Seems trouble is ahead at Blyth. Alun Armstrong has been unveiled as Darlington`s new manager while star player Sean Reid has joined Morpeth. Rumours of serious budget cuts at Croft Park.

I see Kings Lynn town were formed in 2010 after the old Kings Lynn that played in the NPL folded - are they a phoenix club or not connected in any way to the old one?

Very happy with the Armstrong appointment.

I've just watched his video interview and he seems to already have a short to medium term plan in place. This season is a massive rebuilding job with only 8 contracted players (some of whom may wish to leave), so it could be almost a completely new squad by the time the new season rolls around.

Armstrong hopes to bring a brand of good football to Darlington which will hopefully bring back some of the lapsed and disillusioned fans back, but has made no promises about where we aim to finish - and seems to have one eye already on the season after where he hopes to push on.

Can't wait to see who we sign, I expect a handful from Blyth - though not the likes of Maguire who has been courted by Spendymore and South Shields. We just can't compete financially with them.

Got a feeling that missing out on Maguire may open the door for re-signing Styche, although Armstrong seems to want to build a squad of local players.

Shame to hear about Blyth. They have a great little set up there and Super Al has done a brilliant job for them.

Darlington are lucky to have him in charge.

I wouldn't say Sean Reid is their main player. Dan Maguire and Jarrett Rivers should be playing at a higher level.

Confident that Rivers will end up at Darlo, which would be a boost if it happens.

Tommy Wright will be the next Kiddy manager, with Reece Styche his first signing...

If that happens, I certainly will not be getting a season ticket. It's a circus as it is.

Doubt he'll be playing much, given he barely played for Workington this season.

Meh. Very inconsistent. Loves to bomb forward but not track back so he leaves the defence exposed. Honestly not disappointed he's gone.

One of the ones I grew to dislike to be honest.

Will show of glimpses of quality, but really shown bad body language. Always used to jog back once the ball was past him.

If he can get his attitude together and not be lackadaisical then he may prove to be a decent player.

ATFC can now confirm it’s Released and Retained list following the conclusion of the 2018/19 campaign.

The Reds finished in 15th place in the National League North after an inconsistent league campaign which saw better results away from home than at the Impact Arena. Billy Heath did see success however with another FA Cup first round appearance and winning a tenth Derbyshire Senior Cup.

Reece Styche – ATFC can confirm that Styche has been made available for transfer; the club are deep into concluding negotiations for his fee.

David Lynch

Morgan Brough

Kieron Hinchley

Harvey Grice

Players who have signed new deals for 2019/20:

Bobby Johnson

Declan Bacon

Josh Wilde

Danny Clarke

Players who were offered terms but rejected:

Luke Shiels

Tom Platt

Nathan Hotte

Martin Riley

Richard Peniket

Players that have been offered terms:

Josh Clackstone

Jordan Sinnott

Danny O’Brien

Tom Nicholson

Players released by the club:

James Clifton

Callum Chettle

Sam Ramsbottom

Craig Disley

Loan players who have returned to parent clubs:

Tom Allan

Adam Curry

The club can also confirm that we have already agreed with and signed five new players ahead of the 2019/20 season and their identity and pedigree will be announced in the forthcoming days.

Depends on the Styche you get. If he's motivated you've got one of the best strikers in the division. If he's not you've got a petulant striker who could get sent off every other game.
Never seen a player have that many clubs, def a good player hope for Hereford they have a strong manager.

Styche on twitter "Goes without saying that I am absolutely over the moon to sign with a BIG club like @HerefordFC a club that are doing things the right way! Cliche central but honestly can’t wait to get started and playing in front of a crowd again! "
