I see on OTIB that some hack has tweeted that we have signed Nketiah on a season long loan, very exciting it's true. An Arsenal supporting work colleague thinks he is something special.

Fake account mate.

My boss used to work for Lancer Scott and he was the one who said about the medical, he’s adamant he’s signed up but I’m calling bollocks on it until it happens.

Assombalonga linked to us again yesterday by O’Rourke, I’d take either one of those.

Whats this all about then? When I first saw the headline I thought typical city, but you know he does actually have a point.

Funny that it had to happen to Leeds though.

Thoughts, city fans?

Ciderup - good shout on the fruit market mate, about 6 months ago you mentioned that.
Completely agree with him. I always lose my shit when we're on the counter attack and we kick the ball out because an opposition player's rolling around often feigning injury, we were too soft at home last year and our record was horrendous. Completely the right stance, no ambiguity then whatsoever and we wouldn't expect it against us.

Yeah tbf, it drives me up the wall. Especially when they're winning 1-0 in the 20th minute and they start doing it.

I think football really needs to start learning from rugby and having players receive treatment whilst injured.

Good on them, the way it should be. Always gets me when a team plays on whilst their own player is down, then when they lose possession they're all in uproar if the opposition don't kick it out.

Every club needs to follow suit imo, try to cut down on the play acting. Players will probably just hold their heads every time now though.

Actually I've noticed this, completely forgot about this.

Ever since we've started taking more attention to concussion & head injuries where referees have to stop play, the amount of players holding their heads has increased massively.

It would appear we are flexing the rules somewhat to sign an unidentified player from abroad. If the player is not under contract at the end of the L1 /2 window, we can sign him as a free transfer by all accounts...
'Out of Registration Player’ shall mean any Player who has not at any time been registered with a Member Club (or club), or if he has been so registered his registration (including as a Contract Player or Non-Contract Player, or equivalent registration in any other league) expired or was cancelled at any time prior to the end of a Transfer Window (and in the case of the Summer Transfer Window, the applicable end date is that applied to Clubs in Leagues One and Two in accordance with Regulation 42.2.2) and he has not since been registered with any Club (or club).

No idea who but there's a thread on it on OTIB.
Centre half / left back maybe?

Gassy Rovers takeover been completed today.

You best hope they’re a bit better than the last set of frauds you had in place. :D

Didn’t know they were selling. Is it anything to do with redevelopment? There are so many shysters sniffing around football nowadays.

Just last week there was a story that some US firm offered £7m to Power for STFC - just as the ground purchase/redevelopment is happening.

What a coincidence!

Been on the cards for a while mate, they're interested in some land as well to buy a new ground but I'll believe that when I see it.

What's being done to your ground, Stratton Bank finally getting a roof?

Well, the council have agreed to sell the ground 50/50 to Power and the Supporters Trust. Some Aussie fella has bought 15% of the club to get involved with the redevelopment. I think the idea is to lump a temporary roof on the Bank, demolish and rebuild the Town End and then start from scratch with the Bank.

There was talk of a new £15m stand being built but I can’t see that. You’ll know better than me what that would buy stand wise.

I like the Town End, reminds me of the old East End. Some good stories about City fans trying to get in there and take it from many years ago.

Our redevelopment was about £45m and that was an 11,000 stand and a 6,000 stand. It'd looked great if you linked the Arkells and other side stand with a stand that links round and then keep the Town End, would be similar to Ashton Gate.

The East End was larger, though. Being an old git I remember many battles. The year after we won the League Cup and got promoted we all piled into the East End early and waited for the inevitable!

The Town End and Stratton Bank haven’t changed a jot since way before that - apart from a few plastic seats. A damning indictment of the Swindon years!

Been some battles over the years haven't there? The last two visits to your ground were pretty hectic as well, and the 3-0 at Ashton Gate outside the Spanish Bar.

That end of season game where we denied you a play off place at Ashton Gate was nice!

Really? Where’d you hear that mate?

Let’s see, knowing our luck we will be playing at Yate Town next year.

If it’s true and they will do what is being rumoured then this is an absolutely massive step forward to us.

Someone that's employed by your club mate so couldn't be a better source. Not sure on the details of it yet though.

Not a chance he's going to get that anywhere now with his fitness record, needs to be looking to the MLS or China. It'll probably take whoever signs him until March just to get him reasonably match fit, he'll be about 2 stone overweight with the time off he's had.
