Know they mean nothing this early in the summer, but they do make for interesting reading, especially when there's not much other news going around.

Unsurprisingly the three relegated teams are the favourites to go back up at this stage. Though it shows just how little information they are going off that the club least favourite to go up are still only 11/1. Imagine whoever loses the play off final will find themselves up alongside Boro.

Swansea 9/4
Stoke 11/4
West Brom 11/4
Middlesbrough 3/1
Derby 4/1
Brentford 5/1
Leeds 6/1
Norwich 6/1
Sheffield Wednesday 6/1
Birmingham 13/2
Bristol City 13/2
Hull 13/2
Sheffield Utd 13/2
Wigan 13/2
Blackburn 15/2
Nottingham Forest 15/2
Preston 15/2
Millwall 9/1
Reading 9/1
QPR 10/1
Bolton 11/1
Ipswich 11/1

Wouldn't have Swansea favourites. Don't really fancy any of the relegated teams, although a lot will depend on who they get as managers. If Lambert goes to Stoke they will finish upper midtable-playoffs. Swansea will lose their better players, and past that they just don't look very good. West Brom should be in the playoffs too if they keep Moore in charge.

You would expect Sheffield Wednesday to be much better this time around, aswell as Birmingham. Derby may not be as strong since they will have to balance the books.

Shrewsbury straight in to 2/5 upon their win in a couple of weeks.

No suprise to see us so low down on that list once again. If we can keep hold of the majority of our first team, and improve the squad/fringe players I fancy us to have a really serious push at the play offs this time around.

It's early but the league looks really open to me, with no stand out teams. Boro you'd imagine will be up there with Pulis in charge and I reckon Sheff Wed will have a good season. Not too sure on the 3 relegated teams, they look like big rebuilding jobs to me.

So early but highlights why our next appointment is so important. With Evans already confirming there won't be a significant increase on transfer spending, we need somebody like Ross or Hurst. If we get this one wrong we could face a long slog of a season.

You guys have got the basis of a decent team - it's very much built in McCarthy's image so without a fair amount of rebuilding it could be a struggle, but could easily see you guys hitting the play offs this year. 11/1 seems very long to me.

Not sure how we're the same or worse odds as the promoted teams to be honest.

Don't see any reason why we'll drop off this season, financially were as strong as we've been since the ITV Digital days.

I fancy us to push for play offs IF we get McClaren and Carsley in. We have some cracking players coming through so a couple of good additions and I think we'll do well.

Although I don't think we will get into the play offs this season, I do find it ridiculous that we are bottom of that list. Like you say, we have a good squad and I've said this to everyone who tells me to 'be careful what you wish for'.

Whoever takes the job has a stable club to start at, particularly now fans are back onside and the owner has shown his face. Looks like it'll be a different type of manager in Jack Ross which is a good approach for the club to take at this point in time.

Ipswich will be fine.

Few good loans and clever freebies and they'll be in playoff contention.

That 15/2 on Forest is generous. Karanka got Boro in the playoffs in his first full season and must have funds to play with else he wouldn’t have joined.

Always nice to get billion pound industry backing for the things you say - also nice to still get a bit of value - 9/4 is an invitation to print money.

Agreed, although I hope they have another pathetic season obviously.

Forest are the best bet there. They have funds to spend under the Greek owners and Karanka will be able to mould the team to his liking over the summer. I can see them having a very good season.

Hopefully Sheffield United go down, that will be good for all I think.

I'm quite tempted to have a flutter on Preston at those odds. They seem to be improving year on year and have had some awful luck with injuries this season. I expect them to be right up there with one or two shrewd signings.

I see Leeds have sold 10% of their club to the San Francisco 49ers owner.
I assume they've got a few quid to spend now so could well be involved at / near the top next season.

So am I tbh. I think it depends on keeping hold of key players like Davies, Pearson, Browne etc and finding someone who can score chances. Maguire staying fit all season would be good too. Quite confident we will be challenging top 6 at the very least.

Full season out of Maguire and he will hit 20.

Needs a good rest this summer.
