Other way round would've been great for me as I'm in Newcastle that weekend!

Last season I stuck £20 in a bucket to support you lot, so I'll take it personally if you knock us out now.
Very much appreciated!

Let’s just say we’re not that hopeful of making round two.

Reckon Jay Saunders will be watching, lol?
If he ends up as their manager (and it's confirmed soon) I could see it being a TV game. Don't expect it though. Always a chance he just comes down to watch though, he did for I think it was the Bromley game

Reckon they’ll have more there than you will.

Well that won’t be a problem for you in the cup this season, will it?

If you knew enough to be aware of the backstory to that comment then you wouldn’t have wasted the time making that comment.

He now works for Bromley as a first team coach.
He was at the game in his new Bromley gear trying to keep a ''low profile''

Didn’t realise he was with you - how’s he getting on? Was brilliant for us at the start of his loan spell last season, picked up a bad injury then was poor once he returned. Surprised he’s slipped down to NLS level as like you say, on his day he is class.

Scored a peach on his debut after 17 seconds:) Then v Dorking in the last round of the cup he scored twice, the first he promptly hurdled the advertising hoarding to run over to a French flag hanging in the stand and subsequently had got suspended because of it.

How disappointing, oh well at least when Warrington complete their demolition of our team tonight, we won't be missing out on anything much. :ds:

We’re getting invaded by the MASSIVE following of Bristol Rovers. I don’t think our stadium is big enough to cope with the sheer numbers that they’ll bring.
I see you still have problems with us. You need to get over it -- God i'd forgotton about your lot.

I'm worried so many at Maidstone see Macclesfield as some kind of pushover. Pride before a fall and all that.

Whilst better than Bristol away, still a crap draw for us. Unlikely to be a televised game and we'll be favourites to lose the tie.

Haringey Borough play in Wood Green, not Harringay - which is about 2.5 miles down the road.

Harringay Stadium was demolished a year before I was born and is now a Sainsburys.

I’m doing an article on what non league fans are charged to get in games and I’ve got all the National League clubs figures except Wrexham, I just can’t find it anywhere.
Does anybody know how much they charge please?
I paid £20 there back in September.

We don’t really. It’s just a meme that we’ve decided to flog some more.
It’s a funny sort of world when a home draw against a well-supported club two divisions above us can be viewed by some of our support as crap.
Personally, I don’t think it’s a bad draw at all. It’s just that the novelty of playing the massive Gas has worn off.

Depends on what you want from a cup run. Personally I want to get to the third round and get a plum away tie - the sort of tie that can change a clubs financial fortunes and puts a buzz into the club again.

It's nothing against Bristol Rovers (I found the running gag about their ginormous support got old very quickly), but it is a vanilla draw for us - on par with the tie at home to Wycombe a few years back IMO.

Woking at Plainmoor. Both sets of fans on the whole seem to think this is a sh*te draw.
Yes, it'd be nice to get passed Woking and whoever we'd end up with in R2 to land a plumb tie with one of the big boys away in R3. However, personally, I'd prefer us to go out as soon as possible so that we can *cliche time* concentrate on the league.

We've pocketed something like 50k from this campaign (not to be sniffed at I know) but I'd rather we were free of any cup runs sooner rather than later so we can get up amongst the front runners in the NLS and make a stab at retaining National League* status first time out.

*Even though that would mean having to travel to god-foresaken northern dumps like Halifax et al again.

Gutted for Daggers who could do with the prize money unlike Boreham Wood!

Come on Southport. The thought of Boring Wood being a game away from the Third Rd fills me with dread.
