3rd vs 24th. Argyle fans beginning to expect rather than hope. Got a 0-1 away win written all over it. Anyway, I hope we win and I think it'll be 2-0.

Pilgrims I hear you've not been playing well despite getting wins? This and Donaldson on the wing gives me some hope. I'll go for 0-0.

Giving this trek a miss but "estate maintenance" plans now trashed by the weather forecast. Tempted by St Neots v City, with Mark and Doug on the wireless. There are a few of us giving this one a miss despite a great night out and great result last season.

Based on recent results, no Dunne and fragile confidence - it's difficult to see us get anything. A 1-1 draw would be a great result.

Uncharacteristically confident for this one though heaven knows why. A 2-1 win, or at worst a 1-1 draw.

Soon setting off, long old day, will not be anything close to sober when I arrive which is probably for the best, hopefully we can play like we did last week and pinch a goal somehow but not expecting much. Please not Dallison in defence, and please, please, please don't let Donaldson or Slew score.

Not much chance of that even if they are playing! Donaldson has started a few for us now but I think the fans are already turning on him, he's just a completely 'meh' player that doesn't really offer anything at all so I wouldn't be surprised to see him dropped, and Slew hasn't been starting for us he's just been used as an impact sub a couple times as he's got some pace and power for the end of the game

P.S. looks like we've got some extra 'visitors' for this one too:

Shaun has got himself in a right pickle. Exactly what happened at County, let's hope we don't wait that long to give him the boot.

Derry is on borrowed time. I Suspect he's got one final chance against Morecambe next Saturday. Anything less than a win with a good performance and he'll be gone.

Under Money last season, we had 9 points from 7 games, averaging 1.29 points per game. He got sacked in November with a similar average. After 7 games this season, we have 3 points, averaging 0.43 per game. Derry needs to go now.

Maybe a bit harsh but guess we don't know what was has gone on before and managers always like to be positive of course!

The straw that broke the camel's back with Richard Money was his relationship with the players (admittedly combined with summer recruits not performing), rather than simply the results. With Derry, it's going to be results (again combined with summer recruits not performing).

Whether Derry stays or goes, I would expect to see us out of the bottom 2 by the end of October (although I wouldn't bet on it). Despite the striker options and the Derry approach to starting matches, the squad is more than capable of getting 2 or 3 wins from the next 6 league fixtures - whether Derry remains, Joe Dunne is caretaker or we have a new face already lined up.

I hope that Jez and DD have a couple of names in mind who might be capable of steadying the ship but I'd be surprised and disappointed if they acted without a potential replacement lined up. Saturday's match is looking more and more like a must win but a draw against Morecambe and 4 points from Newport and Yeovil may just be enough to prolong the agony.

Please, please please.....let's have no talk of the likes of Westley, Steve Evans and Peter Taylor. I'd rather have someone from non-league than them or their ilk.

Why? Westley and Evans are good managers. In fact Evans is probably too good for us and would laugh at us if we approached him

Westley is a bullshit merchant who was found out at Preston and Posh. We deserve better.

Evans is a convicted criminal who showed and shows no remorse for his crimes. We shouldn't touch him with a barge pole - but I agree, there are others who would pay far more than us for his management skills and approach. They're welcome to him (and his assistant).

Tell me if I'm wrong and haven't understood stuff (entirely possible) but you don't seem especially keen on Derry going anything soon, yet you predict it to take a third of the season for us to get out of the bottom two. I thought we were a team aiming for the playoffs and so such a bad first third of the season would lead to the players losing confidence in Derry's tactics and therefore Derry himself sooner rather than later, so being in a similar situation as with Money

Westley isn't a good manager and neither is Evans. Despite him being a massive dickhead, he's mental too and loses players unbelievably quickly. Read Ben Smiths autobiography called Journeyman (I hadn't heard of him, but he was a midfielder with Crawley during their $$$ days. Insightful as to the world of working under Evans)

On balance I don't think Derry was or is up to the job we need doing. He's still a novice and we're paying the price of his learning curve - assuming he's learning something.

I'd be happy to be proved wrong and if we were to win on Saturday and take 4 points from the following 2 matches (with Morecambe going pop, they're probably our easiest run of the season), he'll probably get a reprieve. If we don't I think he'll probably be gone. I'm more concerned about who we replace him with than when or how he'll go. Joe Dunne as caretaker will solve nothing and I struggle to see (and worry about) who we would bring in who knows the league and would improve things.

I've already written off and forgotten all the play-offs talk. That's because of the players we'll have available until January and probably until May rather than Derry's tactics - which I'm more tolerant of than most supporters, having seen some great away performances and wins last season. He never did crack how to approach home league fixtures.

It was a fairly entertaining game played in good spirit. The ref was excellent. It is very early in the season and I do not yet have the optimism I had at the same stage last year, where we could score at will. At the same time I did not think you were a bottom of the league side. Some sides I have seen at the theatre of greens are dire, but you certainly were not I just felt we were a bit more incisive. You have some good players, for example the keeper was sound, I thought your right back (28?) was excellent despite the first goal, the guy with red head band seemed to win everything in the air and in the second half your goal scorer (21?) looked very good.

We were in the family zone so not far from you, and one of my boys observed early on that your fans were fairly quite compared with others. I don't think he meant there were fewer, just that those there were studious of the game, not jumping up and down. Is this normal for you? And thankfully you had no drum.
