Terrible shortlist. Fulham have 2 fullbacks? No Cardiff players? John Ruddy?

Wolves fans seem to have forgotten that Ruddy was mostly solid for huge parts of the season and had games were he did nothing then made an outstanding save. Its easier to make a case for him not being better than other keepers, but he has the most clean sheets and has been a part of the reason way.

Warnock or Wilder would have both been the best choices for manager so they got that right.

Amusing that that backline would actually be horrible. Does Sess even ever play lb for them? Coady would be horrendous in a 2.

Thought Watkins might have been in with a shout but you can’t really argue with that front line

That team of the year is fucking stupid yet again. Terry, Cairney, Fredericks, Sessegnon at left back who's played about two games there all season....

Should be Bamba, Patterson, Doherty and Douglas in there imo.

London bias for Fulham

Terry is there because of his name. Lost count the amount of times Jota put him on his arse at Molineux.

The correct choice of Bristol City player was made, at least.
Cant really make an argument for anyone else but Reid, what a hero.
99% of our fans would have got rid of him years ago, idiots.

Ruddy? Seriously? (No..he hasn't been solid all season.... :bg1::bl:)
And Leon Clarke should be in there. And George 'First Minute' Saville. And that Traore at Boro. Seems Wolves and Fulham biased.

Traore... he's turned up for about two months this season. Most overrated player in the division.

Can understand why Coady and Neves are in. Ruddy has kept the most clean sheets in the division but he isn't the best goalkeeper. His defence infront of him are the main reason. I'd argue Doherty and especially Douglas are worth consideration but I can't be too greedy. I'll be honest I've hardly heard of Ryan Fredericks this season.

That team would still struggle in the PL. Such is the gulf.

As a midfielder, I would have done TBH, but as a forward, we'll do very well to keep him.

Leon Clarke has scored 16 goals from open play, more than any other player, his all round play in certain games has been outstanding too, I ain't saying he's a better player than others in the team but he's certainly unlucky to miss out on it.

Played really well against both Cardiff and Wolves too, how has he done against the other top 6 teams?

Scored away at derby, scored a hatrick at home against Fulham, was quality in the 1st half at home to villa. He didn't play at home to derby.

I was in the minority but despite not wanting him back initiall I thought he did okay in his second spell with us in L1 at least. He was a focal point when he played and allowed Dicko to be spelled which I think many under value.

Villa's Swarborick would be 1st name on the list, he was outstanding for them at Hillsborough.

I think David Coote would give him a good run for his money, it seems to be ok for Villa players to punch away free kicks inside the penalty area.

Course he has and course he is. Love it when people comment on things they have absolutely no idea about. Yes he's improved since Pulis (which was December so 4 months) but when Monk actually gave him a chance he was still quality just didn't know what to do with it as well as he does now and never got a good run in the team week in week out.

From who scored, since Pulis: 11 out of 20 games he's scored higher than 8/10. 5 goals, 6 assists. Not bad for someone so 'overated' and that's baring in mind most teams now put 2/3 players on him.

Not sure Sessegnon deserved both.
It would be interesting to know who would win if everyone in this forum voted for their player of the year. Each team nominates one player from the or own team and then everyone votes on those (but not for their own player).
