That felt like an end of season match where the result doesn't mean a lot to either side. In the grand scheme of things it probably doesn't. I actually like Brodie these days, he's such a pantomime villain who keeps the game interesting.

Were we any better today? (than the other 3 home matches, not that dross on the tele)

Despite an average start with poor performances, looking forward to a visit to Maidstone on the weekend!

Systematically outfootballed a team that will be Top 10 for sure. Dread to think how many we'll put past Wrexham, York and Eastleigh, it'll be like the Battle of Stalingrad all over again. Managers sending players to their doom.

And you will be the germans

Must be something about these bankrolled clubs.

Lincoln Red Rovers, rich mans plaything.

How can they sustain football on their crowds? As soon as their benefactor gets bored they'll go pop.

The problem is that Lincoln isn't a traditional football town.

WE WON!!!!
If only we could play Chester every week. I realise this is the weakest Woking team since we were relegated in 2009, but equally, that's the most limited Chester side I've seen for years. And given that they are always utter shit against us, that's really saying something.

We have finally won at Dover. Incredible.

Nice to see the league table tonight too - can we just end the season now, please :)

That wasn't difficult to get some reactions, cheers guys....I'm disappointed in a weird kind of way. Oh well.

I jest. But we were very good today, not really any negative aspect about the performance. Alex Woodyard shouldn't be at this level.

Outstanding performance today against a team that could be challenging for the play offs. Keep playing like that and a sustained title challenge will be on the cards, although I still think it'll be either Tranmere or Forest Green still.

Bit too early to be thinking about that.

However, a win at Torquay would set up the Tranmere match superbly.

Alfreton 2-5 Tamworth

We cannot defend for shit. Pure and simple. To have a negative GD after scoring 19 goals in our opening 7 league fixtures is not acceptable.
The First half was awful. Total non event really until the ref decides to give Tamworth a penalty for an apparent hand ball in the wall that nobody and I mean nobody had seen. Shocking decison from what was an fucking terrible ref. But I am going to gloss over that because it doesnt make up for our school defending which the fucking local pub team would be dissapointed by.

We then awoke after the break and deserved went 2-1 ahead which should have been 3-1 after the ref decided to this time ignore a clear handball in the box. Tamworth then levelled on 70 Minutes after Clarke was given the freedom of Derbyshire to shoot which was fumbled by Spiess to Lane. Then on comes on Evan Garnett who has a glourious chance to make it 3-2 but somehow slams it wide with the keeper to beat. And by god was it costly as fist Eweleze scored with an absolutely peach from nothing before we fell apart completely and tamworth walked in to further goals. Pathetic.

Thats now an average of 5.57 per game! Crazy stuff.

Lincoln will definitely be the toughest test yet, saying that we've looked strong in most of our games and finally found our shooting boots in the last 2 games, plus we're currently 7 out of 9 points at home so should be a good game.

We were just true class today, took control of the game apart from a Southport 10 minute cameo, our football is so pleasing on the eye. I think we'll certainly be up there this season.

We probably gave Gateshead more chances today than we have others in the previous 6 games, yet kept a clean sheet. Up to now, we seem to have been punished for a slight mistake/lucky ricochet. There weren't overly clear cut chances today, but more clear cut than we have been giving away.

Gateshead were what I expected from an Aspin side - huge and their main threat coming from set pieces, but in all honesty, bar a 5 minute spell midway through the first half they were well defended.

First goal was always going to be important today given the heat and playing 48 hours earlier. Another goal from a second phase of a corner with Woodyard crossing for Raggett. Marriott should have had his second before Arnold eventually doubled our lead and a corker from Marriott wrapped the game up when it was already over.

2 conceded in 4 now and 8 different scorers already this season.

Just about calmed down am really pissed off, not at Aldershot over 90 minutes they definitely deserved to win, but over our manager. He might be a school teacher, but that's no reason to behave like one. We have Sammy Moore a loan player from Orient, sitting on the bench for the third game in the row and worse Miller, arguably the best centre forward in the league sitting next to him, all because he got sent off in the second game of the season for two soft yellow cards, what other manager in the game would do that.
We got absolutely hammered in the first half and a super 45th minute Lafayette free kick goal disguised just how bad we were. When the two did come on at least we at least made a good game of it and were it not for the shots keeper who superbly saved at least three, maybe four great efforts we could have even won it, which would have been really unfair on our visitors.
But enough is enough, we pay our money to watch the best team, and that obviously means the best players, not watch them sitting on the bench writing I must not get any yellow cards 1000 times........in fact sod it, just realised I haven't calmed down at all

We're going to Wembley!!!

Great result and 6 points over the bank holiday weekend... Happy days! This won't last as our squad is too small and once injuries start hitting we'll slip down the table but enjoying it a lot at the moment.

Can't see Miller being too happy for much longer if your manager keeps this up. He's more than welcome to join Rhead, Marriott et al here if he wants.

Nice to get our first win of the season on the board. What a difference having Ismail Yakubu back makes. Really hard-working and committed display from everyone. Murtagh - class.

Chester - I really like them. Won six of our last seven against them and no matter how bad we seem to be, we nearly always win. They're in for a difficult season. We might well send them down when we next play them in April.

Hope Railway Blue enjoyed his day out.

Seems like everyone scored injury time goals today. Ollie Norburn deservedly won it for us after Kingsley James had scored two penalties during a seven minute spell where three were given. We should have been out of sight though given the number of chances we had after we equalised. Solihull had taken the lead twice with a deflected goal and a penalty.

Solihull were poor, we had all the possession but managed to not make the most of it. They seemed completely unable to play football and surely will get destroyed by better teams than us; deserved the win in the end but made hard work of it.

This sounds promising, they're the next to come here.

I can't think of any words strong enough to describe the sheer lack of entertainment I've just sat through. Pass the rum...

I thought we were the stronger side in the first half. Unfortunately, our defence is quite weak and when our forwards in the second half are Stefan Moore and Akwasi Asante, we know we are going to be up against it. That second half performance was the worst I've seen us play so far this season.
From how this season has started, I'm a lot more confident that there are four teams in this league worse than us.
