you Hatters who would you rather lose to the Cod Army or some other team, you've got it -US.
For Fleetwood this really does present us with a chance of making a statement as to whether we can go on some kind of run. While the play offs are still a good way off we all know that a team that can put a few wins together can march up the table, I'm afraid that for Luton there is only way which is down !
2-1 to to the Lancashire lads and egg all over my face come 4.50 !
Enjoy the game ( Oakroader ) and safe trip up for all you Hatters

Not all of our fans expected this season to be easy. The club has players still on stupid wages and not everything is rosy as some other clubs may think. The manager had to get a losing mentality out of our club and is in a rebuilding process still and he still doesn’t know his best 11 and also drawing isn’t helping every week however it’s better than losing though obviously. Accrington tonight on sky and again it won’t be easy but hopefully we get 3 points to keep the pressure on at the top.

I still believe all the teams at the top are prone to have a blip but Luton keep defying this every week and personally i’d like them to be promoted. This is due to the fact i once sat next to a luton fan on a train when i was going to middlesbrough about 6 years ago, and the bloke was a massive fan of the club and was still positive about the future even though they’d just been battered off Gateshead and he basically said that he believed they’d be back up the leagues but i never once thought that that we would be below Luton within 6 years of this event.

Anyhow it is what it is and this season will have a few nail biting moments for us all to contend with.

My £50 bet on Cods gaining promotion this season could well hang on this result. A Cods win would hopefully spur the team on to greater things. A Luton win would consign us to a mid to lower mid table finish and all the resulting bull of "building for next season" would bring.

Be warned Luton, the Cods under Barton have learnt to play nasty so don't expect to see a 'sporting' game (we don't hold up the fair play league for nothing). I suspect the Cods game plan to be, 1, stop Luton playing (by all and every means), 2, Attempt to sneak a goal (by all and every means), 3, Hang on to lead (by all and every means). Having leaked our secret plan I do not expect to hears any moans from you lot if it comes off, you were warned.
