Friday night game but not on Sky unsurprisingly, moved because both us and Rovers are playing at home this weekend. Happy with a Friday night kickoff anyway, second home one of the season but wish it was away from home.

Bailey Wright's a major doubt but probably wouldn't have played anyway as he didn't after the last international break but no idea if Pisano is fit, probably won't be thrown in at the deep end anyway after recovering from an injury.

Fielding
Vyner Flint Baker Bryan
O'Dowda Brownhill Smith Paterson
Diedhiou Reid

Burton have been spanked in their last two games so will probably come to frustrate and play for a point but I fancy us to do them, especially if we score early.

City 3-0 Burton. Reid (19', 56') O'Dowda (78')

17,956 (215 Burton)

If LJ doesn't want to play Vyner at right back again I could see Smith filling in with Pack in midfield.

Not wishing to be complacent or smug, but we should smash this on current form.

3-0

Laughable performance by the ref, watched Bobby's goal back and the 'foul' in the build up is a shockingly bad call.

The fact he started achknowledging their time wasting in the 15th minute yet didn't produce a card for it allowing it to continue all game was awful.

I've always looked at Burton and thought fair play, hope they stay up but after watching them last night, fingers crossed they go back down because that really was horrible. Spent all game time wasting or feigning injury. Didn't look to play any kind of football, no wonder no one bothered to travel to watch them.

We just weren't good enough in the final third, Johnson's subs were confusing to say the least. They completely packed the middle of the park yet we constantly went through the middle. We lacked width, and ideas. A shame but not the end of the world.

As for the ref? Less said the better. A c*** of the highest order.

Did the same against us last season, never seen time wasting like it. They were at it from the 2nd minute

To make things even worse, they stole a 1-0 win in the 93rd minute. Things turned out alright in the end though

I've been hoping they'll disappear back to the conference ever since and looking at some of their results this season they won't be around at this level for much longer

If we continue to progress as we have this season, we’ll see more and more teams park the bus down the Gate. It’s up to Johnson to find either a player or system that can unlock the defence of a team that does it.

I'd say excellent too but I thought it would be a good idea to put Bristol City to win on my weekend bet...

Referee was wank but it was a good shithouse and Burton do it well away from home, their last three games have been 0-0. It's turgid to watch but if it keeps them up then fair enough.

Bossed the game completely, fancy us against Leeds as they won't come and do the same.

Quicker they bring in 60 minute matches the better. Soon see shit like time wasting, diving, feigning Burton disappear far out of this division.

Eh? How'd you figure that out? It's just less time that they have to do it for...

60 mins with time stopped whenever the ball is not in play. Recent proposals put forward.

If I was a Burton supporter, I'm really not sure whether I would be proud or embarrassed by their performance last night.
I've got no problems with teams parking the bus, but their constant time wasting and feigning injury was a disgrace.
And I must say, probably the worst ref I have seen in 40 years of watching City.........

Hahaha I'm sure they're well embarrassed with a point away at 3rd (?) in the league, Christ

If we performed like they did, I would...... anyway as I say not the end if the world. Could of been worse, could've blown a 2-0 lead.

Be embarrassed. Tom it was that bad, I know alot of teams do it but they took it another level. It was pathetic. I doubt the players care, but I wouldn't enjoy watching it if it were my team. That said we need to learn to break teams down. Opportunity missed but genuinely think this league is wide open, maybe bar Wolves. Plenty of twists and turns yet.

A points a point, no matter how it comes. They feel even better after a performance like that.

I wouldn't really care, football's about getting results and I'd be far more satisfied us shithousing teams, winding up the opposition fanbase and ending up with a point rather than watch us play some gushing football and lose 4-3.

Most angry I've been at a football match since last season: nobody in our midfield played very well, poor Bobby and Famara didn't get any service because Marlon kept passing it to the opposition and Leko and Eliasson kept running straight into defenders. Would've made more sense just to launch the ball over the top and hope to be fair instead of playing it short and on the ground. Ref was shit too, we should've had a goal and one of the Burton players should probably have been sent off (haven't seen a replay of it but it did look like a sending-off to me). All in all Burton deserved a draw to be honest, defensively they were very good indeed, although they never really presented a threat up front (luckily).

They didn't deserve the draw because a perfectly good goal was disallowed... regardless of how shit we were we still should of came away with the 3 points.

75% possesion too, 2nd highest this season so far behind brentfords 76% against I think derby.
