I personally think our own Danny Collins should be in there at CB, I mean how many other CB’s out there bang in 25 yarders on the opening day of the season like our Danny did?

I think Pearce and Walker are worthy of the places for us. Benning whilst is great for us has only 3 assists this season apparently and 0 goals whereas Lewington has 8 for MK but it’s good to see our lot there when this is picked by the managers.

Just out of interest why Grant?

Didn't Benning score against Macclesfield earlier in the season? Also, Lewington has more than 8 assists if you include winning penalties..he's on at least 10 assists.

Yes he did, forgot about that due to alcohol consumed after that shit show. Just went off the BBC site for assists for Lewington.

Hasn't Lewington been around since about 2007? I swear I remember him playing left back for the MK Dons in a game that was officiated by Darren Drysdale in the season they got promoted and we were relegated. I seem to remember it being a very good game but we always remember it as our first experience of Drysdale.

Bizarre really Mansfield having 4 players and Lincoln only 2. Same with Ryan Lowe picked over the Crowley’s. Can only think Lincoln have rubbed a few people up the wrong way.
Jim Bentley is my manager of the season, don’t know how he manages to keep Morcambe in the league with what he’s got to work with.

Lincoln are more of a unit than single stand out players though to be fair.

Scott Brown could have been a candidate for keeper mind, for a side who is struggling to keep 14 clean sheets and have the best away defence is remarkable but the Newport keeper had the premiership cup games to stand out in fairness.

Our keeper Lewis Ward would probably have been in contention if he'd been down here all season i reckon. The League 2 Manuel Neuer.

Is he the bloke that was in goal for Aldershot last year?

I've not seen a better right back than our very own Perry Ng this season. Not that I was expecting him to get in. It's always the clubs in the top 4 or 5. Which I understand, they're at the top for a reason I suppose.
agree with you there thought he was good at prenton park think there was a early error which norwood should have scored but being fair looked decent ,

Supporters of most of his previous clubs will find it hilarious, but Jake Caprice is actually as good as any right back I have seen this season.

Bit longer than that, he's been with us from the very start, stayed on from Wimbledon (he played about 30 games for Wimbledon before the move to MK) and has played on average about 40-45 games a season every year since. 700+ appearances for us and still going strong. For him to notch up 10+ assists this season at nearly 35 from left back is pretty impressive.

Massive Lolz at Edmundson being included.

Firstly, he's a CB - he's not made a single appearance at RB all season.
Secondly, he's not been *that* good. Decent, but certainly not spectacular. Also has moments of madness in him, and his distribution is shite. Very good in the air and strong in the tackle though.

As far as I am concerned, this appears to be a token inclusion based on him having played the most minutes for a player 21 and below this season.

James Norwood chosen as League Two player of the season, and selected in the overall Football League eleven.

Well done Nors.

Seems odd to have 4 players there last night!

Hope they all had a good time and can go on and get the main prize of promotion

Well done to Norwood fully deserved even though he didn’t look great in both games against us but are we sure he’s player of the year Bury fans have said all season it’s Mayor I started to believe it

Krystian ‘Chief’ Pearce is also in the overall EFL team, well deserved being the rock in that superb defence.

How has Matt Preston been for you this season Conker? I was gutted (but not surprised) he chose you over us as he seemed a decent pacy, solid league 2 defender.

Fair play to Norwood, I never rated him at FGR really and I said he'd flop up here with Tranmere but he's had a superb season evidently.

He struggles with distribution a bit because we like to play it from the back but him, Pearce and Sweeney are the back three that take credit for least amount conceded, so overall you have to say he’s done a good job.

Yeah I remember now that his passing isn't the best. Fair play to Flitcroft, he's put together a cohesive defensive unit.

Yeah and it’s not what I expected to be strongest to be honest, but to bring in Preston and Sweeney then play a back three was quite risky but it’s paid off.

He does rely on it a bit to much too, sitting back after a narrow lead is a fair criticism.

Seems to be a bit of a pattern of players doing ok at FGR then becoming superstars at Tranmere. They might replace Wrexham as our feeder club? Have to take Doidge in the summer.

Nors scored 50 goals from the wing for us in about 3 seasons which is good going. Always thought he had it in him, problem was Pennock didn't rate him for some reason and sidelined him. Doesn't help himself at times but quality player.
