Could be just someone taking the piss on Twitter tbf. Not familiar with midlands/Derby tweeters so no clue who to believe.
Where is it from?

Brendan Rogers. Maybe he can get them to play "The Derby way" whatever that is.

"GAME'S GONE MAD"

He was under-performing, he got sacked, he gets a massive pay-off. Life.

What a fucking joke of a decision.

Derby really are a joke club.

And then to top it all off they go and appoint some academy coach no fucker outside ofDCFC have heard of? Hope he does a worst job then Clement!

Anyways good news for us, may mean a few more disillusioned Rams become Reds!

I hope he does. I might actually win my bet of finishing in the bottom half.

I hope there is more to it than we've been led to believe, otherwise it makes zero sense.

Not surprised but extremely disappointed, why bother giving him the job. He wasn't a good fit for us and that's Mel Morris' fault, nobody else's.

Depends what they're looking for - if it's a manager rather than a head coach role then possibly.

Quite a few potential, ambitious candidates available at the moment.
If they want promoting to the PL then he's the man.

What a weird decision, pay off a manager in his first job when they're 5th, and give the job to some random bloke with no experience, you could sort of understand if they had Pearson lined up.

I forgot this, but Wassell took charge of the 4-4 game v Ipswich. We were awful and losing 4-1 at half time, before McClaren stepped in and changed things round.

So he does have a little experience... :animatedf:

The way we're going about our business this season, 20+ mill spent and sacking managers after 8 months, we'll definitely have someone lined up IMO.

If Derby sign players above the managers head then they won't get Pearson. Relative was speaking to him in summer, asked him about Leicester and whether he'd ever manage you...said he wouldn't with the current regime who sign players above the managers head similar to what was happening more often at Leicester causing him and their board to fall out.

I've spoken to Pearson several times, he will never manage either Sheffield club, he likes the City too much.

About this "the Derby way" business. Its fair to say the previous 2 years at this club we've seen some spectacular free flowing attacking football. Regardless of who we signed, I'm sure MM wanted to see that style continue but under Clements guidance. This is rumoured to have been discussed pre season and agreed. Being honest now, we have seen nothing like that style this season, its been watchable at best. This may not all be Clements fault due to sheer amount of signings but their is no doubt he didn't know his best team, and if he didn't know that then how was he going to get them playing "the Derby way". Too many changes, too many like for like subs instead of game changing subs. Had the football been better this season, but the results the same I think he'd still be in a job tonight. He lost his way, and it was too bigger job for his first stint as Number 1.

The football this season has been so boring and laboured that I'm fairly pleased about this.

We've played good football under Clough and McClaren for a few years, even if it wasn't perfect, and Clement spent £25million to take that backwards.

I actually think we're in a good position in the league and we're still in with a good shout. I just hope someone can come in and finally snap us out of second gear.

If I had to see another 90 minutes of 900 passes and 1 shot on target, I'd start watching cricket.

You played good football under Clough?

Either Clements football was so bad it made Cloughs seem good or he got us playing completely different to how he did you
