Exactly like it was before, why would it be any different? Also you're quoting me from 2+ years ago?
You seem a touch more arrogant now that Wolves have a bit of money. Your attitude on FFP was different before Fosun took ownership of Wolves. There is no way anybody would want to leave Madrid, Porto, Monaco, etc. to come and play in Wolverhampton without being paid substantially more to what most other clubs could offer. Do you still oppose financial doping or does it not apply when it’s your own club?

Might come across as arrogant because all year we've had people write us off, the famous "we'll be shit in the winter" comments etc, and we've absolutely walked the league. Where were all these people saying Mendes was interfering in our transfers last year when we signed a bunch of shit players? Seems like people are only moaning now because we have signed some decent players. As for FFP we aren't even close to breaking it. Look at clubs like yourselves, Sheffield Wednesday, Reading etc who have also spent a fortune on absolute shite. I'd be more worried regarding FFP and your own clubs.

Tell you whats deluded some of the Villa mob getting giddy over finishing 2nd. That ship sailed long ago.
We've had our chance several times to take second. I'd say it's gone now, but it's certainly not impossible. Even if we win all our games, that probably wouldn't be enough. Massive win for Cardiff yesterday.

I honestly don't mind wolves, and most villa fans always have them a distant third behind the blues, and baggies. Part of me wants to see them do well, but there are some right unsavoury twats jumping on the bandwagon at the minute. They have every right to be excited, a bit like we were when Lerner took over, and we were one of the biggest spenders in Europe, with one of the biggest wage bills. Averaging around the 40k mark for 3 seasons, and some decent European nights. 6th was all we could manage, and fighting to break the top 4 became a distant memory. The plug was pulled, and we are where we are. Leicester was the closest thing to a miracle. Wolves will need to spend huge next season to even get close to sniffing 6th place arse.

Thats every club VL though, it's just more annoying for you due to vincinity. I was the same when Wednesday had a few good runs getting annoyed by people I had known for years suddenly never shuting up.

When any club is doing well, the twats come out of the woodwork and give it all big. Don't think any of us Wolves here are arrogant. Excited, maybe.
Your attitude on FFP was different before Fosun took ownership of Wolves. Do you still oppose financial doping or does it not apply when it’s your own club?
Look back at posts I made earlier this season. Don't like cheats, and said so with QPR and their fine. Personally, I'm not thrilled at the closeness of agents and clubs anywhere but feel (as suggested several times before) that the big problem is for us....not for other clubs.
As for why players would come to us, maybe players are getting wise to the fact that many have warmed the benches at the biggest clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Birmingham City and Man City.....but at Wolves they will get a lot of game time. You think Neves would be going to Russia from the subs bench or the U23 squad at a big club? Yeh it's a shop window and everyone has benefitted..players and club. If we hadn't got promoted, they would have all gone and for good money.
As for FFP, it's a three-year average and has been stated many times before, Wolves until the previous financial year were run constantly at a profit with no debt. Divide one year's big spending into three when two of the others have been at a profit and it looks healthy.

So no, my attitude to FFP is unchanged. Yes I am concerned about the wheel's coming off the bus with foreign owners and agents. But for now, we're partying. :bg:

I can now officially leave this forum.

I'll swing by from time to time to have a read and smug snigger at the same old bitter shite from Villa Lala. Get out pal and meet some ladies.

You'll be one of those wolves fans that show no interest when the chips are down. I've mostly been complimentary of wolves as a club, so try again knob head. Don't need to get out, I've got one hell of a woman at home :bdick:

Fuck off then, don't let the door hit you on the arse.

The irony is you've only signed up when you're on the cusp of promotion, glory hunting shitbag

Not quite true Villa Lala, in fact nowhere near the truth. Been there through thin and thinner with Wolves for many years AST and home ST holder. In fact just this week in light of the charge for Sunderland tickets on sale to folks with 1120 points, thats 12 away games including cup games, they reminded me of my loyalty points accrued this season.

" As a season ticket holder you are automatically credited with 1,000 points and then earn 10 additional points for every away match attended.

Your currently Loyalty Point balance is 3230 "

Thanks for your support!

Of course this will be lost on you but I hope that at least you'll try harder next season at being clever and try not to judge everyone by your own very poor standards :)

Ok, fair enough .

Being a villa fan, I have very high standards. It's in the blood I'm afraid. Anyway, we shall meet again.

Labelled as arrogant all season for no reason so may as well live up to the tag now. It's working an absolute treat so far.

Having officially entered it just three weeks ago. :ffs: In a thread where we were trying to dispel the theory that Wolves fans are c***s. Cheers.

Nevertheless, on behalf of everyone in this forum, thanks for your contributions: they have been wise and considered, thoughtful and to the point. Your input has freshened the forum up and made it the go-to place globally for wit and insight. The PL forum is avidly waiting your dynamic industrious and wide-ranging views. Who knows, next season you may get another Like.

You know I'm going to miss this forum a lot. The last few years there have been some great debates, great discussions and it has been an enjoyable experience....from when we were in the League 1 forum with SERNWA and the WABLO lot, and more recently as I've watched Ashton Gate getting rebuilt brick-by-fucking-brick.

An awful lot of the cliquey tossers seem to be in the PL forum, so maybe I will need to start supporting a team that is always in the Championship. Like Derby.

None of them in the Premier League section go to games bar a few Southampton fans and they'll be down here next season, it's a miserable section of the forum

I've been blessed and lucky enough to have witnessed just about each and every time in the Premier League that Benik Afobe has got himself clean through on goal, causing him to suffer an inexplicable minor nervous breakdown, live and in person in the 'best league in the world'tm - I trust our Wolves lot will be enjoying the same glorious spectacle next season.

But I know what you mean, and I don't think even the Saints lot have been going lately?! I think being more TV viewer oriented is just the nature of the PL beast. It's basically a TV soap opera after all. I guess Wolves are a returning character from a few years ago, only this time they've come into money whilst they've been away.

You'd better hope we don't develop the away end Herts! ;)
Enjoy the big league fella, the best team in the division by some way and well deserved!

I am all looking forward to more games on TV personally. At at least easier access to highlights, as a non attender that has been my real desire to see us back in the prem. I will also be collecting Wolves match Attax cards despite being 36 when the season hits.
