Can't say I've ever met one single fan that cba with this joke cup. As to why I read the thread, I was hoping Luke had some good news for us all but alas it was not to be :(

I take it these groups are just hand picked to "try" and get the biggest attendances as possible.

Fucking hell Lincoln you can at least start treating this competition with the disdain it deserves now you've helped inflict it on us for another year.

Oh not this bollocks again

Though after successfully pissing off Lincoln fans last season at least that could be fun again lol

Hopefully we will go out in the first round and let scunny and Lincoln have their day out against each other.

Damn being in that group for us might have actually made it worthwhile. Notts and Donny for us though.

Thanks to Lincoln this competition was a big success last season (apparently) so we can all thank them for allowing everyone the privilege of playing against reserve teams again this season. Maybe if we're lucky we might even get to play some of them in league games soon as well. Cheers Lincoln.

Lincoln's fault when it rains.
Lincoln's fault when it's too hot.
Lincoln's fault that you're all shit enough to qualify for this competition in the first place.

Here we have the Imp in its natural environment, somewhere between denial and defensiveness

I think that goes hand in hand with reducing travelling times too. Though they purposefully didn't allow Newcastle to be drawn in our group which also contains Sunderland as they were worried about the potential for trouble.

Next summer is the re-vote time. Will be interesting to see who votes which way.

I see even Andy Holt has sold his soul to the premier league today so guess there is no hope for this sham of a competition to go anywhere soon.

How does this work then? Attend but avoid tweeting and then pretend you didn’t go?

Where does the money go from the home games? I’d rather not financially penalise the club I support.

You don't pretend to not go, you just don't go. Clubs make more money from it than gate receipts hence they don't care whether you turn up or not.

Last season I made sure I bought extra stuff (draw tickets, programmes etc) in the league game before to make sure they were compensated for me boycotting that nonsense

At least this competition actually gives Lincoln the pleasure of beating Mansfield.
Quite happy to repeat last season in losing in the tinpot thingy then get 4 points in the league.

I'm hoping DF puts out the kids for this competition this season
