Boro are hit and miss, depending how well they are doing. It's not a big place though, so the numbers they do get, you can't knock 'em .

Thought you lot were better than that. We sing about blues, way too much, but we never sing about West Brom unless we play them. At least it's building up more of a rivalry, which is not a bad thing I suppose.

We're only singing about you this season because of the circumstances, The way midlands football is going this season we could be the only 2 WM clubs in the prem nexr year. I think a healthy rivalry is good, and there aren't really any other options with the way WBA are going.

I hate friendly rivalries. Our rivalry has mostly been friendly, but it could become more heated, like our rivalry with Albion has become. I honestly hope we get pay back at our place you smug bastards ;)

It's not a small place either. Town itself is about 170,000 with Teeside almost 400,000 and Hartlepool being the only other league club nearby. Sunderland and Newcastle aren't a hell of a long way but still about 30 and 40 miles respectively. It's certainly not as if they're getting impressive numbers. I'd go as far as to say if Barnsley were in their location we'd be getting similar crowds.

Former heavy industry area so I'd expect so.

I think their numbers when doing well hold up well. They could easily pull in 30k plus in the prem.

In their location as well as Boro or instead of?

If instead of, then chances are you would get exactly the same as them - as you would be them :dk:

Some fanbases have a different mindset. For example, us and Newcastle are completely different. Both have big fanbases, but different mindset.

They survive on sub 10k gates and are taking a decent number of that 300 miles away wind your neck in....

First time they have played them at Sunderland since 92. It is on a Sat so good for a night out in Newcastle after whilst also on a good run. I don't think it is that great, personally.

And yes I know QPR support is shit before someone picks up on that.

2 wins in 7 prior to Saturday isn't great form is it?

5 points from play offs so still got a lot to play for, so it isn't like it is a pointless game. Plus a lot of the current generation of fan had never been to this ground, plus it is a great Saturday game for a piss up. I just don't see that number of fan going there as brilliant as it was stated earlier.

5626 silent Wolves fans at Deepdale. Good numbers, embarrassing support though.

Bit harsh, they weren't booming but made more consistent noise than some teams who have visited Deepdale.

Always harder to get an atmosphere going when the singers are diluted with casual fans there on a 'day out'.

Our following at Villa tomorrow night looks likely to be a shit one, i'm surprised.

I can't say anything as i'm not going but I thought a lot of people would fancy this one.

Sold our 2700 allocation for Villa within a few hours. Needed at least 1080 loyalty points (have a season ticket and gone to at least 8 away games) to get a ticket for it.

Shame they didn't give us more.

I honestly think it will be close to a sell out, so this season we wouldn't need to offer you more. Huge game.

I think it will be the old school support. Most of these newbies wouldn't have had 1080 loyalty points. I only have 1060 loyalty points this season so will be missing out.
