Been dreading this one since we drew against Bournemouth. Two days rest between the replay and this game. Last time we played away from home following a gruelling cup replay we got walloped at Doncaster a few years back. Thankfully quite a few key players such as Nick Powell, Nathan Byrne and Dan Burn were rested so should come back into the team. James Vaughan will almost certainly come in for his first start. A win here would be arguably our biggest of the season so far considering our lack of preparation time and Plymouth's current form.

Since October 17th we've played 5 and won 5 away with an accumulative score of 2-18. Since November 18th Plymouth have played 5 and won 5 at home with an accumulative score of 12-2.

If Derek Adams has the balls to set his team up to attack us, then we should be in for a belter. I have a feeling our run of no goals conceded since 25th November will end. I'll go for an entertaining 2-2.

We are not quite the team we were at the beginning of Jan, having lost Toums to Fleetwood and now Ryan Edwards has had to have emergency surgery this week for testicular cancer, and it is possible that Taylor has had his head turned by Bradford. So we won’t be quite as settled as we were. I suspect Adams will maintain the attacking format with Carey and Lamerias working off Taylor. Key will be how much change can Taylor get out of Burns. I can’t go so will be listening on the radio.

Fingers crossed for Edwards, hope they caught it early.

Will be a lot tougher game than we would have expected a couple of months ago, for reasons mentioned. Having to play a game Wednesday night so close to a long distance trip wasn't ideal. At least we were able to make a lot of changes but our first choice central midfield pairing both played the full match and worked their socks off. Reckon we'll make 6/7 changes from Wednesday.

Hopefully the lad Edwards will make a full recovery and be back on the pitch ASAP.

Oh, the sideshow between Adams and Cook could be amusing to watch, they will both be using the full toolbox of wind ups. But you know afterwards they will both be normal human beings. Cook got huge respect from us when he went into our team changing room and wished them well when we knocked Pompey out of the play-offs.

Adams has been saying Wigan are already promoted.

Superb result. They'd won 5 in a row at home and was never going to be an easy game, weren't at our best and didn't create loads of chances like usual but took our chances. Think conceding first helped us, that clean sheet record was becoming a hinder as we kept drawing 0-0.
