Yeovil can sell out 6k at 30 quid, why would they make it any cheaper for folks likely to not come back?

Capacity 9565 of which around 2000 will be given to Man Utd. Then there will be a large amount of FA, players families, press, media, hangers-on etc. taking a large slice of the home spaces that you wouldn't get for a normal league game so round 7000 for home fans. Last time we put up some seating on scaffolding in one corner which added at least another 100 onto the gate (woohoo).

Sorry about that I've been to Huish twice and forgot it held more than I thought.

Be a good pay day for the club.

When we see that Hartlepool are going close to the wall for 200k who can blame Yeovil for trying to cover their own arses from this game?

I have sympathy with what Yeovil are doing. We did exactly the same when we played Liverpool in the FA Cup a couple of seasons back (think we charged £38 for seats in the Main Stand). Ultimately, the regular fans on the whole understand. Why wouldn't they maximise the potential money they can make from the match? Clubs who are reliant on windfalls to compete and stay afloat would be mad not to take advantage of these opportunities.

i would like to see season ticket holders, the backbone of any club,be given as many tickets as they want in the case of yeovil.
none of the extra fans at this game are coming to watch yeovil over manchestdoor yanited...and wont come back again...
at least if s/t holders could give tickets to friends/relations/workmates who live local then it might entice a few back again ??

FWIW it's 2 tickets for every STH and 1 ticket for every bundle ticket holder.

I don't have a problem with what Yeovil are charging for this cup tie. I just wish that we had a plum tie at home where we could be in a position to do the same thing. We have not played a top division side at home in either cup competition since we played West Ham Utd in the League Cup in 96/97!

I've heard from a very reliable source that we actually wanted to price it higher but Man Utd asked us not to and suggested the 2015 pricing structure, which is what we went with in the end.
Good to see ManU looking out for the ordinary working fan where moneybags Yeovil have lost their touch.

Our tie is at home on the Friday night. A lot of whinging already about this mainly from United fans. The traffic is going to be a nightmare, even more so than usual, as one of the routes to the ground is now closed for roadworks. I'd say get there about midday to be on the safe side.

Because of the draws in the FA Cup and the Checkatrade we now find ourselves in a remarkable run of 8 home games in 9. Our pitch is going to be a mess, we have 7 home games in January and 5 in the space of 14 days coming up.

They took a few themselves a couple of seasons ago about 7k but I'm not sure a 4th round FA Cup tie will hold the same appeal TBH mate.

The poster often thinks their away figures are better than they are, he expected a huge following at Vale the other week, they took 1,698.

Good evening SoutheySWFC.

Tickets for MK Dons went on sale to season ticket holders this morning.

By 3pm we had sold 4000.

:bye:

Like a home game then ??

Correct, but many are open about staying away from home games.

We're literally going to sell 8000 tickets for a game against a lowly League 1 side we have played 4 times in 5 years. It's remarkable really.

The United fans will just have to allow a bit longer before setting off from their homes in London to get there in time then.

5000 sold in the first day of sales for MK Dons away. Will not come close to general sale.

Incredible really. If it was Man United away or the semi-final then fair enough, but a lowly League 1 side where we have visited 4 times in 5 years is surprising.

Once again it shows up SISU and what they could've had with reasonable ownership. The fact a poor FA Cup draw will gain a bigger turn our than the majority of home games this season.

I'm pleased you've sold so many. You had Notts Co away yet this season? I know you'd fill that.

Still, given you sold 40,000 or so for that daft cup thing last season the message should already be loud and clear.

They haven't in recent years. Think they normally bring about 1,500 - 2,000.

Still, any club outside the PL taking 8,000 away is pretty good going IMO.

Oh, thought they would have done given the current anger at SISU

We've sold just under 800 for our game against Wednesday tomorrow night, very decent effort.

We've done well in these sort of cup games under Curle, usually just coming unstuck (lost on pens at Derby and Liverpool in the League Cup). I'd love to see us progress, maybe nick a 1-0.

Very good numbers, I expect us to progress despite the injury issues as the players should be out to impress their new manager. Don't think it will be easy though and can see us scraping through with a 2-1 AET.

Through 6k now, I do believe we will be given the top tier also. Why would MK waste opportunity of more revenue, they will not sell 20k Home tickets

Dave is being transformed into a 10,000 capacity super stadium for the Spurs visit next week. More temporary seating going in behind both goals - bouncy, bouncy!

Only about 200 home tickets left for Mansfield - Cardiff in the home ends, Cardiff sold around 500.

Any chance of reinstalling last season's pitch as a one-off for this game?

Unfortunately not as we seem to have unclogged the drains this season. Flynn is gutted as the Newport RFC Game scheduled for next Saturday has been pushed back to the Sunday to accommodate the Spurs game - we all wanted it brought forward to the Friday evening but Poch was having none of it.

We're now on Priority Two ticketing for our game so anyone with 4 ticket stubs from home games this season. No news on how many tickets have been sold so far but I can only assume the season ticket & bundle ticket holders took all theirs so probably 3-4000.
