Daniel fucking Sturridge, take a bow son! What a goal!

We absolutely stole that point off Chelsea, they were the better side, and we were flat throughout. However we somehow dragged that point out of there, and I would've took that prematch.

Chelsea though look good again unfortunately.

Wouldn't have taken a draw before the game. Begging for one by the 85th minute. Didn't deserve to lose it, so was a fair result in the end. What a sub Danny is.

Chelsea definitely the more disappointed.

What is it with your negativity Salty we missed as many sitters as Chelsea did. Both Firmino, Salah and Shaqiri blew chances they absolutely should not.

Re Sturridge, he's getting very close to being a headache for Klopp. Three goals in three appearances against PSG and Chelsea x2, and none of the usual front three are tearing it up.

Fantastic to see him fit and firing again though, it's been too long.

Indeed. Did we fuck steal a point. Fair point for both teams in the end.

Would you two have said we were the better side had we lost, after Chelsea defended us fairly comfortably? Alisson got us out of trouble at least three times.

Alisson got us out of trouble exactly three times, while Salah had three decent chances (one very clear cut), Firmino and Shaqiri a sitter each. It was a fair result.

Disagree, but not bothered too much about it. Would've took a point prematch, and said elsewhere I'd be happy with 4 points in these two games and a draw through the week, anything better, superb.

Where do I say we were the better team? A draw was a fair result and we certainly didn't steal a fucking point as you claim. Not the same thing.

Ok Mr Pedantic, as I said I'm not arsed either way as we got what we came for.

Hang about, how is that being pedantic? It's a pretty big fucking difference. Just accept you didn't read mine or Bilo's posts properly rather than getting defensive.

Delighted to have snatched a point there today. I thought overall our middle worked hard to close down their threat but it has to be said Chelsea's was the most creative ,very impressed with Jorginho and Kovacic their respective passing was so much more precise than what we could proffer, the sooner the manager closes down the gap that exists betwixt midfield and our attack and affords Keita the role of architect higher up the pitch then the sooner we will bridge the lack of ingenuity that is leaving our front three so isolated. It seems apparent this season the manager is insistent on a combative midfield ,but its a midfield devoid of risk and starved of invention and the guile needed to get the best from our triumvirate.

I've seen enough from Chelsea to say 'without a shadow of a doubt' that Chelsea will be the team to beat this season ,I 'm less fearful of City as they play a more expansive and a less controlled game than Chelsea.

As for Sturridge ,he made that wondrous strike he graced the Bridge with almost seem contemptuous in its execution ,but that's what top strikers brought on to make an instant impact are paid to do.

Nah. City still rightfully favourites with us and Chelsea fighting for 2nd.

I've been more impressed with Chelsea mate ,they just seem to have both the resilience and the thrust needed to annihilate the lesser lights of this league and then grind out results in games against the top four. I doubt we will be that busy in defense against City as they afford you the space and time to 'if you like 'circumvent their middle as opposed to Chelsea, who today proved they can close down and stifle any threat just as effectively as ourselves.

Chelsea without their best player would be f****d. City have already shown they can deal with the same. Over 38 games their depth will show out.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Very pleased with a draw here.

Chelsea's Hazard is fitful at best ,the fact he only turns up for games when he can be arsed for me marks him down significantly as a top player,I'm talking about Kante ,Jorginho and Kovacic that midfield is 'arguably' one of the most productive in the league and the fuckerz can mix it up,Cities midfield shorn of an aging Fernandinho would seriously lack the workmanlike industry he provides and I think Guardiola has undermined the importance of having a like for like replacement ready to usurp the Brazilian either through injury or suspension.

Like I said, from a purely personal perspective I would view Chelsea as having the squad most equipped to present a challenge in terms of both their defense and midfield.
