Crazy as it sounds, I'd take one season playing that far away to come back to a new stadium rather than 12 seasons in 4 different places....
I think the biggest problem is the lack of certainty that this new stadium will ever materialise.

I've seen us play Concord, East Thurrock and St Albans in friendlies in the last ten days.

For what its worth, I thought East Thurrock were total shite as we beat them 4-0 (Should've been more).

Concord started well and in Billy Knott have a very useful player at this level, but they faded as we beat them 3-2.

Drew 1-1 with St Albans in Tuesday and they looked the best side out of three, they tried to get the ball down and pass it around.

Which team has played these opponents?

Concord are jousting for 7th place at best. Their manager is delusional if he thinks they'll do better than that. Obviously 7th gets you a lottery ticket.

Wealdstone at Ricky being segregated

Didn’t bother with 500 travelling fans for the Trophy game but will for 150 at a league match. No trouble at the cup match either.

First time they've segregated I believe since redeveloping New Lodge? I don't mind, put us all under one stand and the rest will take care of itself. Nice of one Billericay fan to tweet that they "need to stick them animals in a cage after last time." I've called him out on it for being a ridiculous generalisation, let's see if I get a response or if I'm blocked. I'm gunning for the latter.

If we get off to a good start then we'll definitely have over 150 there, even with people on holiday.

Two years ago they were doing well to get 300 through the gate in total.

Dulwich had a 3,000 all ticket game with no segregation and 1,000 away supporters, beer on the terraces three years ago against Maidstone. Treat people like responsible adults and most will behave accordingly and self-police the few who spoil the fun.

From what I could gather there was handbags in the bar before the game (likely from people who bandwagon on both teams), I'd left before this point and when I was in there it was all light-hearted with supporters of both teams singing songs.

I do remember the stewarding being completely OTT, but that could have been in reaction to what had happened in the bar pre-KO.

Apart from that, I like what they've done at Billericay - bar is very flash, online ticket sales so I could get scanned through and the infrastructure is in place to go up to the National.

I was in the bar before kick off and it was all fine until for no apparent reason a steward hit one of our fans. Nothing else happened. Even if you don’t see it, you hear about and i have still heard nowt. Must live a parallel universe.

BBC Devon have decided in their ultimate wisdom to drop us from their live commentaries this coming season (bastards!).... however the club itself is in the process of setting up its own live broadcasts.....

Question: how many clubs in National South provide commentaries for their home games?

Your lucky, BBC Glos haven't covered us since the 90's. Absolutely useless. Our fans actually created our own internet station (Severn Sport), however it covers other local games and not just City so will often be broadcasting from Slimbridge, Tuffley Rovers, Longlevens, Bishops Cleeve etc. Mainly in response to BBC Glos' woeful local football coverage.

Wealdstone 4-1 Weston-Super-Mare (Att: 750)

What can I say - fitter, stronger and better organised than I've seen any other Stones side at this level, it was the best I've seen us play since getting promoted back in 2014. The whole side were imperious, Bobby Wilkinson wanted 7/10 players every game and they all delivered today (Godfrey Poku though, I can see why Oxford City fans loved him so much, he was fantastic). We didn't give Weston time to play their attractive style of football and seemed to open them up at will. 2 goals for David Pratt and goals for Joe White and Bradley Hudson-Odoi.

On top of that, the woodwork was hit a couple of times, Pratt missed a sitter from 6 yards out and a couple of other golden chances went begging, it could have been 8 quite easily.

It's only one game however and I'm hoping for similar at Hungerford on Tuesday night.

Poor game won by a controversial penalty deep in to added time, glad we got the 3 points but there's definitely lots to improve on. Crowd 553 or something we easily had more than half of it

Concord 2 Glos City 0. City created very little despite Concord having 10 men for 45 minutes of the game. Concord by all accounts looked strong but difficult to gauge after just 1 match. I'm more concerned that we failed to basically do anything throughout the 90 minutes. Oxford City tomorrow, should have a better idea of where we are at...

0-0 Ox City v Eastbourne. Pretty poor game, weather killed it. Playing on a 3G pitch got the temps up to about 43 degrees!! Lads tried but neither side really threatened - maybe City in the last minute should have scored.

Onto Gloucester City tonight, looking forward to it, we had two decent games against each other last season both winning away from home. Need the three points, that would be a good start to the season for us! Up the Hoops.

Hungerford Town 1-1 Wealdstone (Att: 435)

Sucker punch equaliser from Hungerford after we'd been well in control of the game meant two points dropped. Dave Pratt with the Stones goal.

Ideally I'd like Freddie Grant back in the team on Saturday for Billericay just to give us a greater balance.

Over 2100 at Plainmoor last night. Bloody good considering the shit we've had. Sounds like it was a terrible game mind, but a win is a win.

First time we've been in a top half of a table for a few years as well!

1-0 win over Oxford C, wasn't there so can't comment on the game itself but a decent 3 points and good to see Jake Jackson getting a goal already. We have Slough on Saturday (at Evesham), hopefully we can build on this.

I saw Truro's attendance on Saturday for their first "home" game at Torquay and saw 362. Fair play. However it then turned out that Truro only had 36 fans there, the rest were locals and 80 or so from Billericay. Can't see them lasting much longer with that. The official subsidised coach they laid on for fans to travel had 20 people on it.

First ever National League points for the Hamlet last night, 2-1 at home to East Thurrock United. On top from start to finish, we went in a goal down at half-time after being caught by a sucker punch. Hamlet had the visitors on the ropes throughout the second half. We wasted somechances, their keeper made vital saves, we had a header that bounced down off the crossbar and very clearly over the line that wasn't given as a goal. We eventually equalised with 20 minutes to go and bagged the winner with a great finish in the final minute of stoppage time.

You lot were loud. I live about half a mile from the ground as the crow flies and rarely hear any crowd noise when T&M are playing. I knew that you'd scored what turned out to be the winner.

Billericay Town 1-0 Wealdstone (Att: 1,152)

Frustrating game yesterday as we were by far the better team in the first half. Wadah Ahmidi (who I was very impressed with) won us a stonewall penalty however Joe White's effort was saved by Alan Julian. After that we pressed and weren't under any pressure however a simple long ball was finished by Jake Robinson at the second bite of the cherry.

Second half was a lot more desperate from us, Billericay hit the bar but our only chance of note was a Dave Pratt strike that saved well by their backup keeper Louis Wells.

I'm going to say what I said a few year ago when we had 3 points from 3 games, we are absolutely going to tonk someone in this league.

I thought we have tonked someone already, first game of the season.

I'm thinking more of a 4-5 goal margin.
