and no way are Forest Green bigger than Macclesfield or Stevenage!

What do you know Glory boy?

Anyway FGR are million times bigger than Salford.

Salford are a county level club in reality.

You not small your microscopic just a vanity project for The class of 92 but you will probably be involved at the top end of the league and probably win promotion

Go away you wierd cretin. You can have a pop all you want I cannot stop you.

Have some respect, you wouldn't even have known Salford existed 5 years ago.

Salford have a real fan base of about 150. You are just a glory seeking plastic who wants to get Beck's Autograph.

If the clowns of 92 left so would you and all of the other plastics to leave the real Salford fans with a mess. All 100 of them.

Before anyone says it yes FGR are very small club, but I am not going to have my club talked about by a plastic like that. Rant over.

Except that Crawley and Fleetwood did it way before us and splashed the cash far more.

I doubt our budget will even be top 7 next season, whereas Salford's will most likely blow all L2 clubs out of the water.

Our budget is nowhere near the top ones in this league and rightly so. We're a small club and should spend accordingly, so it was good to see we made a profit last season. Be interesting to see if Salford make a profit next season, somehow I doubt it.

Looking at your accounts you got 'sponsored' to the tune of £2.4 million, which helped. Was there a genuine reason for that lump sum, or was just it an Ecotricity cash injection?

It’s a bit rich when old Hippy Bollocks is pumping vast amounts of money in you don’t actually generate

Don’t play those silly games, FGR budget is still much bigger than it ever would be naturally.

Was thinking the same mate... like 2 bald men fighting over a comb... i have visions of the fgr lads getting slightly on top of this one and deliberately not posting to run the clock down in time honoured fashion akin to their team .

I never thought I’d see the day where a thread turns into Salford and FGR fans arguing over who is bigger.

To be fair it’s a non-argument, FGR are miles ahead.

Yep, but it's reduced a lot since the mad spending under Hockaday. Our spending on agents fees reflects this for a start. Our recruitment policy has totally changed, just look at our squad, hardly a who's who of top rated league 2 talent.

Yes of course it's bigger then it would naturally be, but that goes for quite a lot of clubs, yourselves included. I would say we're probably between 7-12th in the budget league, 20th in the attendance league.

And we are definitely much bigger then Salford.

This is what it has all been building up to ever since TFF was around. It's like the Whitewalkers finally getting beyond the wall on GoT.

FGR are the gingers who scrambled into the four kingdoms with the help of organic giant’s milk; Salford the plastics who all joined the army of the dead in the past few weeks and used a billionaire dragon to melt the fucking wall.

FGR are definitely a bigger club than Salford, so I can understand the frustration of the Nailsworth contingent.

It would be like comparing Tranmere to Chester. :fish:

Not a game of thrones kind of guy but i can take stick off fans of traditional clubs not off FGR. FGR calling us plastic and bankrolled is very hypocritical given they were one of the pioneers they probably are a bit bigger but they are as things stand pretty fake

no moral high ground there

i look forward to our games, can call them the bankrolled tinpotter derby

Whilst FGR have been financially doped to the eyeballs, they were an established Conference team when Vince started ploughing the money in. They're now only one division above where they were before (although that probably says more about Hockaday and Pennock's ineptitude) his money and would probably still be a Conference team without it - although that is debatable as they were very much in the shit financially before he took over.

Southern League champions, 12 years in the Conference, 2 FA Trophy finals and 2 FA cup third Round appearances, and built all our current facilities all pre-Ecotricity. We are also nearly 130 years old. We are not comparable to Salford on the plastic scale.

Yes, not a popular decision at the time and even though we've got used to it there are still many that would prefer us to wear our traditional colours.

I never said we weren't tinpot tbf. But we are a proper long established tinpot club.

Changing kit colours at a new chairman whim is almost starting over.

I loved our old badge, still got loads of merch with it on. My old school pencil case for example. I was the only kid with one of those lol.

And most of our flags etc are black and white and we still sing a lot of black and white based chants.
