So, Gannon's has been issued with a three match touchline ban for an incident three months ago during our home game against Brackley.

Also, the written reasons for the decision haven't been released so there's no possibility of appealing the decision.

I'm not really familiar with how things work at this level, so can anyone enlighten me as to whether its common for bans to be issued for incidents happened three months ago, and for no route of appeal to be available? It all seems a bit strange to me.

Gary Johnson served a two match ban recently for something that he said to a ref two months previously, the first anyone seemed to know about it was when he failed to appear in the dug out for one game.

Woking had both their manager and assistant sent to the stands in a recent game but neither of them will apparently face any touchline ban. The admin side of things down here seems as random as some of the refereeing!

Since Stott has gone back to Oldham we haven’t kept a clean sheet and we’ve got a horrible 10 days coming up now. I’m backing Spennymoor for the title.
Couldnt you have sent him back just before Xmas ?
I would love you to win it, you lot so deserve it, however got to say Spendymore just seem unstoppable now.

Fancy changing places?
Terrible game but then it was never gonna about the beautiful game today with Billy Heath and Russ

If I was of a Guiseley persuasion Id be a bit worried if i am being honest. Really, really Russ and Clayts plus Marcus manage to keep you up but cant say we really looked like conceding today. Plenty of effort but I couldnt see much cutting edge in the Lions.

Really enjoyed my first trip to Nethermoor. Quaint ground lovely welcome too. Hope to make another trip next year!

Will you be better next year? Darlington, like Stockport, York and Kidderminster I've always felt were 'hanging around' in the division before they get the squad / manager / momentum to push on back to where you 'belong'. Yet it doesn't seem to be happening for many of these teams - you included. Was staggered when you appointed TW - mentioned it on this forum, just couldn't see how his miserable run had Corby qualified him for the job.

We're very lucky at Brackley at the moment - love the manager - gets the best out of a small squad. I'd give him a 10 year contract if I could. That and low expectations I think just makes it a pleasure to be a fan. We're hanging around in the division too, until the fact we're the smallest town in Nat N / S finally takes us 'back where we belong' at some point...

Probably not i would imagine with TW at the helm. But we have to believe that one year, somehow, some way, it will eventually happen like every other club in this division.

My problem with this suspension is that it applies immediately from when he's notified of it (on a Friday afternoon) but can't be appealed until the reasoning has been received, the following Monday. Which means one game's already been served. What happens if you appeal and the ban's rescinded? Do you get given a freebie?

Thanks, yes they're a friendly bunch.
Yesterday was a new season low on the pitch - simply awful. 95 minutes of hoof and hope an increasingly popular tactic from our management duo despite it failing to work. Our most successful tactic is to get the ball down, pass and move (we've looked superb at times) yet this has been increasingly strangled out of the team. We fans appear to be the only ones that can see it.
After this last week we're all now worried!

On par with yours clearly
Sorry, wasn't us who went full time mid-season with a big announcement about how we were going to "push on for the Football League", only to immediately crash and burn. How we laughed. Evo Stik here you come. :fl::fl::fl:

With 4 southern sides likely to come down from the Nat League & therefore probable Gloucester & Oxford City switching back to the North, along with Kettering being promoted for once perhaps the Nat North will be a little weaker next year? Although surely York & Stockport have to become too good for this league sooner rather than later?

If South Shields come up, they've got the money & the crowds to compete too

Looks likely we'll be switching if we stay up, and yeah Oxford C could be too dependent on relegations/promotions. Who knows we might even have our own sodding stadium halfway through next season?! (might being the big word here)

Looking to get back on track tonight at home against Nuneaton, we really need to get a winning run going, starting tonight. Going to be a terrific tussle over the next couple of months.

Made the journey to Ashton. Worried about our midfield as Milan Butterfield has been called up to Bermuda. Penn and Billy Daniels aren't that mobile. Hopefully we get back on track but wouldn't be surprised if we dropped points again.

Well it was hard work but we got the points, Nuneaton were hopeless with Belford time wasting from the 15th minute, finally went ahead when Alex Newby lobbed him from distance, then sealed the game as he drove into the penalty area and was taken down, Blakeman sent Belford the wrong way to complete the nights work.

Chester = Second best home record in the league after the leaders (one point off) but also second worst away record in the league.

Baffling.

Didn't play amazingly but a hard fought win. Felt like we were lucky not to give a pen away at the end. But onto Nuneaton need another win before a very tough March.

That'll be good a new stadium to visit for the tour (good luck with the new stadium), our last encounter back in the summer of 2016 was a trip to Whaddon Road. The journey wasn't too bad with the game being on a Sunday.

Cheers Fyldefan, yes would enjoy that immensely, however you look quite capable of going up yourselves, but you never know, we have a very hard run in.

County re-sign Jamie Stott on loan, he's the CH who played a big part in our run of clean sheets. Really missed him since, been conceding 1-2 goals a game since he went back to Oldham. His replacement Baines looks a good defender but when he makes errors they tend to be really costly, and he's a little too rash at times. Stott is much more composed.

Most importantly of all, it means I get to do the Baby Shark song again

Gotta make sure we win the league because we lose him for the final game of the season and the playoffs as he’s over the 93 days by then.

You’ve got to think that if we do go up then we’ve got an excellent chance at singing him permanently.

With Keane dropping into the defence against Maidstone I did think we might see the Jimmy Ball rumours come to fruition but surely we won’t see him come in now.

Lucky Bobble You could have an interesting game at Blyth tomorrow. Red card for their keeper last weekend and his suspension was upheld after an appeal. Their only other keeper is a 17 year old and they haven't bought in anyone yet.

No such luck. Mark Foden joins on a month long loan from Gateshead.
