Tickets for Chorley away are now like gold dust (if they weren't already before!) Some people apparently went from Chester to EP last night to queue for the last few Chorley tickets which will go on sale at 12pm I think. Absolute madness!
I was going to go down at 10 to start queueing, but because of people sleeping in their cars overnight(!) they were already sold out. Got mine already but was hoping to get a couple of tickets for mates who've made most away games but don't have STs, looks like they'll have to make other arrangements

See that utter dickhead Reece Thomson of Guiseley has been jailed for 40 months for beating his girlfriend up.
Glad never will see him play again really winds me up.even hated him when he played for us.

Hi DSL,.. What I can't get my head round is that you were 6 unbeaten, 4th in form league and had conceded like 4 goals in 6 games,.. we were expecting a tight game and first few minutes you were well on top,... but then got the opposite. I dont think we actually played any better than normal, your players just gave up once we got a couple. Never rated Styche, always seems to have had a bad attitude wherever he's been. Hope you can get yourself sorted over the summer.
Yeah I am as dumbfounded as you as to where Saturday's performance came from as there were no signs. Then again it was exactly the same with Spennymoor in December.

On the debate Re Styche I agree its all down to his relationship with the manager.

Not a fan at all myself and want him gone but thankful for his goals because without we would probably have gone down.

Tomorrow we have top of the league vs top of the form league as we entertain Blyth Spartans (and former County legend Alun Armstrong) to Edgeley Park.

No defeats at home since September for us but if memory serves me right it was Blyth who halted our previous long unbeaten home record last season so a repeat of that would not be welcome!

We go into the game full of zest after the destruction of Chester on Tuesday night but as mentioned above, Blyth are the in-form side of the league having picked up 13 points from the last 15 available.

With Chorley facing a tough trip to a buoyant Altrincham, this weekend could have a huge effect on how each teams sets out their stall next week in terms of who needs a win and who'd settle for a draw!

I think we'll have enough to get through this one and take a narrow victory of maybe 2-1 or 3-2 with Blyth's attacking threat being significant!

Can't wait for tomorrow and next weekends clash with Chorley!

Jordan Sinott puts Alfreton ahead at Leamington. Thats the 20th consecutive away league game we have scored in. Incredible.

Big chance wasted today. Wasn't there so can't really comment but I would imagine they exploited teague at RB. After coming from behind twice in a game, you should at least get a draw. All down to that huge game on Easter Saturday.

Actually CFC4LIFE, it was Leather and Jordan who were caught out most often today, Johnson and ceesay have pace to burn and Alty are a real threat going forward but 3 goals away should be enough to at least get a point. CmW was outstanding again, we need as we have all season extra squad strength because beyond the first12 or 13 we are struggling. Tuton missed another easy chance when he came on for the last few minutes.

Thanks prodigal. As I said, was just an assumption, not surprised with Jordan being caught for pace.

Good performance today at York Street and a solid afternoon's work from the lads, probably struggle to pick a man of the match performance with so many putting in a good shift. Turner was solid in goal he's getting better week in and week out he would be a cracking signing from Bolton?

Palmer was outstanding with Jackson slotting in nicely and getting on the score sheet with a sublime goal, and not to mention Holness what a signing he's becoming. Great celebrations Omar at the final whistle with the Darlo fan's. Brilliant!

Boston's keeper Willis made some great saves, especially from Thommo and Kneeshaw.
We had one or two hairy moments in the first half but other than that we dominated the second half after TW's three tactical substitutions. I think we've seen the last of Henshall once again he made no effort and didn't contribute to anything on the pitch, dreadful player.

Good to see Wheatley in the stand, he looked really interested on his mobile phone :P1:

Sounds like FCUM had given up. We had an academy keeper in goal and we weren't in any danger of conceding apparently.

Playoffs are probably over for Chester we still have the slimmest of chances but still doubt we'll get into them.

