Havant have signed Nick Kabamba on loan from Portsmouth who spent time on loan at Aldershot last season.

Divided opinion between our fans, scored 3 big goals for us but didn’t really do anything else at all, albeit most times from the bench.
Decent enough signing for Havant. Was half expecting us to sign him.

A young player who was in and out of the Stevenage first team, dropping down here to get more game time. Similar to Macauley Bonne and Colchester last season, hopefully he can turn out to be as good.

Bonne was obviously always a really good signing. From the digging around it sounds like Gorman's limited with passion... Still not seen him though.

Former AFC Wimbledon, Portsmouth and Millwall defender Paul Robinson has signed for Havant & Waterlooville. At 36, he's no spring chicken but he could do a job for them. He certainly couldn't cut it in L1 for us last season but 2 levels lower, he could do it.

Strikers Devante Rodney and Rory Gaffney have signed on for the Ammies as the club looks to push on into the EFL.

Rodney has signed a two-year deal and joins from fellow National League side Hartlepool United for an undisclosed fee

Rory Gaffney joins from League One side Bristol Rovers where he bagged five goals last season in ten appearances. He signs for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal

Salford have got a hell of a player in Gaffney. Could be signing of the season tbh

I'm still shocked to see this transfer go through.

Good luck Rory, I really do wish you all the best

Super Drew Talbot has signed a new one year deal 5 weeks after being released before MA came in due to wage budget being slashed!!

For me, that's a coup at this level, as I rate Talbot as a top end league 2/ lower end league 1 full back, very happy!

was Gaffney the ginger player who played on the right hand side when we beat you at your place in the cup? If so he did look a decent player

Yep he played as a wide player in a 4-3-3 back then.

Tbh, that was one of the worst ever games we've played so if he looked good that day then I'd like to think he'd tear up the NL. For my Rory is a top 6 L2 striker, he was banging goals for us in L2 and played well for the most part of L1.

Salford the new FGR. Silly signing and must be on stupid wages.

We have signed no one at present and can’t until some leave.

I'm not shocked at all. Gaffney at best is a 4th division striker and towards the end of last season was very poor. With new strikers coming in he would have definitely only been a bench warmer this coming season. Good move for both clubs concerned and I wish him all the best.

According to wiki, he scored 8 goals in 24 appearances for you in League 2 which is respectable but nothing amazing. His strike rate in League 1 was about 1 goal in every 6 matches. Did he start most of those matches or not?

For the NL, certainly. He was probably on around 1,5/2k a week with us

I didn't even realise he played that many games for us! He was excellent in L2.

Our first season in L1 he started 70% of the time. This season, 90% were from the bench. Towards the end of the season he was really off form which didn't help him.

The guy always gave 120% though, he never stops running.

Probably stating the obvious but Devante Rodney is the less impressive signing of the two

Anyone called 'Gaffney' is not going to be any good.

We have signed Daggers’ erstwhile keeper Mark Cousins, a signing which has been rumoured for a few weeks. Seems to be the custodian of quality that we need.

I thought Robson was a good defender for them.

What are the Odds on Barnet selling Akinde to a league side then buying Michael Cheek as well!!

There is a rumour that AFC Wimbledon are interested in signing Akinde.

We had a much better team season before last, the season just gone was a shambles despite the money problems. Stilly signing up a mid table side here! Please sign Cheek too.

Didn’t Robson and Cousins play for that team too?
We already have a pretty complete squad, so we’d hardly be signing a completely new team.

It looks like we'll be signing 3-4 players from D&R (Howell and Howells also rumoured). Are these the better players from their squad or is Still just recruiting average players he trusts, like Allen is at Chesterfield?
