Isn't Waring just a big lump?

Asante is a good player, any news on his injury woes? A big part of how well your season is going to go is going to be down to his fitness.
Waring is a decent player ~ 6' 5", so good in the air and holds the ball up well, decent control and 5 goals in 9 apps.

Interesting. Saw very little of him at Rovers, failed the attitude test it seemed and didn’t impress on his rare appearances for us.

Waring has looked good, but you can see a mile off he’s putting extra in because he’s playing for us. He’s from Chester, he came through our academy and his family are lifelong season ticket holders. He’s failed a few times, ended up here and you can see he doesn’t want to mess this chance up.

Every time he scores, especially in front of the Harry Mac, he goes absolutely berserk. No matter what he’s done elsewhere, that’ll do for us. Not as dominant in the air as you’d think he’d be, but he’s particularly tidy holding the ball up with his feet.

A bit like Alabi then?
Actually no. While I don't think Rovers played to Alabi's strengths when he was selected, think including pre-season he played about a dozen times for us, so there was enough to form an opinion that he was the wrong fit for us. Waring was injured pre-season and I only ever saw one substitute appearance by him in a Rovers shirt, which was indifferent at best.

Only reason Bingham has dropped to non-league is due to his injury record - if he hadn't been a regular sicknote he'd be staying in League One with us. Very gifted player, hope he can get over his fitness issues.

Poor injury record, so he moves to a club who play their home games on 4g? Smart move fella.

Our first signing of the summer has now been confirmed. We have also agreed terms with another player which should be announced very soon.

It seems Blackpool have signed Adi Yussuf based purely on the fact he scored against them in the cup last season! Decent non-league player, but no way is he good enough for League 1.

Now up to five arrivals this summer.
Adding Chris Bush to the list of Clifton, Cheek, Kizzie & Bingham.
Only expect one more and that’s between the sticks.

We’ve signed Harold Odametey was at Maidenhead, seem to remember him as being fairly decent, any good Maidenhead fans?

All action midfielder, great at winning the ball in his own half and surging forward with the ball to the edge of the 18 yard box.

Sadly his end product from there is very poor, 90% of the time he will crash into the defender or produce an awful cross/shot.

With him presumably going full time you guys may be able to coach that poor decision making out of him. He is otherwise an effective player and his galloping runs are fun to watch.

Bromley quietly building a decent first XI there. Won’t be too strong in depth but ones to watch

With our budget we can’t do much more tbh. We’re a keeper short of a strong matchday squad.
If problems arise we have a couple kids in the wings but we’ll most likely rely on loans.
Some really good work off the pitch in the local area has helped the progress, local business involved, great community initiatives, strong local school presence, the 4G has increased revenue and the on-site facilities are rented out regularly.
Like the progress and loving the team being put together but don’t want to see us over stretch the resources and risk financial problems.
Doing it the right way and I don’t want that to change.

We're certainly going to need a breakdown of that McCallum deal, just to check everything is legal and above board.

To the nearest sausage roll will do.

Our wage bill must be really rising now. Plenty of interest from football league clubs. The yussuf sale is a weird one, a bit like when Asante left us to Grimsby. Have a good goal record but not actually starting every week.

Nice to see Paul McCallum is a lad with bags of ambition.
