Another random Dover signing- forward Steven Rigg ex-Gateshead, Barrow etc
Ex-Barrow is a bit of a stretch (though factually accurate). We signed him on loan and he came on and got crocked inside 5 mins...

Always highly rated when he was at Penrith, scoring stupid amounts of goals, but seemed a little out of his depth at Carlisle.

Barrow, Carlisle and Penrith? Does he know Dover is in France?

Quite happy with that signing. The last signing we had from Grimsby turned out to be pretty good, so have Grimsby got anymore players to help us out? :bg:
Can we interest you in a Harry Cardwell?

Not any good ones.
Interesting you say that, because the Cowley sisters were desperate to keep the last Lincoln player we signed.

Hooper must have found his level, surprised he banged so many in for Bromley. Was criminally scapegoated by our fans, but there's no smoke without fire.

He says that about everyone who leaves us. He was apparently desperate to keep Luke Waterfall but I'm sure the signing of Jason Shackell a week later more than made up for it

Anyway, I jest. I like Green and I'm sure he'll do a good job for you.

We’ve signed 2 from Northampton.

Luke Coddington a keeper and David Buchanan a left back.

Don’t know much about the keeper but the LB on paper is a good signing I think.
Coddington played only a handful of games for us so folks around here would be better placed to comment on him.

Buchanan is getting on but is an extremely competent defensive full back. Never gets injured (he played like 110 straight games for us) and is a leader off and on the pitch. Not particularly pacy and isnt great going forward, but is excellent defensively, a good signing for you guys I would say.

Buchanan is a good signing for us. Experienced player and as has been pointed out a leader on and off the pitch, something we haven’t got an abundance of.

Does hint that we’ll be changing our system though, as I’m not sure Buchanan would suit a wing back role with his age and lack of pace. So guessing we may be reverting to a back 4 as oppose to a back 5 we played with last season under Sheridan but guess we’ll wait and see.

Unsure as to whether the keeper has been signing as a younger under study to Jalal or whether Sheridan sees him as the new number 1. Will be interesting to see how that develops.

That’s 4 signings done then. Can’t see Sheridan making many more signings now, possibly 1 or 2 (very much needed) as he’s regularly spoke about having a smaller and more competitive squad this time round.

The Codman was great for us but apparently shit for whatever tinpot side he went to, can’t remember. I’m glad we didn’t sign him last summer though, Lainton is far better.

Quite pleased with JJ the jet plane, looks like Bromley knew how to get the best out of him, which is something we need to do now. Happy with the way Hughes has gone about his business so far, exactly the kind of players we should be targeting. Would be nice to get a fast right-back now and a solid defensive midfielder to replace Brad Walker.
