I'm not sure if anyone has started this thread yet, so I'll get it going. Feel free to put your clubs county cup embarrassments here. I'll start off with this:

Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy 1st Round

Bamber Bridge 7 (Seven) - 0 Southport.

Five players from the first team squad, the rest from the Under 21's. Still would have expected them to put up a bit more of a fight than that.

Yes thats a shocking result regardless of wether the squad is mainly under 21 players

Then again I cant talk as a strong Alfreton XI including Craig Disley and Craig Westcarr went down 2-1 to East Midlands Counties league side Selston in a friendly tonight - their first game under lights.

Horley Town away for us on 30th November in the Surrey Senior Cup 1st Round. Given it's usually our best chance of silverware I fully expect to us to put out a squad of youth players & get knocked out.

Sutton will be trailing in our wake as usual when we retain the Surrey Senior Cup this season.

Ohohoho, we've been drawn to face either Phoenix Sports or Gillingham in the quarter finals.

Lost 2-1 at home to Southend Manor (whoever they are) with a mix of reserves and academy players.
No longer interested in these tin pot cups as bigger fish to fry in the league.

Weird one. There are numerous posts in the local rag from Maidstone and Gillingham fans claiming to be totally disinterested in the game, unlike the other lot. I have work that night and won't be attending due to the prospect of idiots from both sides, most of who probably weren't alive during the league rivalry. It's only going to be reserves and youth anyway.

The Squatters were the only side I genuinely hated growing up as Gills fan. I only got to see one of the derby games of the early 90's (which we lost, naturally) but I used to take great delight in them getting beaten by everyone else. There were roughly an equal number of Gills and Squatters fans at my school, and life was very entertaining for us Gills in September 1992 when they went pop.

Couldn't give a monkeys about the current (ex)Squatters.

Rovers lost 1-2 aet home to Sandbach in the Cheshire Senior Cup. Mostly youth team, but a sprinkling of more experienced players, should have done better.

Our youth team lost at Northwich last night, all about the league this year and cementing our place in the division for next season as early as possible.

We play Altrincham next week. They usually beat us in cup ties.

We had a mixed squad of first teamers returning from injury/out of favour/unused subs/newbies gaining fitness and acadamy youngsters.
Beat Garforth Town away 0-6.
No Socrates for Garforth in this one!
