Really looking forward to this. A great performance in the second half at FGR was followed by a great performance in cup.

Big crowd expected. We will be outnumbered.

Stephens
Santos Nelson Tutonda
Taylor Fonguck Vilhete Johnson
Ryce
Akpro Coulthirst

Obviously would start Akinde but only if he is fully fit. The team was so good yesterday I wouldn't know who to drop.

Think we will nick this 1-0.

I'm going for a dose of reality.
If we compete and it's close then I will be more than happy but a win is probably asking too much. I would not be surprised to see both keepers have blinders and two teams that have been involved in 20 goals already end up with a 0-0.

Jack Taylor will probably come back into the middle, perhaps Clough might get back into the starting line up. Would be good to see Weston, Brindley and Akinde on the bench.

Forgot about Taylor. It's hard not to start the team that played so well yesterday.

Can't wait, the first away game is always great and this one is easy to get to, will be loads of away fans, and the new bar to make the most of.

After the excitement of the first game though I'm fully expecting us to lose, can't think of a more Luton thing to do.

Would certainly be interesting if Luton were brought down to earth with a quick bump, after a week of them being the greatest squad ever assembled at this level.

I think at times we look a bit shaky defensively personally so will be pleased to not have to go up against Akinde if he is injured, although Cuthbert did keep him quiet in the main in both games last season.

Lets face it, we aren't going to hit the heights of last week and it would not surprise me in the slightest if we took a step back in the next few games, I struggle to believe all of our new players have bedded in that quickly as it seemed on Saturday. You would imagine that Barnet will be a much greater test and not be stupid enough to play the high line that Yeovil played, but with the fire power we have up top we always have a chance, especially if Vassell is, like they say, not leaving. Lets just hope we keep trying to play the kind of quick high tempo passing football of the last 2 games, if nothing else it will make for some decent games this year.

If Nelson plays we'll have more chance against the Greatest Strikeforce Ever Assembled (TM).

Think Cuthbert will up for a different kind of defending with our style of play so far. If Akinde plays it won't be so much of the fast ball up to him, it'll be more to feet and bring him into play off other players.

Will be an interesting contest which Luton will no doubt be up for. As usual will predict we lose so that I'm surprised if we don't

Back to full strength after our midweek cup game. Hopefully Vassell will be in the starting XI. This is always a tough fixture as are most local games. I am still not convinced about our defence especially when faced with pace and strength. If Akinde plays he will cause us problems however if we play the same attacking style we did last Saturday then we'll get on the scoresheet. It will certainly be a game with plenty of chances. Would take a draw as Barnet have started the season well but I feel we may sneak a 2-1 win with a late goal. Good following expected as usual for the short trip and outnumbering the home support may help our cause. What is the problem with Akinde Barnet fans? Is it an injury or is he on his way out?

Injury. Picked up a knock against Millwall in pre season. He trained once last week so he wasn't risked against FGR. He travelled with the team and was at the game.

10-0 Luton. Anything less will be abject failure and Jones should walk.

Jones confirms Potts and Vassel are fit and available. Slight chance Hylton and Justin could featured.

11-0.

Something that will please Barnet fans is tomorrow's referee. The same one from that game in the wind and rain...

We never play that badly v Luton yet they always end up winning. I expect the same tomorrow.

If we do win I will look forward to seeing their managers interview I always think he's going to burst into tears!!! A strange fellow.

That's strange that's never once occurred to me. Jonesy gets passionate and I wonder if he's going to have a heart attack before long but he's not going to cry in an interview.

Desperate game, no quality at all. Most predictable loss and drawing a blank ever.

Just goes to show - jizzing over early season results is a fool's game.

Give it 10 games for all of us to sort ourselves out.
I do admit I may have produced an overly zealous amount of ejaculate over last weeks result. I do apologise.

Last season, Plymouth lost their opening two games without scoring and were knocked out of the cup in the first round to boot. Exeter lost the opening fixtures as well, the two Devon clubs were in the relegation places, while (predictably) Morecambe were top. Plymouth end up going up automatically while Exeter reach the playoff final.

Didn't make it today but not entirely surprised that we have taken a step back, sounds like we struggled in an attacking sense all day, and I didn't quite believe all those attacking players gelled together as quickly as it seemed. Fact of the matter is we probably aren't as good as we were on Saturday and we aren't as bad as we were today.

We just didn't get going at all today, but credit to Barnet, they stuck to the gameplan and played as a team rather than a group of individuals throughout - probably benefiting from the lack of squad changes today.

But we didn't deserve to lose that one. We didn't do enough to win, but Barnet did even less.

I'd like to see the goal again because I'm wondering if the perceived foul on McCormack in the build up was indeed one.

Vassell looked like he was playing with a turned head, but Collins was equalling ineffective against a big Barnet back three. Santos was a brute all game.

Well clutching at straws about any potential foul in build up to the goal given that our midfielder has managed to dive backwards on purpose in the penalty area instead of a penalty and not forgetting the awful red card tackle on Taylor by your no. 4. Other than that you must have been superior. Lucky Barnet with another undeserved win - not.