Our 2-2 draw between two poor teams was highlighted by a brilliantly headed home goal by Sean 'I love Wrexham' Newton and man mountain Jon Parkin nipping back to the dressing on 2 or 3 occasions probably for a pie or two. I can't believe we've become so shit after dominating both Chorley and Stockport in the away games in the first half of the season. How can York continue to pay Parkin an allegedly 2 grand a week for a ten minute stroll at the end of a game.

Going to be an all time classic at the Impact Arena on Saturday. A team that has given up against a team on the beach. Cant wait.

Didnt travel to Leamington myself yesterday as feeling under the weather but was an interesting afternoon,

A sizeable away support gave Billy some verbal after the game and our Chairman traveled there and back on the supporters coach to gauge supporter opinion. Suffice to say after another abysmal performance it was pretty unanimous that Billy should go.

Our game against Chorley was probably the best match I've seen in 10 years or more. Two teams totally committed in right spirit. First half we tore em to shreds but only got 1 goal and as someone said after half time both teams took the handbrake off. Credit chorley for sheer determination and some fantastic crosses and free kicks but class told in the end. Can see why chorley been top all year but they don't have the strikers to win it. If we keep playing like this we will soon be back at national level we can beat anyone now.

Precisely what our fans have said all season. With a goalscorer, we would have it wrapped up by now.

A very frustrating afternoon at EP as Blyth came with a game plan and executed it superbly.

We controlled the game without really having much to breakdown a very sturdy and resolute back 4 protected by 5 in front.

Dan McGuire did exactly what he's paid to. Took advantage of a fast break and took his chance superbly.

Only real chances came to Stott who's goal bound header was blocked by our very own Darren Stephenson (nothing Darren could have done tbf) and Matty Warburton with a chance in the 2nd half.

Luck was on our side though with Altrincham giving Chorley the run around, which means we only need to avoid defeat on Saturday to keep it in our hands. Stephenson, Bell and Thomas all have pace to burn so will hopefully cause Chorley all sorts of problems.

Massive game on Saturday! Nervously excited about it!

Please dont be offended but on the evidence of saturday at Alty, I wouldnt be surprised if Chorley beat Stockport. That game will be amazing, wish I could go !

Tuesday's game between Altrincham and Brackley may very well define their seasons. I can't see anyone in 4th - 7th winning 3 playoff games, including 2 away, to get promoted. Therefore coming 3rd is a key position for me - miss out & I don't think we'll have any chance of going up. Thought Brackley had a really good shot at 3rd, but story of our season in spurning chances and not getting the points we deserved, this time against Spennymore. So many missed opportunities throughout the season... But Altrincham look so bang in form.

We're starting to sign up current members of the squad for next season. Largely pleased - we're just another push from being very competitive and we were held back this year by average results up to Christmas as the new shape took time to embed. However also reminded of the quote "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results" - a lot of the same players 3 seasons in a row haven't quite done it, so we need an injection of some new faces (GK, CD, ST) for me to think we can seriously go for the title next year. Also having any sort of squad depth would be useful...

The division may be weaker next year... although surely teams like Kiddy and York have to get their selves together sometime soon?

Guess it depends on whether Chorley bring their hoofball game or their pass and move game. We've played them twice already this season and each game they just thumped it diagonally from either Meppen-Walter or Teague in a back three. We just mopped up the long ball and beat them 3-0 on each occasion.

When we've played them in the past and they've played football, they were excellent. Hoofball, nothing special. They are very good at set pieces.

Totally agree MWS, all depends on which Chorley turn up,however, it will be a terrific game, personally I think you will make it but would like to think that whichever way it goes we both go up as we deserve it after the seasons we have had.

As a neutral i'd like you both to come up - but think that if Alty make the top 3 they might be unstoppable come the play offs

We’ve beaten you three times and never looked like conceding.

You knocked 5 past Chorley who only scored against you from set-pieces.

I think we could easily lose but it seems very rather strange to back them on the evidence you’ve seen.
