Think we'll get the result here, 4-0 city - Proving we don't need no jayden stockley to bag the goals.

If we dont win here we can pretty much write off our chances of promotion. Massive game. Need 3 points to stay in the running.

Can't see many goals in this. I'll take 1-0 but more likely 1-1

After winning three on the bounce, we are due a defeat. Despite winning our last away game, it was “only” Notts County and our away record is generally shite. I’m expecting to lose fairly convincingly and would be over the moon with a draw.

I fancy us to get something from this, calderwood has totally changed how I see us nowadays, from being totally bored shitless under Derry to dunne trying his best but couldn’t motivate the players, calderwood has got us organised and looking like we’re capable of scoring a goal or two.

2-2

On Loan from Bradford, striker Alex Jones could be on the bench today but probably not. Whoever has that role has a good chance of getting on in the second half - when I expect us to be 1 or 2 goals down.

Having managed to break the awayday habit, I could find no motivation for heading down to Devon (or Yeovil), although I am giving Cheltenham some consideration.

I would have given us no chance if Stockley and Boateng had been playing. Without them or reasonable replacements, we probably have half a chance. If we do get something, it's unlikely to be a dour 0 - 0.

With the new signings, Jabo and Amoo fit and a bit of spark in the camp, a good result might be 2 - 2. More likely a comfortable 2 - 0 home win. Forde may not be fit. We can only hope that Mitov is building a bit of confidence and a settled side can gel further and keep up some momentum. I'd be inclined to drop either Brown or Hepburn-Murphy to a strong bench for this one as Amoo and Dunk will provide a bit better protection for our dodgy defending fullbacks. Going with a 1966 style 424 that will mostly be 4231 or 4141

Mitov
Halliday, Taylor, Taft, Carroll
Deegan, Maris
Amoo, Ibehre, Brown, Dunk

Subs: Kevin Pilkington (age 44+), John, Darling, Lewis, Lambe, Azeez, Hepburn-Murphy

Phew. Hard work but we shaded it. Law won the game for us there. Obviously we should have scored the penalty and we hit the bar first half. But we are struggling up front. Azeez looked good for Cambridge and I was relieved when he went off. Not a classic but take the three points.

I wasn’t there so hard to give a decent view but sounded like we were well beaten though a tad unfortunate with the deflected goal. Azeez looking good sounds very unusual....!

Good win against a form team. Taylor seems to have made us much more defensively solid of late with only 1 goal conceded in 4. Feared the worst when Forte missed the penalty but good perseverance from the players to get the winner even if it was a bit lucky.

Onto a big game vs MK at the park next week, which will be interesting if nothing else.

Lack of a goal or even significant goal threat no surprise with no Jabo up front.

If that's the end of our striker transfer activity, it's going to be a long and uncomfortable end to the season.

We are missing Stockley so much. Anyone know where we can get a 20 goal per season striker on the cheap? :tw:
