For some bizarre reason I'm fucking raging about The class of 92 play thing being on sky.
No idea why because it was so obvious.
Only shock is it isn't the Friday night game to kick start the season.
Wankers.

Surprised it's not been moved to Old Trafford so it can be preceded by an Olympic style opening ceremony and refereed by Howard Webb.

Oh my God, the reality of relegation has just hit me like a Jo Brand bearhug.

There's only one word to describe that fixture list: depressing.

Good to see us get a massive local derby on Boxing Day again. At Stevenage.

Not bad to start at home to Oldham, their French management probably wont be used to this division yet so we might catch them out.

Did I read that they 'regionalise' the boxing day game as public transport is more or less non-existant?

We have Cambridge at home which must be a pig for their fans to get to us I would have thought?

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
If you don't know the answer to that question by now Dave, you never will.

.

There is a huge difference between bt with a non league contract ‘having’ to show conf games shoving Salford down everyone’s throat because no one is a pull for viewers to Sky who frankly don’t give a sh•t about L2 or really EFL and just have it to be able to shove games on TV all weekend.

Coach potato watchers won’t watch L2 and L2 fans won’t watch that sham of a so called league side.........so where’s it’s audience??

They'll be hoping lots of ManU fans tune in to watch Salford. Remember the other season when they got to the second round of the FA Cup and were the televised match in both rounds. Also, didn't one of them even produce a documentary all about Salford City. They clearly feel there's interest in them.

Even if they're wrong in that assumption the fact that BBC and Sky are both close to some or all of the owners of Salford probably plays a part.

I've already had two Man Utd fans on one of my Whatsapp groups telling me they'll be watching it.

As much as it's painful for the majority of us to admit - the celebrity of the 92 is interesting to the Armchair Supporters. Stevenage giving them a gubbing on telly could be a blessing.

Macc at home is a good fixture for us but they did the double on us last season so not counting my chickens just yet.

Argyle at home on 26th October when I am away so can’t make that :dis:

Orient away last game to see us miss out by one point again. Woo.

Fixtures are decent for me happy days.

Home over 2 games at Christmas and as away opening game of the season I wanted someone away that’s undesirable and far away, hit the jackpot with Newport.

Cambridge at home first and then Grimsby away!

What’s the ticket allocation like at Grimsby these days?
1800ish if you need it, same as it was last time you were down here. Same stand, same shitty bogs, same lack of view if you're on the top few rows.

Morecambe away first for us. Went there at the back end of last season for a dead rubber, but will be good to go back with hopefully around 1000ish Town fans with a bit of optimism and in the summer.

Macc away on Boxing Day is a bit crap, no offence - I'm sure we're not their first choice either. Knew they wouldn't give us the Scunts.

Vale and Stoke at home the same day twice, last season we were allowed to do that but one of the two occasions this season Vale host Plymouth, the Lardies have Bristol City so imagine we will get pushed to a Friday nighter!

Just curious about what sort of away following they will generate over their first season in the League?

They're quite well placed for a few teams in the north-west, ourselves included to bring big followings. I can't see fans of clubs like Cheltenham or Northampton though being any more interested in going away to Salford than they would be Oldham or Crewe, especially if the match turns out to be televised.

Manchester being a big city will probably attract a few, including fans of other clubs who live in or around Manchester. I hear that AdamStag lives in Manchester.

Fair point that. On a side note, I wonder how many sub 100 away followings we get at Home Park this season? Looking at the league, I can see at least 4 or 5 who I expect to fit this narrative! Bad times

Let's just take a moment to compare and contrast how the various media outlets have decided to present the fixture list being released.

Other major outlets didn't bother with an actual article on the League Two fixture list.

Was always going to be the case.

Out of interest I had a quick look at what the headlines were last season and both BBC and Skysports led with Macclesfield kicking off at Swindon - which makes sense.

You would have thought, given the fact Orient won the league, and the recent tragedy with Justin Edinburgh, news outlets may have focused more on the O's.

Who am I fucking kidding, they were all going to wank themselves silly about the Man United vanity project.

I wouldn't be surprised if all of Salford, Morecambe, Crawley, Stevenage and Macc were

We may just scrape 100 with it being our first visit in a few years and on a Saturday. Obviously it's a hell of a trek but the only times in the last couple of years where we've dipped below 100 have been Tuesday nighters.

How many are Plymouth likely to bring then on the 1st day? I'd guess they will be close to filling it.

Plymouth away on a Tuesday. We will be lucky to get double figures for that! What is it? Four hour car drive, all day on a train. Sod it, if I'm off work I'll try to go. It's also a shame that we play you at home on a Tuesday too. You bring a few away fans which helps our coffers. That will be a lot fewer now.

Disappointed with Colchester on New Year's Day. That's one away game I tend to go to but not on the back of a hangover.

April looks interesting for us. Morecambe and Macclesfield at the end of the season. Could well be curtains for one or two of us.

Whenever we've had you on Boxing Day at your place I've always had to go by road as well, such a pain.

We've got Plymouth, Mansfield and Crewe away on Tuesday nights.

On paper we've got a start which gives us half a chance of getting some points on the board quickly.

Our Tuesday games are Orient, Colchester and Crawley. Only leaves Stevenage in mid December as anything close to resembling a London away day.
