That performance was a bucket of cold piss. We didn't deserve to progress.

Well, that was embarrassing.

Looking forward to Liverpool drawing Sevilla in the next round and humping them.

So the team who plays anti-football lost? Good.

Roma are also through thanks to a Dzeko goal well taken. He then got Ordets, Donetsk's centre-back, sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity. The game was not great on quality and I can see Roma getting dicked by pretty much anyone in the quarters (except if Chelsea progress of course) as they weren't very good.

Romelu Lukaku has one goal this season against the top six PL sides. Wissam Ben Yedder has *five* despite playing in a different country.

Shakhtar were the better side the first half. Unfortunately I fell asleep and never saw the second half!

Ach well, I'm cheered up though by hearing the rugby team were eliminated. A celebratory whisky beckons me thinks!

Tbf Lukaku was great at the weekend and tonight. He's been a bright spot in the last month.

As a neutral, pleased for the goals in the second half, it at least made what looked like a dire 0-0 into something that got the pulse going. Mourinho will get pelters for this, and all the muted grumbling among the fans about how Man Utd play under him will gain in volume. Will he be sacked if the team win nothing this season? No, I don't think so, he'll have another season. The bad news for Manure fans is that he rarely lasts three seasons before he gets sacked. Hard to see this current side elevated to match Man City next season, it would be a remarkable turnaround...

Schools, Gerrard and Ferdinand scathing about Mourinho and United, in particular the complete lack of urgency as if a draw was good enough to progress and they were certain to get it. The only surprise for me is that it was at home, this is Mourinho's United.

Scholes said what I have more than once, he gets results most of the time and the deficiencies can be ignored, providing you can overlook the shit on display. But when it goes tits up his shortfalls are there for all to see. Tonight was a prime example.

It is great when ex Man U legends have to do the punditry on a Man U defeat. It’s magical tv.

I missed the game, but I've been enjoying the wake on BT Sports.

Jose: "I've sat in this chair twice before, with Porto - Man Utd out, with Real Madrid - Man Utd out, so this is nothing new for this football club."

You wouldn't think being hit in the face with a ball would temporarily improve someone's looks.
