Chris Todd is a fucking clown and the club is turning into a joke. He should have been sacked 3 weeks ago. Utter joke. We're doomed

Go fuck yourself.

You will be delighted to know he has gone then

Yes thank God for that. It might not work out and we may still drop, but this gives us a fighting chance. We were down under him, he'd totally lost the dressing room and the fans.

Only mentions the next 2 games though. Are they maybe planning on having their Woking game at Plainmoor in the hope of a bumper crowd of Gulls fans wanting to cheer them on against the Cards?

Depends when that match will actually be played. If it’s at Plainmoor it will be our third trip there this season!

Truro are a joke club and the constant fecking around with games should see their immediate demotion. The fiasco over the SAC game is a joke. How any supporter is supposed to make arrangements to get to the game ? I have already had one wasted trip down to Devon this season, when we, Wealdstone, were told that the game was definitely on, to bother with the rearranged game, whenever it is.

A real coup for Torquay to land Gary Johnson in September, who now has them top of the league in their first season at this level. When you consider how Stockport and York have struggled to adjust to life in the sixth tier in a supposedly easier division, that's a pretty impressive feat.

Who was the manager before Johnson?

Gary Owers. Polar opposite to the chirpy Johnson in almost every way. Dour personality and dour football. We were the lowest scorers in the division after his nine games, now we are the highest (although Woking have played 3 games less).

Owers did sign pretty much all of the players that Johnson has got playing (Johnson only brought in 3 of our regular starting 11) so he could spot a player, just couldn't get them to perform!

Still think it will go down to the wire between us and Woking. We've won 10 on the bounce which should mean we are well clear but annoyingly they keep winning as well:P1:

Hopefully for your sake the fixture backlog will take its toll on Woking, they have all those games in hand but all it takes is one slip-up and a loss in their crunch game against you and the title is yours as long as you can match their remaining results. They worked hard against us to keep the scoreline down to 2-0 after we basically battered them all game and tiredness may kick in. Ideally the top two will go up, but unfortunately that's often not the way it works out in the play-offs.

About Johnson, it just goes to show that reputations at this level count for little - it's mostly about having a manager with abundant non-league experience and knowledge, who can realize the potential at the club and knows how to get its quality players performing as a unit against a type of opposition the club hasn't encountered for a long time, if ever. Cheltenham and Torquay can certainly consider themselves lucky they landed such a manager after they ended up in divisions that have proved so hard to get out of over the last couple of decades.

Looking forward to Woking absolutely spanking us at Kingfield later on this month, we're still the only team they've yet to score against in the league...

As for us, 2019 has started off well. Hard earned win at Slough win on NYD and then a 1-1 draw with Dartford yesterday after a 92nd minute equaliser from Eoin McKeown. We should have been out of sight yesterday, the crossbar hit three times and a couple of sitters explicitly missed.

Ben Harris was the Slough striker sent off at Torquay on Saturday and he quite literally did the exact same thing with us on NYD but wasn't given a second yellow. He was subbed off at HT because the Slough management team knew what would have happened otherwise.

I'm struggling to fathom how we stay up now. No idea how we're gonna survive after this last month. Saturday's team at East Thurrock featured 4 players on the bench. 1 was still injured and had no chance of featuring and the other was our fitness coach! We have 4 out injured and the others that could have come in were all released by Todd so absolute bare bones. Most of his signings were young loanees who couldn't care less and some of them played their last game this weekend.

We struggled to create a single decent opportunity but did however have 3 penalty shouts (all turned down). The last one was the biggest joke I've ever seen, completely blatant! We still haven't had one all season long. Hungerford at Evesham this Saturday, failure to win sees us down I reckon. We can't buy a goal let alone 3 points. Dire

And just to add, Andre Wright is the worst forward I've ever seen in a City shirt. No hunger or desire whatsoever. Lazy tw@t

Turns out Andre Wright was released after Saturday's game. No surprise there. What a waste of a career. Mat Liddiard has also left today, joining Swindon Supermarine. Sadly I said at the start of the season that he's had chances before and hasn't proved he's good enough for this level and thats the case again.

I sincerely hope we have 3-4 new players coming in with experience of this level or higher because we can barely field 11 players!

Held on a bit tonight but managed a 2-0 win vs a Welling side whose tactics consisted of

1) falling over as soon as they got in our half and pumping free kicks in the box.
2) trying to get our players sent off by pretending they had been kicked/elbowed in the face.

Thierry Audel a particular culprit. Did the same in our FA Cup game with them.

Our rearranged game vs. Truro is now scheduled for the 5th February, 4 days before Weston away. Despite me saying I wouldn't earlier in this thread, I'm exploring the idea of getting the train down there and hopping on the sleeper for the return back to London.

2-2 draw at Concord yesterday, fair result despite a referee who must have been given his whistle for Christmas as it was in constant use throughout the 90 minutes. Let the game flow man!

Perhaps you could just take time off work and have a holiday in the West Country for both games to save the time (and probably expense) of a hellishly long round trip? Two long away trips in one week sounds pretty tiring.

"...despite a referee who must have been given his whistle for Christmas" - lol, that's what I feel about some of the annoying leaf-blowers round where I live, or replace with Christmas with birthday.

The drama at Wealdstone in the past 24 hours has put the Brexit debate to shame. Last night at a board meeting our executive board decided to remove chairman Peter Marsden from the post with the anticipation of posting a club statement this morning. Before they could post said statement however, a new member on Stonesnet posts a statement from Peter Marsden which paints a different cloud to what would be posted on the official statement.

Later on today however, new interim chairman Rory Fitzgerald releases a largely positive statement which in some instances contradicts what Marsden had stated (mainly around being briefed on this meeting) before going on to mention that the club needs to be undertaking a more sustainable approach, whilst remaining ambitious in making it to the next level. An under-23's team, director of football and the dreaded five year plan was mentioned too so who knows how this is all going to pan out.

Just when I thought we'd usurped Billericay for the Conny Sarf Shambles of a club award, they then announce that Dean Brennan and Stuart Maynard have been let go, 3 months into the job ffs. Couldn't even let us have our moment!

As I tweeted this morning, I would personally like to think Peter Marsden for the significant time and money (hundreds of thousands) he has put into the football club and it's a shame it has ended this way.

1-0 win against Hungerford today, our first home win since the end of October! Hungerford worked hard and had a couple of great chances to level matters but if our decision making was just a second quicker I reckon we would have been out of sight.

That result with Gloucester's victory at Oxford City puts the Tigers one point behind Hungerford. That could get quite lively over the coming months.

Bath have also decided to enter the title race despite me saying earlier on today that it was now a two-horse race between Torquay and Woking. Highest crowd at Twerton in 40 years - 3,492. We can play spoiler as we have to play all 3 on the road and that's something we are absolute champions at. Woking next Saturday, first time visit to Kingfield and I'm looking forward to it (maybe not necessarily the score).

2-1 up after going 1-0 down. Penalty. Simple, bury it, go 3-1 up and shut up shop against a very decent Bath team. No. Blaze the fucker over the bar (I think it landed in the River Avon... eventually). Penalty to Bath 2-2. Hold on for a hard-earned point. No. 3-2 to Bath. Hold on. We have a chance. Janneh 3 inches out. Tap it in. 3-3. No. Skied the f**cker. And that's why we love football.

My thoughts on the morons who tarnished our good name today are posted elesewhere.
