A chance for Northampton fans to watch and weep as Ricky Holmes runs them ragged for 90 mins, an afternoon of what coulda beens.

Hopefully this happens anyway.

Disappointing if not a little unlucky result last week so important to get back to winning ways as quickly as possible and what better opportunity than at home to a Northampton side struggling to get going?

No easy games obviously but have to be disappointed with anything other than 3 points today.

STILL to score either a goal or a point, either would be useful today thank you...

First game I will have missed this season, fully expect us to get smashed. Signed another cm even though we only play 2.

Regarding Holmes obviously I miss him (best player I have seen play for us) but in the 2 games against us last year seemed like he was trying to hard to do something against us, hopefully stays the same today. Would take a point and a goal!

Men against boys really.

Northampton did have a few chances in the first half but the second half was completely dominated by us, some of the football was superb and we were taking the Michael at times.

The second was a brilliant goal, lovely move and finished in true Ricky Holmes fashion.

We were denied the most blatant of penalties, how both the Ref and Lino missed it I'll never know but thankfully it didn't cost us.

Now, I've seen us twice this season and I don't know what Billy Clarke played for Bradford but the one I've seen is superb, today in particular he was pulling all the strings he never stopped working. Looks to be a very good signing.

The cherry on the cake is that Reaper earlier this week tried telling me that Rotherham's midfielders are better than Forster-Caskey . He was excellent today, scored two goals - the second of which is an early contender for goal of the season.

Great team performance.

Clarke is either quality or shit, rarely in between. When you're on top he's fantastic always looking for the ball and plays with real confidence, however when the going gets tough he gets gone. Judging by your post, you were dominant so no real surprise he played well. When a Wigan come to town and give you a lot more pressure, his performance levels might just change somewhat.

No complaints about the result, however there was a very good shout for a penalty for us just before you scored your third. However for us to have taken anything from the game would have been criminal... Completely dominated, at least we opened our goal account for the season.
The biggest surprise was it took you so long to get your third and fourth...

TBF to Reaper, Forster - Caskey was very poor for us, maybe it was a league to high for him.

Should be a good game on Saturday though, and it will be interesting to see how well he is playing.

Quite looking forward to it as we played well at Peterborough and were well on top when we gave that stupid second goal away. Posh are very good on the break though and will cause a lot of teams problems.

If we can only cut out the careless mistakes we will do ok, as we look pretty good going forward.

Perhaps.

Reaper may well be right, it just amused me that a few days after his comments on Forster-Caskey, he goes and puts in his best performance since joining and scores twice including an absolute beauty.

Will probably go and be completely anonymous against you now.
