Because no Macc fans will have booked trains or otherwise made travel plans...

Ridiculous.
I know there's plenty booked flights already too. Who the fuck other than Macc fans is gonna watch this on the Tele?!!

I dont think they care how far a game is or how early kick off is as long as they get there favourites on. Cant recall sky announceing an additional game at such short notice

We'll have now played at a different time to the teams chasing us for 3 weeks running. Doesn't happen on final day so why is it ok in the weeks before??

Feel sorry for Macc fans, 6 days notice is insulting. Although Macc could have said no.....

any sign of who bt will pick for saturday?

I’m expecting either our game or your game to be honest as they’re the only two where both teams have something to play for. Probably more likely to be yours as there’s quite a high chance that they’ll be showing Sutton v Shots in a weeks time in the play offs.
I guess they’re waiting for tonight’s results to confirm.

Scouting over this thread it sounds like a shambles.

Is there literally a game on every weekend in NL? How far in advance do they announce then? Is there any rules like Sky?

Can imagine we will be on a fair bit next season so just preparing myself for the shock of Dover away on a Thursday night.

Mainly Saturday lunchtimes & some midweeks but as the season goes along you get less notice
We did have to go to Tranmere for a Saturday 5.30 ko this season changed after our train travellers had booked tickets
Clubs get £5k I think

Excellent stuff, another thing to moan about next season. Especially with a lot of Southern based games we have a fairly big proportion of fans who travel by trains so always book well in advance which will be fun when something gets moved with a months notice.

Very random Q - how feasible is a Dover away trip via Calais or somewhere in France? Few of lads I go to games with have muted it as an idea to do something a bit different and make a weekend of it. What's the best way to do it? Fly into France and get train / ferry back or drive to Dover and go there and back on the ferry as a foot passenger?

You’d better hope your trip to Dover is before March next year as it might be difficult to get visas for France after that.

Some things you'll soon learn about BT:
1. Gateshead are never shown.
2. Gateshead are never shown.
3. Gateshead fans believe their is a southern bias from BT.
4. Likely league winners will be shown very often in the final run in (we've had 4 TV games in the last 5 weeks)
5. Other big clubs will be shown more often than smaller ones, i.e. Tranmere, Wrexham, Orient (previously Lincoln etc)
6. Northern clubs get shown just as much as southern
7. Gateshead fans don't like point 6.
8. The highlights show, despite being on at silly o'clock, is actually pretty decent
9. To be fair, BT don't do a bad job of giving the conference some good exposure. Just the clubs get paid pittance for it
10. Gateshead are never shown.

You'll end up with tonnes of midweek games anyway, TV or not.

In our first season down here, we only played 11 out of 23 home games on Saturdays.

deciding who finished 3rd or 4th isn't really worth showing. Both team will be shown during the play offs anyway
2 teams who have something to play for is

So Woking who are very unlikely to survive at home vs. Dover who are very unlikely to make the play offs. Scraping the barrel a bit. BT just want to humiliate Woking even more on their pending relegation.

Why not do Wrexham vs. Fylde? Wrexham have to win to have any chance, Fylde still need a point to guarantee play offs, but a win could see them as high as 4th.

We don't want to be on Macclesfield Sports 1 anyway, we're embarrassing enough without the entire nation seeing it.

Woking vs Dover is a logical choice. Our game at Sutton matters to both sides as much but only because the winner gets an extra few days off.

Once Barrow didn’t win last night it was always going to be us v Dover. At least there’s a very small chance of something interesting happening.

Wrexham v Fylde is the worst shout of all. Out of form team with no chance of playoffs v almost guaranteed playoff place.

Both our games with you will be high on their list I'd imagine, along with Wrexham, Hartlepool and should they still be here (But hopefully they go up) Tranmere.

Also be wary of Salford next season, I can see BT looking at them for the odd wankfest here and there.

Games are usually announced I find in the early season 2 months in advance.

Pretty much what i'd imagine. Didn't realise the volume of games shown so we are bound to be on a fair bit I suspect, especially initially until they realise we are absolutely shite.

If they are anything like the BBC they'll be all over Salford

We've been on 3 times this season and actually won 2 of them but they came to the right place in Maidenhead in August to show a giant killing and our spineless lot duly rolled over :ffs:

Don't know if 3 is more than others (?) but yeah they tend to show the better supported teams more than others.

Frankly I'm just amazed we haven't been on this season. Their loss.

Think they’d have gone Wrexham - Fylde if Wrexham had taken something at Orient.

Maidenhead and Louis Laing's suicidal pass what great memories, was a sign of things to come in this abortion of a season :dis:
