Despite the fact that there is already 8 hours of original WWE programming per week, the WWE have decided to begin a new cruiserweight show. I have been thinking for a while what a terrible job they have been doing with the cruiserweights on Raw, no one knows who they are so they aren't going to get over, why they weren't started on NXT i will never know. Anyway, despite the obvious fact WWE don't need a 3 hour Raw (nor can they pace the show despite it being 3 hours since 2012), the cruiserweights will be in much better stead on this new show if you ask me. I presume it will be filmed at Full Sail - perhaps even after smackdown. Regardless, i hope this will be a good thing for the cruiserweights to get more exposure.

This premieres Tuesday 29th November. Thoughts?

This has potentional to be brilliant, hopefully along with the great matches will be storylines and proper character developments.

An hour of this each week is a yes from me.

Will Raw still have crusierweights then or not?

im guessing this show will be a spin off from the Raw matches. seeing as they made a big fuss of it being exclusive to Raw i doubt they will drop it. will be able to build more on the storyline behind their matches rather than just showing up in a 6 man tag and being a spot monkey event

What i don't understand is RAW needed something to fill 3 hours, they should have just done what WCW used to do and have the first hour for the cruiserweights.

Yeah good shout that give them the opening hour to get the crowd going.

It looks like it will be a spin off from Raw as Iesty says, they are filming it after Smackdown so I hope the crowd sticks about and aren't too dead for it.

Why would they do it after smackdown, and smackdown environment isn't the kind of fans who will watch programmes like this, the cruiserweight classic or NXT.

I do hope it's not them giving up on the Cruiserweight stuff on Raw. Just yesterday I was discussing how the crusierweights themselves are doing a great job, but the crowd for most of the matches are pretty dead because people aren't invested in them. They need time to win people over more. But it's very hard to do when introducing like 10 people at the same time.

It would make sense for the cruiserweight division to go to smackdown, having kalisto win at survivor series would make sense.

So fast forwarding to June from last November, i still haven't seen any reason for me to care about 205 Live. After seeing Kendrick/Tozawa and Aries/Neville in really long feuds, i haven't seen a single ounce of character development in any of them. The setting is still wrong, the matches are ok, but because half the fans have already left the arena at this point - it doesn't sound great.

It was an experiment, and one well worth running, but yeah it's not really done all that great.

I'm fucking BAFFLED in how you've not seen any character development in Neville, as he's basically catapulted himself into being one of the most consistently brilliant things to watch on Raw every week, whereas before he was doing nothing. He's owning that division right now. If the 205/CW stuff were to die tomorrow, at least the one good thing to come out of it would be the overall product of Neville.

However, I think it's still salvageable. Moving Neville and Aries to the CW division was a great move and the first step of what I think they should be doing, but in my view they need to do a lot more of it. It's too hard to build up lots of new talent at the same time, instead I'd say they should be establishing the CW division with current names and then using them names to build the new talent.

There are plenty of people around not really doing anything who may be suitable (I don't know the weights or if they'd be eligible, but WWE usually lies about these sorts of things anyway so they could get away with it!) like Bo Dallas, Curt Hawkins, Heath Slater, Kalisto, Sin Cara, Aiden English, Sami Zayn, Xavier Woods, Enzo Amore... they'd all flesh it out, and some of them are doing fuck all anyway so may as well be used to try to bring the CW division up a level. And then, if you really wanted to push the boat out, get Jericho in there. Or The Miz. Or bring back Rey Mysterio or Evan Bourne, those sorts of guys. It's really in their own hands to make the CW division feel relevent... it's just a case of needing to use the right people. They did great using Neville in that way and it's elevated him as well as the division as a hole... now imagine if they used the above as well.

I should have said neville is the obvious exception as he has been solid.

I am not sure all those guys should be in the CW division, but i certainly understand why it needs more established stars. This is probably the reason sasha banks and titus has been on it to bring a bit of integration with more established stars.

The CW division for me is calling out for johnny gargano and tommaso ciampa.
