This is my first post, and I provide its content for those who like to have a bet on the matches.
The following is a visual tool to aid punters to discern what they think will be the outcome of the match (or matches) they would bet on. It provides what I call 'C.T.P. Form Rating' and 'Performance Trend' for each team over the whole season.
If you like to make accumulator bets, this tool is especially useful. As long as you don't go over 4 or 5 matches in your accumulator, this tool should help you to pick games that will see your accumulator come right...that is the objective.
C.T.P. form rating is my own unique ratings system, and it is an acronym for 'Capture-the-Point', with its whole premise based on the theoretical proposition that teams play to capture their opponents point. The idea being that in theoretical terms (regardless of the traditional points awarding system of 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss) each team starts the match with a point each, and the objective to playing the match is for each team to capture the opponent's point by winning the game. If the match ends in a draw, nothing is gained by either team, but each team retains the point they began with.
With all this in mind, at the start of the season, all teams begin with 46 points; 23 points for home, and 23 points for away, and as the teams play their matches, they will capture or lose points as the season progresses. The traditional points awarding system is too blunt a tool to offer any real accurate aid, C.T.P. offers greater resolution. However, I must stress that it is only 'suggestive' not 'predictive'. I have made it as objective as I can, the subjective part is supplied by the punter's own judgement. Let us begin with the games for Tuesday night, 18/10. The red bar across the graph is the 23 points baseline.
