'Tactical errors'
Well Johnson that's 4 or 5 bad results in 6 weeks partly or majorly down to tactical errors.
Leaving Flint up front whilst winning against 10 Man Wolves
Playing the exact same team less than 48 hours later against Villa
Totally losing control of the game against Bolton by going for 3 strikers and no midfield.
Failing to shore up the game yesterday.

Sort it out fella.

Won't grill Johnson too much for yesterday, it was a collective bottle from the players and their mental fragility that we at times saw week in week out in the last 2 seasons has come to the surface again.

One thing I will say though... At 3-2 up and heading into the 90th minute Johnson is planning on making 2 defensive subs, take off Kent and Diedhiou to bring on Walsh and Magnusson to shore things up. I'm generally against subs like these as they're counter productive and just end up leaving you penned in inviting pressure, but anyway at least they'll waste some time. Then they equalise with a couple of minutes left and he STILL makes the subs... We're then desperately hoofing to fresh air to try and grab a winner because our attacking outlets have gone. Embarrassing.

Yeah, Johnson had a shocker. Should've made the subs 10 minutes before the 2nd it was clear what could happen, Diony and Diedhiou weren't pressing or tracking back at all and we were vulnerable.

And me and my dad were saying even at HT he should be getting into them because we weren't playing that well at all we were just clinical. Came out so complacently and we were punished. Happened a few times even during our good run where we'd put ourselves under needless pressure conceding silly consolations and we finally paid the price.

Still fuming. If we end up missing out on the playoffs by 1/2 points....

You and I both called it benladdie. You were destined for promotion the moment Warnock stepped through the door.

I would still rather watch football and stay in this league (which is great anyway) than play like Cardiff. I mean that most sincerely folks (Hughie Green), I couldn't watch that every week, no matter how results go.
No offence to our Cardiff posters but it's horrible and I would rather be entertained.
What a difference to Wednesdays game.

Sorry Ben but it IS horrible to watch. We fell for it hook line and sinker but I stand by my comment. It might explain why the people of Cardiff don't watch your team in numbers that your position should attract. I wouldn't want us to give up our principles to reach the money league, that's all.
As for your description, thanks for that. :fing:

There isn't too much difference in attendances between the clubs, Bristol City average 1,200 more home fans per game.

Our crowds are on the 'up' though Southey, they're the best we've had in eons whereas Cardiff's crowds are poor considering they're clear in 2nd and on the cusp of returning to the Premier League.
We don't pretend we're a big club, unlike some, we know what we are and the attendances we're getting at the mo are good for us.

Yep you're having a good season and the fans have responded by turning up, Cardiff have been in their ground for 9 years now so the "wow factor" of a shiny flatpack may have worn off, wouldn't surprise me though if they get an extra 500 on the average before the end of the season as fans will want to see the "success".

I agree that their crowds should be higher though....

The fans aren't just turning up "because we're having a good season" they were here last season and the demand was there the season before as well when we were shite.

Cardiff's home and away support has been shite, especially given they were in the PL and a domestic cup final not even 5 years ago.

15/16 net home fans 14,256
16/17 net home fans 17,874 (+3,518)
17/18 net home fans 19,049 (+1,175)

so the 16/17 season was the first of the full redevelopment? either way adding 33% fans in two years is decent going.... be it the new stands or top six football.

15/16 only two home games didn't completely sell out. We're up 1k this year which you'd expect given we're doing better but it's hardly like we've found a shit load of fans from nowhere.
