One starter squad.

Will rotate the french players for fitness reasons and have Lulic, De Rossi, Perotti, Quaresma and Werner as the main subs.

Oh okay. I don't really have time to have a proper go until Monday anyway, so I'll stick to my peasant's edition.

From what early access people have said, Bakayoko is basically last years Kante if he was bred with a Minotaur.

Goalkeepers are completely and utterly broken.

4-2-3-1 narrow is also a dead formation.

Kick off glitch is still there.

How can you play Fifa and not know the kick off glitch?!

Broken as in bad, can't save low driven shots.

So, I've played 9 games, took me a while to get to grips as I experimented with stuff and here are my observations.

- Defending isn't anywhere near as bad as people have made out. I'm seeing all this 7-6 stuff and I don't have a clue what people are doing. I've conceded 22 goals from the 9 games, which in real world terms is fucking dreadful. However... 10 of those came in two of the first games I played; 12 from 7 reads a lot better!

- The biggest issue with defending is the full backs. The AI for the full backs is dreadful at tracking runs, it also doesn't tuck inside well to cover up the space - that needs to be done manually and it needs a right analog stick change as L1 never selects the full back. Additionally, the full backs have to have the instruction of stay back whilst attacking, it's a disaster otherwise.

- The other point in defending is that you will be punished for giving up space. Goalkeepers don't deal with long shots very well and they don't deal with low driven shots, give away space around the edge of the area and you will absolutely be punished.

- Pace looks to be massive when attacking, a real pace whore of a player will get onto hopeless through balls, I've seen three examples of where this has happened and the final outcome has been a penalty... Which leads me onto my next point.

- I've had a high number of penalties won and conceded, one of them was a slide in the area where I legit won the ball, the other two I've conceded have been where I've just been controlling the defender and only pressing the directional stick a foul has been given. I think I've had a few of those given against me also.

- For centre backs I think a high agility is needed, I've had a couple of times where a nimble player has been running at me and I've failed to cope so well because I have the turning circle of the titanic.

- I don't understand people saying crossing is back, Mandanda has punched clear everything into my area and the opposition has saved every crossing attempt that's resulted in a header, and it's Gignac SBC upfront so yeah. Oh, if anything is thinking of doing him, be warned Plea is noticeably better than him. He's two clunky and although shielding is still there it's less effective than last year as an attacking tool.

So would you say avoid playing 3 at the back?

When defending 1v1 with your centre back, hold down X and do not rush into the tackle otherwise you will absolutely be done, especially v a Lacazette or Aubameyang. Interceptions are much better this year, control a defender and cover the runner whilst second man pressing for the midfielder.

For a two man midfield having one defensive minded and one offensive minded CM seems to have a bit of balance this year.

Okay, this guy was utterly trash, but he had both Ronaldos.

Playing the 4231 wide version. Seems to work really well using a targetman striker with a CAM and wingers who can all get in behind and finish. Just beat some guy 5-0 with him ragequitting 50 minutes in

I've got stay central and targetman on the ST, stay forward on the CAM, cut inside on the LM and stay wide on the RM.

Rondon and Mandzukic are just getting a tonne of assists from Barkley/Zielinski, Townsend/Pjaca and Musonda/Cuadrado running in past them for an overlap

I've got get in behind on the lm and rm, stay back and man mark on one CDM and stay back on the full backs. Now 8-5-3 after starting 1-3-3, only in seasons.

Low driven shot really needs to be nerfed. Not had anyone really use it against me, but it's basically a guaranteed goal if done in the D. Is there a way to capture footage on PS4?

Sold up my team (well, the French players, not Ben Yedder), and I've just been building coins with loans and Serie A players where I don't have two loan players.

Ooooh, facing 3atb. Will report how it plays.

Double tap options to start recording and then press it again and click whatever it says to save the video

It also auto records the last 15 minutes of gameplay but you need to exit the game and loss about with the share factory or the video recording setting or something to edit from that.

Just had my first loss. Guy was using both Cristobal Ronaldo and the proper Ronaldo

Horrendously unbalanced. As much as I've dug out the keepers, I don't think any of my goals were down to keeper errors, they were just clear cut chances.

On the other hand having a lm/lw and rm/rw completely overloaded my defence and he generally had three/ four in the area for crosses, three of his goals came from crosses.

Didn't help when I went 4-3 up he was clearly on ultra attacking mind.

I kinda don't wanna replace Andria Townsend. Even if he's non rare and shit irl he's on 8 goals and 3 assists in 6 for me at LM

Oh how I've missed pace being OP! Chuba Akpom upfront in my starting Prem team, nine goals in five matches and Julian N'Goy his strike partner (play 4-4-2) with four in four.

However, I'm not looking forward to when everyone realises defending is just holding the 'X' button.

I got an untradeable Rooney so sold Barkley for 6k and shoved Rooney in his spot

Also sold off Cuadrado as he was ok but he was going for 20k and I can pick someone up for a tenth of that who'd do what he was doing.

Also got IF Josef Martinez. He's only going for discard price and last year his IF was amazing so just gonna keep him for supersub.
