Mansfield could be a dark horse for relegation this year. Proper woeful. Worst side we've played this year. Bit annoyed we didn't score more as dominated the game from start to finish. Oh well. 3 points and onto the next game. Utc. Ages till my train!

Never seen us dominate a game more in my life. So expect Conker and co's think they have been walking it. Mansfield look diabolical and even worse than County did last weekend. Thought they'd be promotion contenders but no chance with this performance. Come on city.

I’m not going to pretend I was there like you though ;)

Still awaiting your response to the fabrication on here by yourself?

I knew the only way you would be back on here is if Exeter won, just admit it hun.

I've already proved myself with facts which you want to dismiss.

Tell me again how you should've smashed us today despite us dominating all game?

Yawn. Of course I didn't come bla bla bla. The fact I've won awards and it's publicly known and has been in papers that I've attended every away game for years, again disproves your nonsense.

Now where is the mute button? I'd rather than communicate with a 12 year old petulant child who comes on here to troll.

Can't believe how disorganised we were and how little thought had gone into our planning to say we are supposed to be a professional football team. The line that the defence was holding in the second half was appalling and we had players out of position all over everywhere. Back to the Flitcroft we know, crap substitutions and make it up as you go along tactics.

Stockley looks a good player.

I think if there was a big debate on Exeter being lucky last season its only fair to state today they won and fairly so.

Exeter were bouyed by flitcroft making the dosadterpusly negative and naive tactic of starting one upfront, much to the confusion of the home fans. It was an acid test for flitcroft today as Mansfield we’re unbeaten, but had enjoyed an easy start to the season. Unfortunately, he failed.

It moves his record onto 4 wins out of 19.

Exeter were a much better side, broke well, knew how to play the ref and run down the clock easily after we got one back. A meeting of a promotion chasing side and a top half side.

The referee was a complete homer today. Where did he get 6 minutes from at the end?

Certainly wasn’t a homer, he was poor all round, though agreed 3 minutes would have been fair.

Matt Taylor was really angry with the injury time in his post match. Some really shocking refereeing in most games this season so far.

Am sure Flitcroft was telling the ref not to get intimidated by any bullying from Exeter or their manager and probably added the extra time on for being 'over committed'.

Not really, he just played the wrong tactics didn’t improve it and clapped like a demented seal

I can live this loss, Exeter are a good side. At least we only lost by just the 1 goal and not 4.

Am I missing something here - Betfair odds for this match Mansfileld 4/5 and Exeter 10/3. I would have expected it to be much more even than that. ( I don't profess to be a knowledgable gambler mind!)
Exeter were close to 5/1 on Friday afternoon. Ridiculous.

Well happy with that result. Mansfield hardly ever lose at home of late, and some of my pals who went said we were a bit under the cosh at times in this match. I know it is a cliche, but winning games like that are what separates the leaders and the pack

Both teams to score and an Exeter win made sure I had a good night last night at least..

We were poor, Exeter weren’t. Nevermind

I didn’t go yesterday but I’m a little concerned with this start, it’s definitely been underwhelming even with that being our first loss.

Flitcroft decision not to start Rose seems mental yesterday, I don’t get it.

Absolutely, you looked a top 3 side, we looked a top half side yesterday, which I think is a pretty accurate picture of where we’re both at

I said exactly the same before the game, to play 1 upfront at home was pretty poor and then to play walker instead of Rose was even more baffling

the combination of formation and walker being chosen on his own made him look like he had a bad game, when simply the formation was wrong and the decision to play him as the lone forward was wrong.

Starting to get towards the time when flitcroft needs to shape up or ship out

As much as I don't rate Flitcroft I don't think 1 up front was the problem. It was the same front 3 that put 6 past Accrington, Stags fans have always had some weird obsession that you can't score with 1 up front.

I think our problem lies in Midfield, MacDonald starts every week and gets paid an obscene amount yet contributes zilch in terms of assists and goals. Like Exeter showed the way to play 1 up is to get midfielders like Law and Boateng running past the ball. Bishop and MacDonald just crab around the centre circle while the ball goes side to side.

We never beat Exeter at home so didn't expect much, they definitely deserved to win this time and there couldn't have been complaints if it was 3/4 - 1. Let's see where Flitcroft gets us at the end of next month, I'm still in disbelief that he couldn't win 3 games out of 12 to get us in the play offs last year.

Strangely accurate about th Exeter numbers as well.

Weird atmosphere yesterday also, pretty silent all round.

So, I think I am correct in stating that in Flitcroft’s time at Mansfield he has won 4 out of 19 games.

Add to that the 3 wins in 11 games before he left us and that’s an awe inspiring 7 wins from 30 games.

Yeah a win percentage of 21%.

In that time he’s successfully taken us from chasing for autos to finishing outside the playoffs and now bottom half of the league.

I suggested this on stagsnet but apparently it makes me “negative” sigh.

I said I’ll give him 10 games this season but I don’t see much about him

Yeah. I see he’s started the players playing out of position bollocks, too. Just why he keeps repeating previous mistakes I have no idea.

I've a sneaky feeling we'll finish above the Stags yet. Neither of us going up, both having at least two managers in the season.

I doubt that and would like us to win a league game before making any statements like that. As for Flitcroft, yuk!

Seems he spends his spare time obsessing about Danny Cowley - he’s far too busy to think tactics.

I said I’ll be firmly in one camp regarding Flitcroft by the end of this month, for all our downfalls we are pretty difficult to beat, hence Saturday being our first, County are still conceding three goals every game.

That being said Flitcroft has started to make tactical decisions terribly wrong and we are a bit of a sideways ala Arsene Wenger Arsenal at the moment.
