I'd say we did in 90/91 but that was helped by success. (7K at Ipswich, 5K Leicester, 8K at Barnsley etc)

In recent terms no, best is around 2,600 that said its hardly like we are visiting new grounds unlike Villa were last year.

Our average will drop over the next four despite three sell outs.
The thing is you had new grounds to visit when you got relegated years ago.

You are a much bigger club than Wednesday so naturally will have bigger numbers. No they haven't and I doubt they ever would be able too. You have to pretty much sell full allocations everywhere to do it.
I think what it boils down to is we are more capable of taking the huge numbers away like last year more than Wednesday are. We also wouldn't of taken the shite numbers 30 miles down the road like they did to Leeds. What Wednesday have proven is consistency and loyalty season after season, always taking good numbers away( apart from Leeds)regardless. We are yet to see if we can do that, but I don't see why we wouldn't.

You would due to the size of club you are.

:bg::bg: 800 plus a few more. No idea how many though I'd guess about 2.5k

What they charging you? Don't mind Preston away, Preston itself isn't great but a drink in Manchester is always good.

Ours has been pretty consistent for over a sustained period.
Leeds is the exception (though it's up the road), but that is only since the bother at Hillsborough, prior to that we always sold out.
Ever since then (until last year's sell out) many of fans have basically shit it, the Tv also didn't help, but in reality no excuses they have been abysmal followings.

Three years of shit numbers to Leeds after some trouble at ours but that's no excuse, these grounds were new 15 years ago, not now, I've been to Ashton Gate more than I have Anfield, Deepdale more than OT.

Looking through you're fixtures you've only got barnsley left where you will take more than you're current average. Although you will probably sell out every one other than bristol city and maybe Boro and Leeds.
Millwall midweek, no way.

If we are still there we will take the numbers, average about 2.6K again.

Really? In what sense? I think we were still back then.
Crowds were very very similar mate, in fact we nudged it for a few seasons back then and the odd trophy to us in that period that's about it.

After the highs of the European Cup win in 82 Villa had a slump as you know, in the early 90s we had a good spell but for a bit of luck and better investment we could have done better than 3rd place and two losing finals but that's footy.

Yes, I was going to say your crowds were on par with ours from the mid 80s up until the early to mid 90s. We had a huge crash after the European cup win with our average attendance hitting 15k in 85, I think it was. We was runners up in 89/90 and 92/93.

Villa are a great club, much prefer them to Birmingham but I'm sure 80% of the country does.

There are only 3 clubs i genuinely like other than the villa. Everton, Wednesday, and Forest. There are some other clubs I don't mind like, Sheffield Utd and wolves, but those 3 mentioned I've always had a soft spot for.

It is a poor away attendance, but a huge month for us and with the Manchester game thrown in an expensive one too. On Sky on a Friday night not long before Christmas, I can see why people would pick other games.

By the sounds of it we will be taking a decent amount to the Villa and QPR games, but at the same time we usually take a reasonable amount to Birmingham and London and are generally poor once we have to travel past there.

Villa and QPR have both nearly sold out already but neither are decent numbers. Small allocations.
